I ordered the minute their site came up on the 28th. My friend ordered a few hours later. We are both scheduled for delivery today

Dang. Did you get a shipping confirmation from them or PayPal? Glad you're getting yours today though!

Just to be clear, are you saying that the FF2 had all those improvements with the app update? Or are you comparing a new Plus vs. the old FF2?!
No those improvements are part of the new 2+ device. The app doesn't appear to have any improvements from what I can see. (Though imagine if they could fix the draw resistance just with an app update....what a wonderful world that would be....)
My firefly2 does not get used alot because of the battery issue. I guess I will upgrade if it is a available for awhile.
This appears to be definitively fixed with the Plus. I cannot reproduce the idle battery glitch no matter how hard I try.
...have a two also...i can count the number of times on my hands that I used it with flower...my use was exclusively concentrates..many folks had issues getting a draw out of it...interested to see what first adopters say..
It's much easier to draw and generate vapor with the Plus, in my experience. It doesn't fix some of the obvious endemic FF issues, like the need to stir frequently, but it's a lot easier to use and get vapor than the previous iteration.

Ok. This was my first time ever using a Firefly. I started on 340°. Two hits with insane flavor but no vapor. Then I kept creeping up 10°. I stirred after my 4th hit but it didn't need it. At 390° I got decent vapor production. I could definitely feel effects b4 getting visible vapor. I'm gonna wait a bit b4 vaping anymore. I'm a lightweight so I'm not sure what to expect from this thing.

You'll find that, as with most convection vapes, it takes a couple of warm hits to "prime" the weed. That's why you'll get a couple of very flavorful hits with little visible vapor. Once you get that material warmed up the vapor will start to flow. If you set it down and let it cool off, you'll find you have to prime the weed again with a couple hits before you start producing vapor. For me it's usually hit 3 where the golden yummies start to flow. :2c:

Ok. I got some very uneven ABV from my first bowl and some that is literally charred looking. The highest I turned it up was 390 so I'm wondering wth. I stirred that bowl 3 freaking times trying to see what was happening. Guess I'm gonna have to play with this thing to find the sweet spot. But it hits fine and some draw resistance is there but the Arizer Air is wayyyyy worse. I'm fine with it.

I will be getting mine soon and will post back. I’m excited for the changes! Better battery life and increased airflow are useful changes. I am also going to do the service upgrade to my FF2 so I can compare the two. My sister has always wanted one so this is a good excuse to upgrade. The flavor from the Firefly can’t be beat.

I go up to about 460 and haven’t combusted, even with a dense pack. I’m guessing at 390 you’re just getting normal charring/pyrolysis which is definitely common with convection. Stirring every few hits will help....the weed sitting right on top of the restrictor plate takes the bulk of the heat.

The FFs are just stir-intensive vapes.

Long time ff2, preorder even, and still in my mind flavor cant be beat. Never had a single issue and was able to get whatever I needed every time. Can’t wait for the ff2 + to be delivered tomorrow, not expecting a game changer, just a new flavor producer since my old girl is still amazing but has a slight linger of the smell that’s simply in the gaskets and anything else it has not been able to get out with cleanings. Mv1 is easier to pull on and works well also, but has never been this good with flavor. Same with Dynavap, no issues , just don’t love the torch. Ff2 is still my all time favorite, pax 3 is a popcorn maker in my mind from the first hit. Mine simply collects dust now

I got shipping confirmation today so a pretty quick turn around. Looking forward to seeing how this + compares to it's predecessors

New girl just showed up, on the charger, jet black is gooodddd lookinggg, haha. And just a dry pull is noticeably easier. Without any doubt easier and more free. Can’t attest to anything else yet

Was just on with customer service as I had a shipping issue.

Unrelated, it turns out extra batteries are back ordered. Just comes with the 1 in the unit. Fyi

That’s right, I forgot the FF2 came with two batteries. That counteracts about 30 bucks of the price reduction of the Plus (though it’s still 50 bucks net savings, which is pretty good for an improved device).

I noticed that it only comes with 1 vs 2. I assumed (and hoped) that meant it was fixed so good it only needs one. Lol.

Gave the new girl a try. Taste was amazing as usual. Pull was easier but not a massive difference, synced up with the app was quick and easy and one pull of about 15-20secs at 320 had a nice little visible vapor, not a cloud, but easily seen. I’m a flavor chaser and the mission was accomplished. No idea about battery yet but it did seem to take about 2 hours to fully charge. Longer than I normally wait for ff2. Have to say it felt and worked just as simple as the ff2, a little bit more free of a pull, but otherwise I didn’t notice anything but a little buzzing sound that is more audible than my ff2 when your holding the two buttons or taking a hit. Side by side, other than color and new emblem, tough to see any difference. Weight is pretty close as well. Feel identical and work almost identical to me except for a little bit easier pull.

That is good to hear, thanks for the update. Have the ff2, which i had enjoyed but it does take a little more work. I have read a lot of ppl like it for concentrates, but to me it seemed to touchy, e.g. hard to take out the pad, melt slow or bubbles etc. Was thinking of sending it in for the upgrades, but if no to much different think may leave as is.

No buzzing with mine. It's totally silent.
