Just broke my NV stereo matrix. What's another option on the NV site that doesn't have as much blow back?

No way I'm spending over $100 on glass these days.

I've been enjoying this extra heavy duty glass made from thick ass glass. The amount of blow back seems to be related by the amount of water in the glass. With the weedeater head I can adjust the water level to completely eliminate the messy blow back. https://www.newvape.com/9-bent-neck-showerhead-18mm-female-9350

yeah DHgate or this big Globe from Sneaky Pete!! I've been thinking of that bad boy for flower.

EDIT: looks like some new glass at NV too, or I didn't see some of them before. I liked my previous TAG purchases, but then noticed their website was all out of stock and heard they were shut-down. Now I've seen them pop-up on DH Gate and NV!

Yep, TAG was raided in PA along with lots of other headshops over the past year. Makes no sense as they have a pretty progressive medical program and will probably be recreational in the next decade.

I went with a DHgate mobius sidecar.

I had a light blue TAG Klein for a couple years, really really liked it. Only gave it away because I got more into higher-end glass.

..finding that the lollipop carb cap , works great with the weedeater..nice pair.

I played around one day with my Liger carb cap and the Weedeater, didn't really see a benefit. How are you using it?

I’ve been using the D-Cup carb cap with the WeedEater!!!
Works well, and I have the extra benefit that, it’ll evaporate and clean up cap residues, at the same time.
WeedEater and glass bowls, are a very good match.
I’ve been doing one hit snaps.
ABV gone in one hit!!!
Stay vaped.

Here's a prototype avb can for us to discuss over the weekend.
The alum plug is an old discontinued part that I have a bunch of and it's good for tapping the bowl so not to ding the can lid. The dia of the can is 3" same material as our grinders. and will fit in the existing 6" rnd stands. The debowling spike can also still be used.

@NewVape710 Looks pretty good! For an open design like that though, that’s a pretty big can...I can’t see wanting to leave that much AVB sitting out in an open container for a long time. I think I might finally have a cover idea that would work for you though:

A solid top insert to go under (or in place of) the top shown there. That way you can have it open while in use and really cut down on the smell when you’re not.

In fact, if the top went down into the can a little more to create a mini-tray you could leave it in place, dump AVB on top of it from the bowl, and then dump the contents of the “lid” into the can and seal it back up.

Sound good? :)

@VaporWare something like this

or this

I'm not so sure that would be effective and trouble free. I also agree with you the prototype has more volume than most will require, the height could be cut down considerably. @NewVape710 the spikes are like an old friend, but if nit needed that may be better fro longe term screen health?

Yes at @YaMon and @VaporWare ideas @NewVape710
Half the height of the can is enough, even less imo.
You can always dump at the end of a session, or full day of vaping.
A sunken, permanent closed lid, makes sense.
Just unscrew system, carefully flip the lid just a bit, ABV falls into can, reposition, screw lid, done.
Great idea indeed.

I thought that too.
Very neat indeed.

@NewVape710 Anyway we can see the prototype in the 6” round stand to see scale?

I like a bigger capacity, less dumping maintenance!
I’m sure most that have the 6”
stand have the dump station closest to you. I think Edwyn planned on the taller can being away from you, so it’s above the heater coil and post for easier access.

With that said, I know your also working on new stands as well like the tool shed, that a taller abv container might work better in.

I also like VaporWares lid idea, although I’ve never covered my abv, still a nice option.

I like the tap plug also over the spike for flower, but will still probably use the spike for hash.

Wish I had an idea to add but I don’t, just wanted to give my :2c:, and hopefully keep this conversation flowing.

I don't really understand the AVB/smell thing. I mean, if you need to be stealth, why even attempt to leave it out? Otherwise just dump it into a ball jar and throw it somewhere sealed up.

I'm just confused as to how you're blowing clouds of vapage but the smell of AVB at the caddy is a concern?

I agree. The smell from the AVB is no concern to me.

I'd like to see the can in the stand for scale as well.

It’s not an issue while I’m using it, but if I’m only using it in maybe a 4 hour window one day that’s an extra 20 hours the AVB smell is spreading throughout the room/house for no reason.

Right now that happens a lot because I don’t like taking everything out of the stand to dump it all the time, and the separate can already makes that much easier to do, but the can shown above is pretty large.

Since I think it’s large enough to hold many days of AVB for most people, it makes more sense to me to either reduce the height to just hold enough for a day of heavy use or so and expect people to empty it regularly, or keep the large volume and add a cover to keep it contained until you do decide to empty it.

AVB isn’t anywhere near as unpleasant as ashes, but I think people generally settled on shallow or covered ash trays for good reasons. :)

@YaMon Those would be cool, but they don’t really fit with this design, so I was just suggesting a solid lid with no mechanics elements to worry about.

Something like a thin metal jar lid turned upside down so it sits down a bit below the top piece that holds the spike and brush and provides a place for AVB from a session to collect before being dumped into the larger can. Does that make sense?

It would need some kind of tab or grip somewhere to make it easy to lift out, but otherwise it’s pretty simple.

Using a shorter can and leaving it open would also be okay I think, I just can’t see most people leaving AVB out anywhere near long enough to fill a can that deep without a cover.

Make one that screws on a mason jar, there's this mason jar size and height that would fit inside that hollow part, that way, I can screw back the original cover of the mason jar after:)

I LIKE this idea. What about a dual-sided lid? One side with the brush, the other to keep it shut. Brush side up while using, then when done flip over and screw down (this means the brush will be pointing down). Small flap to let the AVB in. Works on any Mason jar of the right size. Just an idea!

^Nice but with debowler and brush, that NV design is close, We won't be needing the jar up to us what size or height, go easy on the Logo and company name, a small tiny embossed or stamped logo, company name and country of origin would be neat.:peace:

I was using 2x 5mm SiC and 2x 5mm quartz terp pearls and just went to 7x 5mm SiC. Barely any residue left after the past 2 rips. 1 q-tip head gets it all.

Will have to mess around more, but already at 7 I am pretty happy with the results.

7x 5mm also cover half of the VROD dish perfectly.
