Discontinued Ghost MV1

It will be nice to have options, as I'm sure there are quite a few of us feeling impatient waiting for Ghost to restock their own trays.

I haven't been keeping my finger on the pulse of the crucible dispensers anymore since I was able to purchase two of them from a fellow FC'er. Reading this post surprised me that they still are not available!?

Can anybody provide any update perhaps from that other site where ghost seems to post more regular updates?

Since I now have 12 crucibles and two dispensers, my MV1 has fallen comfortably into my regular rotation. It, along with my IQ and PAX 3 get me from sunup to sundown with quickness and stealth if preferred or relaxing for a nice sit down and chill session. It is absolutely great, but without the extra crucibles and dispensers I know I would still be very frustrated.

I have been on a few 3-5 day vacations since getting the dispensers and when surrounded by non-cannibis types, the MV1 and 11 preloaded crucibles allow me to duck out and medicate unnoticed without issue. It is also extremely low odor, the device itself and what it leaves behind on me. Absolutely great.

I'm very curious for an update as I am concerned for the company now at this point. Although I have everything I need for my MV1 setup, I am really pulling for Ghost to remain relevant. I really like them as a company and it seems they have plenty of innovation for whatever could come next.

@OhHello and all our other customers who have been inconvenienced by the lack of availability of crucibles lately - our sincere apologies. It's far from an ideal situation, including for us, and we have been working to rectify it - and if we've been vague it's only been because we haven't wanted to put a definite date on things before we knew one, and risk disappointing you further.

While I still don't have a 100% confirmed date for crucibles being back in stock but we are due to commence production very shortly indeed. While we won't be posting regular updates on our supply chain we will provide additional info as and when we can, and when they're back in stock all customers who have requested it will get an email notification advising they're ready to purchase.

Thanks

What do you store your MV1 and crucible dispensers in that doesn't smell, out of curiosity? I find them bare to be smelly, especially the dispensers as they're not air tight. The dispensers are invaluable regardless, but being air tight would be the icing on the cake.

I don't think that Ghost is necessarily in trouble because they still don't have stock of crucible dispensers even though it's been 5-6 weeks. If I had to guess as to why the long delay I would think they possibly changed manufactures, whether by choice or not, and could have run into quality control issues among other things. That's the unfortunate part of dealing with Chinese companies, they're business mentality is drastically different.

And I wonder if more issues will come about with China if there is a big trade war. I'm not an importer/exporter, but I imagine how certain things can upset the supply chain. Patience is needed.

I hope there is a "back in stock" sale. :)

Mighty vs Ghost MV1 Stealth ?

My mighty is near the end of its life, should i buy a replacement or get a stealth?
i bought the ghost because my mighty cracked a bit. the ghost, so far, is a piece of shit that i wouldn't give to my worst enemy.

get a mighty and be happy. get a ghost and get really fucking frustrated.

ask this forum one question. how many of you have had to deal with ghost customer service?

Is ghost mv1 really makes you feel like taking a draw with a vape+bubbler? the vapor feels colder?

great to hear! taking draws easily? is there a downside to this vape?
As far as draws ...yes you don't have to pull hard to get effects/vapor

IMO performance wise ....no, gets warm but what vape doesnt? First run issues which they deal with thru great CS!
Really like it all around and it hits like a out of control train!!!

I completely agree, if the dispensers themselves were airtight, that would be huge. When I'm not amongst non-cannabis types, I carry the MV1 and 1 full dispenser in just an IQ bag (it can still be faintly detected if the MV1 isn't properly cleaned). When I'm going places where I want to keep the scent concealed, I just put that same bag inside a small waterproof box that I have for when I float the rivers fishing for trout and what-not. You can buy any shape/size of waterproof box these days (and I have a grand assortment being the outdoorsy type) so I just pick/choose which one I want to use based on if I want to take the extra battery, spare vape, grinder, extra fresh buds, etc).

