Dabpress Rosin Plates

At one point I had calculated about +/- 1% change in yields +/- 10F, I hadn't expanded that beyond maybe 3-4 strains but it gave me an idea that the higher temperatures strip more off the flower or at the very least push it out faster so it has more of a chance to release from the puck versus soaking in.

Ideally I think a good way to check it would be to press out a puck and then use a solvent wash with ethanol or high proof grain alcohol on the puck to calculate the remainder. Do the same with a higher/lower temp puck. You can then decarb the wash and add it to coconut oil and make some canna caps or coconut medible oil for your coffee.

I've not uploaded pics in a while, from when imgur still worked...

I'm peeing high quality chemdawg, Grease monkey and a few others, but nothing over the top visually with regards to frostiness. I can get 20% or better... And learned to back off before blowouts.

Pressed all my fresh the night before I left country, I wanted to wish while I was at proper humidity. I'm set for a while before I do another squeeze

Happy Friday FC!

Here are some updates from Roger, as always we continue to work towards the best solutions for our customers to produce their own rosin.

First, we have been waiting for a customs release for our containers reaching the US warehouse, we do apologize for the delay and hope to have these products available in the US warehouse soon.

Now some bad news, good news. Our 12-ton 4x7" AIO unit has not passed R&D after 20 days of stress testing, we were not satisfied with the hydraulics from our supplier so we will not be creating a 12-ton AIO unit incorporating a bottle jack. Instead, we are going to design the 12-ton AIO unit with a hydraulic cylinder, no pump included.

Furthermore, we will be offering our own 10000 PSI pump with gauge. Rosineers will be able to choose a dabpress pump to pair to their hr10t35v and upcoming hydraulic cylinder presses without having to DIY build your own. @LesPlenty I hope you find this news to your liking =)

If everything goes as planned, our new pump should be available in the US within 2-3 months, sooner if purchased from the China factory. We appreciate your patience.

We hope all of our current customers are satisfied, as always we do appreciate your word of mouth support and unbiased reviews of our products.

I just want to give Dabpress some love for an excellent machine (6 Ton Press) and excellent customer service. I procrastinated last week and missed an opportunity to grab one of the 3 still available on Amazon Prime so when I placed my order off their site on the 3rd I chose the California warehouse option. I received an email reply saying my order was in fact coming from China and would take 5-7 Business days along with a day or two to arrange shipment. Well long story short is it's only the 6th and I received my press hours ago! From China to NJ via DHL Express (Free Shipping)...Thanks!!:tup:

That is so awesome you got the press so quickly, congrats and thanks for your business! :cheers:

Some of the warehouses are a little ambiguous

CA = Canada
CN = China
US = USA
EU = Europe

I bought a $70 gram of rosin at the dispensary the other day to compare with what I am pressing at home and my rosin was way nicer. It’s turning me into a super pot snob. :lol:

Ouch that's expensive! That'd power a light in a small room for 2 months =) Glad to hear your homemade meds are setting standards :tup:

@psychonaut

I recently got my 6-ton dabpress a month ago direct from the website from the Canadian warehouse. I absolutely love it.

I just received an email from you guys asking for a review on your .com.

Are there any incentives for reviews? Would love a pre-press, and would even add reviews on reddit and instagram as well. Lemme know :)

Personally I press at 180f on my 6-ton for 1:30. Then I bump the heat up to around 200f - 205f to do a 2nd/3rd squish and get the remaining rosin out. I keep first squish low-temp stuff in a jar. My 2nd/3rds I keep on parchment paper. I dab both, but the 180f stuff when I want the nicer looking, tasting product

My presses tend to land between 2:30 and 3:30, but I tend to get just about everything in one golden press. I've tried second runs and never been able to collect any notable amount on a second.

I don't feel I sacrifice much yield on the lower temps. I am still getting 20%+ yields and up to 25% on some strains.

I do find myself adjusting temp/pressure/time with each strain to find the sweet spot. ChemDawg has been a phenomenal squisher at low temps. Really spicy on flavor, tastes just like the plant.

There is certainly a happy balance somewhere in between. But frankly I just LOVE the color and flavor I am getting at 160. When I go to 180, Yield is not much improved but the flavor is not as spicy.

Just waiting on some of this skunk #1 to cure and I'll be trying out those ultra lower flower temps. I usually press at 200F, my material holds up pretty good at high temps and the flavors still on point!
