Saionara Atomizer thread

Does anyone have experience using live resin badder in the Sai Or the Motar? It doesn't seem to vape very well in either and I don't know if it's my mod settings, type of Atomizer/coil or what?

Various online sources say it only works with a rig/torch on at least 500-600F. Other sources say no it only works best between 315-400F. What gives? This stuff is too expensive to waste but I really don't like high temp dabbing. Some consider 500-600F to be low temp bit I sure don't!
@OyVape
Hi, I was wondering what you thought of the Mortar? I've been thinking about buying one of those or the Quarta for a while now, but have been on the wall about it being that I didn't think much of the only other similar coil I used which was the Vivant Incendio. I love the idea of the healing elements being encapsulated in the sio2, but the incendio doesnt have adjustable airflow and the airholes on each side of the tank are huge, and more importantly to me, it doesn't work with TC.
Thanks.

@Jory K. I do love the Motar! Fun. Effective..cheap. Go on over to the Arcadia Longmada Motar thread and ask around there or just read cause this here is Saionara land...

@Oy ape.
Thanks man. I'll gonna have to order one. Do you have the bubbler attachment for it?
Also, I wondered if you can only use the glow coil that comes with it, or can you switch it out for any of the Mr. Bald III coils? Too bad I didn't see your reply earlier or I would have ordered one a little bit ago when I placed an order for a Greenlight Vapes g9 TC Port portable erig and another replacement recycler for my Cpenail that I broke today, again, for like the 6th time. Hahaha!

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
Wondering if @shredder or anyone else can comment on a comparison between the Sai donut and the Divine tribe donut?
I have a DT version 2 and was wondering if I might see a significant difference in any aspect, compared to the Sai.

I probably should add that while it is a quality product, I haven't taken to the DT. I tend to use a very small amount at any given time, maybe half a grain of rice and find that most of that gets lost under the donut and I really only get one good pull.

Maybe I'd be happier with a bucket?

I have never used DT vape so I can't compare. I did read a bit of the thread but chose a sai.

I can say I load huge loads and use the ceramic donut coils. I hit it pretty much all day. When the taste goes I switch coils. When I have a handful dirty I clean them.

It's my daily driver and I usually go through a coil a day, but up to four days using really clean rosin.

I am somewhat of a flavor snob so I do probably waste some, but I squeeze my own homegrown so for me it's no big thing.

I can't help you much on buckets, but there is a lot of info on this thread. They are popular.

With the DT2 the problem I had was the need to clean all the atty and kept me out of use it while soaking in iso... with the Cerum by Yocan I can switch coils when they are dirty and continue to use the vape!

The buckets issue is the need of q-tip... not ideal on the go but hits are definitively cleaner. No experience with the Sai but I have the QQ...

You go Mr. Goat man! (or lady) I'm not far behind you. :goat:

Did you get the Ti model? I'm trying to decide if the lighter weight is worth the extra 10 bucks.

I have a SS and a ti model on the same mods, and there's just a little difference. It's only noticed when you have them together to compare.

That's one reason I chose the sai over the DT. I use ceramic coils like the DT, but change coils pretty much daily. Cleaning a batch of dirty coil takes minutes.

Decidedly dudish over here!

Being based in the UK I didnt have a great deal of choice, I got a SS one though, for a decent price, with a quartz cup coil and a ti cup coil.

Have read through the last 10ish pages here in prep. Its seeming like the Ti cup is the best place to start rather than the quartz? Glad I have options either way!

Is everyone cleaning theirs every day? Or can it be left over night and cleaned before the next day's session?

Has anyone tried putting hemp fibre in the bucket ? I only ask because if I pack too low then my sauce will crawl up to the sides of the bucket and not really vape.

Thought maybe putting a little bed of hemp fibre might mitigate that but I figured I'd ask here first lol

I use a glass bead from a G43, works great.

My Sai has landed! it is currently having a nice ISO bath (minus the o rings) before i start on with my super scientific testing of the thing! Will try the Ti bucket first.

one quick question- the manual says 25 - 28 watts along with the other tcr stuff, but i have seen people here saying they are using 40w? im guessing the temp protect is stopping the coil getting too much heat? i don't want my atty to go POP before i can even try it out!

Edit:

So I have had a bit of a play about with great success, stuck to 28w and had a good time. Unfortunately my dna200 box kept kicking me out of temp mode, but it has been fine on my wismec r200s.

Only thing is, I have already got myself a bit of a black mark in my Ti bucket. Not sure if I have temp up too high, or if I just got greedy trying to get everything out of my Dab?

That's great, thank you!

I enjoyed my first evening with the sai, got varying results, but as far as first tries go it was good!

I wondered what coils come recommended for when out and about? The ease of use on the bucket coils is great, but if I was out doors i wouldn't want to be dealing with iso and cotton buds, so what do people use if they are going to be able to immediately clean out their coil after each load?

So, my Ti bucket and my quartz bucket have, functionally, the same resistance, 0.68 on the quartz, 0.72 on the Ti. Is that right? I keep seeing most people saying it should be around the 0.5 mark?

