@Melting Pot makes me soo happy to know you are pumped for your new setup =) It went out this morning priority and should hit you before the weekend. Everything is in there, minus the one banger that 710 swords etched. So you will be up and dabbing once you unpack and set everything up.

More caps officially land tomorrow and will be up in the shop shortly after they arrive

Hope you are all having a great day

Your ever loyal coil and quartz monger

Tinypic is funny that way. What I've found to work is to take your picture and rotate it 90 degrees, save, rotate back 90 degrees and save again. Then upload the pic and it should have the proper orientation.

It's one of the several reasons that I much prefer postimage over tinypic.

:peace:
Thanks my man appreciate it. I'll try them out. The alternative. Im already confused.lol

Test run

As always @Stu your the man appreciate it

@710Coils Ordering my first e-nail setup with a RDK-300 and the 710Coils 25mm Axial coil and a 25mm Quartz 90deg banger.

I don't see any of the Opaque 14mm female bangers in stock, do you know when these will be available?

Should I just get clear banger instead, or is opaque that much better - as many recommend. Alternatively, should I just get a male-to-female quartz adaptor at a local headshop and get an Opaque 14mm Male?

Should I get pearls? Do they just go inside the banger?

edit #1: Also, inserts - what are they and why do I want?

edit #2: I'm antsy, I ordered! Order ID #2118. ;)

Cleaning the ring. So I didnt follow instructions closely, and I bought the simple green in a spray bottle which is not the concentrated version . Soaking on a coffee mug warmer would only do so much.

I did learn that the green dish scrubbers work like a charm though. I rolled up the end and stuck into the banger, then twisted it around while sliding it up and down under running hot tap water. Its spot less. And I cant imagine its abrasive enough to scratch quartz. But if any of you know better let me know. Next time Ill skip the 8+hours of soaking and just go right to the scrubber and hot water. Maybe the diluted simple green helped, maybe it didnt

@twoleftfeet You would be surprised how easy it is to scratch the surface. I would recommend torching before I would recommend using a scrub pad. Simple green has to be concentrate and the banger has to be submerged and allowed to soak in the warm simple green for at least 4 hours. It is the best way to completely get a banger clean without torching or turning the temp down and spraying in some Dark crystal =)

You lower your temp down to 250 and then spray/pour some dark crystal into the banger and let it work =)

So after a few months usage with 710 coil/25mm opaque banger and RDK300, I have settled into to a temp of 475F with just a bubble cap, no pearls/no insert.

I’m using a bb sized blob and q-tipping after one big rip.

I am wasting some product, but every rip is tasty. Also, the banger stays super clean.

I’m going to add baking soda as a non-abrasive alternative ... gets rid of any stubborn buildup in seconds and my bangers still look 100% brand new after many months of daily use.

(I’m using inserts though, but my process is the same for my inserts .... 99% iso and baking soda every day or two for any buildup)

Edit: to be clear I’m not using the ISO and baking soda together ... separate steps :)

Huh, ive always considered baking soda an abrasive. I had to stop using it on my teeth because of this. I might give it a shot though, or just keep using the scrubber and order another banger.

Cleaning Bangers
There are many ways to clean bangers. However, we suggest the following method as we have found it to be the least abusive ways possible and will keep your bangers looking like new!!!

For our method you will need four things:

  1. A Candle/Mug warmer
  2. A Glass jar or bowl that is deep enough to submerge the bangers in and also fits on top of the warmer easily.
  3. A loose lid to cover the bowl or jar so it doesn't evaporate while it's being heated
  4. Simple Green concentrate (you can get it from most hardware and home goods stores, but make sure it is the concentrate and not the pre-diluted mix)
Once you have all of the above you should place you bangers carefully into the dish, submerge them in Simple Green concentrate completely, then place the lid on the jar and the jar on the mug warmer. Turn on the mug warmer (if it has multiple settings use the lowest one). Now let your bangers “cook” for about 4 to 6 hours before removing them from the bath. After removing the bangers wash them out thoroughly in the sink and set to air dry. If the bangers still look dirty at all after this simply repeat the process.

Feel free to reuse the Simple Green concentrate for multiple cleanings. However, it is usually best to replace the Simple Green concentrate after about 6 to 8 cleanings.

The above is the least abrasive way to go and doesnt take much space up under the sink when not being used =)

It's a mild abrasive ... doesn't scratch my banger anyways :) (at least nothing that's shown up in 2.5 months of use ... so that means I've cleaned it with baking soda at least 30 times)

Finally pulled the trigger on a quartz pi. Its not the color I wanted, but it does function a lot better than the black bubble cap I bought elsewhere. The quartz pi has a smaller diameter tube to get the right amount of restriction. My other cap I often end up using my finger to close the top hole for more restriction.

Good job on the pairing Shane. I should have went for function instead of appearance from the start.

I assume when you use the baking soda you mix it with a little water to make a paste? Or are you just using it dry?

@710Coils do you plan on stocking 4mm or 5mm ruby pearls when you get the inserts? I’ve ordered from a seller I won’t name whose sent the wrong size pearls several times in a row and it reminded me why I always try to order from you when I can hahaha your customer service is unbeatable, anything you sell I will literally not buy anywhere else at this point.
