Got the Miqro yesterday! I wasn't really paying attention to how I had my mouth on the flat mouthpiece & the hot vapor burned my lip I'll be using the extended piece from now on. Regarding batteries. Does anyone have both KeepPower and Vapecell batteries? How do they compare, the same or is one better?

Please note the post above yours, and mine four above that (and the one linked in it).

You don't need the "high discharge" (meaning it's wasted). Under actual testing, the Vapcell is the call. Remember, published capacity numbers are often wishful thinking.

Hi All:I have experimented with my MIQRO. I wedged a stainless screen at the bottom of my chamber and it reduced if not eliminated any debris coming through the air path. In addition it improved the air flow. Secondly I am using small glass (Atmos style) spacers to reduce the chamber size for micro-dosing very effectively. Now why hasn't Davinci thought of this?

Glad you're happy with the modifications, perhaps others will be too.

What makes you think DaVinci hasn't thought of this? If you check back on Ascent (two models and several years back) you'll see they did just that........ A glass spacer was developed with considerable efforts (problems making them) and offered to owners. I have mine somewhere.

We've been told that loads as small as some are looking for was not part of the design goals.

They may have thought about spacers but they haven't produced any.......yet.

Makes no sense that it isn't part of their design as it is called the MIQRO and is advertised as a micro-doser.

So they have thought of it? Have you checked their posts on this thread? Or the others where this topic has been discussed in depth?

Micro dose is, IMO, a very subjective term. Others might not agree with your definition.

It's "advertised as a micro-doser"? I just checked, I don't think you're right. They start out by saying "33% smaller than its predecessor and with a fully functional adjustable oven, this small vaporizer is sleek and simple!" which is what I think is the source of 'micro'? Later they advertise, "You can adjust the oven size by 50%, consuming less herbs but getting the desired dose when using the MIQRO vaporizer". Can be reduced to half size, not to 'micro dosing' whatever that is.

I am sorry, I am not intending to be confrontational here, I just thought I was being helpful by posting my experimentation and findings.

As I said already, hopefully your thoughts will be useful to some owners. I'm trying to keep the record straight.......

Can you point me to a link? I would be very interested in trying out.
I have never had an issue with debris getting through mouthpiece, but good to know a screen is helping you.
Hi Jill:

I guess the amount of debris would depend on the fineness of the grind. However I found even with a less than fine grind some debris gets into the air path if not the mouthpiece and teh screen just eliminates that and hopefully reduces the cleaning chore.

As for teh glass spacers they look like the ones sold here:https://www.vapepartsmart.com/honeycomb-vaporizer-pen-glass-screen-atmos-raw/
I use either one or two one partially overlapping the other really reduces the chamber size.

Thanks Naddude - so they are small enough to fit in the oval shape?

Enjoying my mIQro after a couple weeks of daily (very moderate) use! Question: could I have built some tolerance over such a short period of time, or is it operator error (misuse of the device)? I’ve cleaned her out a couple times (very easy BTW). Thx.

Yes they are and in fact I can overlap one over another.

Does it also work by putting it on top of the pearl, unscrewing it all the way & just placing it on top of herb then putting these spacers on top of that?

I see no reason why not, unscrewing the pearl has been discussed before. You have to wait for it all to cool, of course. It need not be glass, of course, in that case.

I bought my spacers in a smoke shop so I could see exactly what size they are. Otherwise if you are mail ordering them ask for the size (diameter). Interestingly the "store" that I linked in my post also sells IQ spacers. In time I suspect we will see MIQRO spacers to the exact size (as OF predicted.) Meanwhile the ones I use work fine. As does the screen.

I am still adjusting to my MIQRO> I also have a Terra and it is a completely different animal.

Interesting concept. I'll have to try that. So far what I have done is place two partially overlapping spacers on top of the herb. That works as the spacers are round and the chamber oval shaped. Then I unscrew the pearl accordingly. Using this method the pearl is actually not unscrewed all the way out.

Two weeks in with the Miqro, a couple of more observations...

With my method of a hit or two at a time and then turning the unit off, the battery life sucks. I get 15-20 minutes worth, but enough for a full day. This is using smart path 2 for the first couple of hits, then smart path 3 for most of the rest. I go to the smart path 4 for the last couple.

I'm definitely using less material. The MFLB is my frame of reference because that's the only other vape I've used. I fill the Miqro to the top of the oven (the white part) and then tamp it down so about 1/4 of the white of the oven is showing. That's about half a trench of a MFLB. I get about 10 hits. On the MFLB I would get about 8 good hits for a full trench. So that's about 20 hits I'm getting now from the Miqro for the same amount of material that I used in the MFLB and there's no lack of quality in the effects department.

You can resolve the battery issue by having a spare (charged) battery with your mIQro.

Yes, I have the extra battery from the explorer edition and a couple of more extras from Amazon. My point is that individual battery life is short.

Ok .... so I'm a month in with my Miqro and think I've got things sorted out

Im going with a little more than half filled nicely tamped material (pearl is three revolutions away from falling off) ... I do three smartpath 5 minute sessions through a night (Smart Paths 2, 3, and 4) giving the herb a lift and mix and shortening the pearl by one rrev after each session.

The biggest thing for me though was that i found myself pressing the flat moutpiece up against my lips and trying to pull way too hard ... it was restricting airflow, vapor production and material being sucked into the vapor path requiring more frequent cleaning. So I've now awitched to a concious effort to press those lips lghtly against the Miqro drawing air just as lightly, but steadily from and through the unit and into the mouth/lungs ...

After my three sessions i finish off the herb getting a hit or two off a DynaVap. I'm loving this little beauty and the nice weather is just setting in ... so psyched ... maybe a beach run next weekend ...

Anyone ever have an issue getting the battery to be recognized?
For about a week or two, no matter which of my 4 batteries (fully charged) I insert, it wouldn’t turn in. But then a few hours later it would work.
Now, for several days, I can’t get it to turn out.
I will reach out the @Davinci_vaporizer , but in meantime anyone have any theories/tips to fix? (I am especially looking at you @OF as the battery-troubleshooting-go-to-guy who often has a knowledge bomb at the ready).

Since the batteries are good, it might be the power management software of the device. It can't hurt to do a hard reset if possible, according to the manual:

While device is turned off,
press all 3 buttons and hold
for 10 seconds.