Had trouble vaping with the quartz last night, had to turn the temp on my mod up to the top possible to get to vaping temps. Anything obvious I am doing wrong? Or perhaps the coil is bad?

It takes some seconds to produce vapor. The heater has to heat the bucket and could take up to 10 seconds or so. Longer for quartz than ti due to the thermo qualities.

Using just the ceramic coils by themselves I get vapor in 3 seconds.

The resistance on my ceramic coils runs about 6.2-6.8.

Help people! I'm tech stupid.

I just picked up the pico75 plus TAF Sai with Ti bucket from PIU.

I was able to load AF on my pico mod. I really don't know how I did it, but somehow is uploaded Arctic Fox 180905

Now I have read the thread (some pages multiple times) and have read the NFE manual. I still can't understand how to set it to the TAF Sai profile I need.

I see 8 profiles. They are:
Profile 1 - vw .633 ohms, 20w, 5.6a
P2 - Nickel 0 ohms, 20w, 235C
P3 - Titanium .633ohms, 20w, 235C
P4 - SS 316, 0 ohms, 20w, 235C
P5 - TCR 105, 38w, 240C, 0 ohms
P6 - TCR 120, 0 ohms, 20w, 235C
P7 - vw, 0 ohms, 20w
P8 - vw, 0 ohms, 20w

I know I'm supposed to set it to TCR 315 , 40w, .68-.72 resistance, 400F, but can't figure it out. I thought the Sai TAF profile was supposed to be automatically set as profile 1. Thanks for any assistance.

I just need to get one profile set where it should be, so I can lock the son of a bitch and not ever fuck with it.

]I went to Nfeteam.org
Downloaded the NFE Tools and Arctic Fox from the home page.
I used window laptop if you have problem after you load the NFE TOOLs restart pc then try
Loaded right up the first time

Using the above Arctic Fox you have to set up your coils
But follow the link posted by @tennisguru1 the Arctic Fox firmware is already set up for the coils listed below

https://www.reddit.com/r/Waxpen/comments/98hlip/sai_seq_dtv3_and_triton_arctic_foxred_panda/

Profiles:
SAI TAF- For the Saionara Top Airflow Bucket. (adjusted +100°F at 380°F)

SAI 3TI - Saionara triple TI coils.

10MMDISC- 10mm Donut profile. Sai Donut and older Divine Tribe 10mm coil.

SEG TAF- For the Sequoia Top Airflow Bucket. (adjusted +100°F at 380°F)

13MMDISC- Seq Donut and newer 13mm Divine Tribe donut.

TRITONTI- Triton Titanium. set for the double ti relock the resistance at 68° for the sirous coil.

TRI 1701- Triton 1701 buckets. (adjusted +100°F at 380°F)

QQUEST- Quartz Quest

Usage:

Hold fire button - Fires Mod for up to 15 sec puffs

2 Clicks of Fire button- Select Profile

3 Clicks of Fire button- Edit Profile wattage and display (Press and hold both -/+ to reset counters in edit screen, tap fire button to change between options, hold fire to exit)

4 Clicks of Fire button- Key lock (Locks Temp useful while sharing)

5 Clicks of Fire button- Device Lock/UnLock (Power on if turned off)

Device will auto Lock after 15 min. (Child and Pocket safe)

Press and hold both -/+ to Power the Mod off (Not Needed IMHO as the 0.01 volt per day is not worth waiting 5 seconds for it to startup lol, but people ask for it... so) (5 clicks of fire button to turn back on)

While powered off Press and hold both -/+ to Flip screen.

Press and hold both -/Fire to turn on and off Steath Mode

Press and hold both +/Fire to access the Settings menu. (almost every option of the mod can be changed here.)

To get to TCR setting hold down fire + Plus for 3 sec
go to atty press fire
go to TCR set ect..

I've gone through the thread and had a little read.

So I kinda know what settings to use but I can't download arctic fox I have an Rx Gen 3. Am I going to get the same experience using the same settings but without the added benefit of the extras arctic fox gives me. I've got the ti bucket I'm a bit confused as I've got a sprinter z at the same time and Im trying to work that out too.

Good luck with that one man! I'm mean it! I don't know how all these guys manage to get theirs working so killer but I've got a Sequoia with both reg and taf caps and I can't get the buckets or the donut to work well and it's been over ;months now. I got so disguested with it I said screw it and ordered a G9 TC Port enail. You can adjust it anywhere between 300-800f and after warming up, which only takes about 20-30 sec depending on temp, it gives you a 45sec sesh. It's got an America designed clear and green glass recycler, comes with sic, Quartz, ceramic, and t2 nails, and is powered by a single 18650 amd works amazing. The only coils I've had any luck with from HVT are the triple ti w/ black ceramic wicks. I set the wattage at 33,'TC at360 and go up 15* each draw up to around 450. Oh, that's with a set resistance of .361 withbabstarti g setting of 440-450f you can fully vaporize almost 1/3G in one hit ifnyounwant to. Those coils WILL put you on your knees.
Good luck man.