This past holiday weekend I went to a very small cabin in the woods in upper LP Michigan with my wife/kids and in-laws. I kept my MV1&dispenser in my IQ bag inside a waterproof box just big enough to fit it all in and I opened/closed it 8 times inside the cabin to grab my vape and step out on the porch for less than 3 minutes to come back in as the life of the party! :)

I've learned over the past 3 years to take an extra 35 min per week to have a vape cleaning session. Since then, my service calls have waned and my satisfaction has improved with all of my vapes. Keeps the smells down for sure, but I've come to appreciate the consistent efficiency that it seems to nurture. I'm always a little amazed until I realize how elementary it seems that keeping it clean is always going to guarantee the best results. I pay a pretty penny for these awesome devices, the least I can do is keep them clean, right?! :)

Anyone have issues with the vibration from the MV1 getting weak? When I first got it, the vibrations were strong enough that I didn't need to be actively monitoring the unit to tell it was warmed up, but it's gotten to the point now that I can barely feel it, even with a fully charged battery. Not a huge deal cause the lights on the front also help, but if I'm walking around outside on a sunny day, it's a little hard to see those too.

I've been using the MV1 pretty much daily since I got it back in November, so not sure if this is expected to happen with a ton of usage.
Following up: I think this was due to user error on my part! Noticed a few days after posting that my MV1 wasn't closing properly. I did a trial run with no crucible in and had no issues, so my best guess is I may have been over packing my crucibles and it was getting in the way of a clean close, or I didn't put the crucible lids on well enough and they interfered. I've been filling my crucibles less and minding the lids, haven't had the issue since

I'll have to pick up some waterproof bags for when I'm out on my kayak. I have a hard case but it's pretty small and I haven't come across bags. Thanks for the tip! I concur on keeping devices clean, like anything they just function better all around.

I had a chance to take Ghost's customer service for a spin these past few days. Long story short, after 60+ crucibles, 50 of which I took notes and pictures of, I figured there must be something other then user error on my part. I save my AVB so I wasn't overly concerned with "wasting" material and I'm a nerd so I actually enjoyed the process. The big issue was crucibles coming out with green on top in an outer ring. Ghost shipped me a replacement (as my latch was breaking as well) after I contacted them late on May 23 and I had the unit in hand on May 28. That's 3 business days for a replacement. Wow !

The new unit is running awesome! It can get very hot which is my first clue that the previous heater was acting up but I'm not going into temperature protection so I'm not worried. I can try stepping down the temp but I'm good for now. With my first unit I could take multiple draws and pop the crucible out and handle it fairly easily with some juggling. I'll burn my fingers if I don't let this one cool down.

Crucibles are roasting completely evenly now, not a spec of green after a session. I enjoyed the unit before but this is just insane how much better it's working now. It was good now it's spectacular. My draws are still incredibly smooth but pack more punch. I was laughing yesterday after a THC then CBD then THC session because I should have stopped to let the effects set in but I was enjoying it so much I ended up really medicated. Gotta love that low tolerance most days.

@ghostvapesofficial Your customer service is industry leading bar none. You have earned a lifetime customer and someone who will easily recommend your products. Virgil has been nothing short of amazing through the whole process and I'm very impressed by your entire team.

With the latch issues that occasionally pop up and seem to be related to the Stealth, I'm not at all concerned if I need to do another RMA.

Well that didn't end up short, lol.

Maybe a misunderstanding here SquirrelMaster, when I say IQ bag, I'm talking about the soft case that DaVinci makes for their IQ vaporizer. I own one of them and have a few of those soft cases and I use them for all 3 of my vapes when on the go. My favorite dry box is just the right size to be able to fit the IQ soft case (with vape and a few other items if I want). This also keeps the stuff inside the box nice and snug so it doesn't roll and bang around in there.

My brain mixed up waterproof box and IQ bag to make a waterproof bag ha ha. What waterproof box are you using?
