I Nothing more sad than seeing my F2 in its box ready to be sent in for service. :peace:

There are, no doubt, sadder things, but none come to mind right off. Time to switch to your backup vape and tough it out.

Hey, not having a backup vape when your F2 goes to the shop......that's sadder? A guy should always have a backup vape, like any mission critical piece of gear. Any vape can fail, be stolen or otherwise lost. And it's good insurance against a 'Murphy attack' when you can least afford one.

One thing, at least you know you will be looked after with your RMA, as for a portable the Fierce would sit well in any collection and worth consideration...lots of good choices around.

Amen to that. It could be a GrassHopper..... We differ a bit in backup vape theory, however. IMO it should be another reliable, fun to use, vape of a different sort. Maybe a MFLB or Solo? Both about the same price and great vapes according to their huge following here. Or VapMan, a personal favorite.

I have the utmost confidence that HR will handle this in a 5-Star manner, compared to another company which I won’t mention.

tough it out.

My Snap is my backup however the MP won’t stay on very well and slightly better than the Fury 2. My Hopper was my backup but that’s been in RMA since September (go figure). Indeed, I’m in a pickle and a vape behind where I should be. Both of these points are the sad part and I’m not upholding my vape badge very well. I’ll get there. Maybe I use my vapes too much? Indeed I’m still considering the Fierce - and I’ll decide in a day or two. To be continued...:peace:

You mean September of last year, like 8 months ago? Hardly a record, not even in contention yet? Some warranties should include a short form will......in case you die before they decide to send it back?

Hey, Solo I is an excellent vape (essentially zero problems reported), and can be had for very attractive prices these days. This is far from the best price in town (although a first class dealer, strong supporter of these Forums):

A Solo in reserve is peace of mind indeed.

Yes, it's been in RMA since September '19 and NO it's not a record. Nor do I care to own it however with my aforementioned luck and with the Hopper RMA, which was no fault of my own and suffered from two issues (heater and would not turn on which was the obvious final straw) contention is not out of the question.

The silver lining is the Snap works and the MP stays on albeit not tight and does pop off occasionally. And I have the the WPA - and a new rig! :) - and other HR glass to use HOWEVER I have no backup. Thanks for the suggestion - a bit big for my liking. I'll admit the Fierce, ArGo and Miqro are on my short list and all have been on it for a while now. We shall see, soon...:peace:

Monk Debate

The monks do be debatin’
Had a really nice session with the Fury 2 tonight. I ran it through water at 385 and then 400 using unground flower. Much better flavor and smoother vapor. I just tore off a piece and threw it in the bowl.

I also prefer unground flower in my Dynavap, might just be a preference for me.

Indeed I shipped my F2 back to HR today for a look-see. They're CS is awesome as always, what else can I say. I'm still mulling a second/backup (portable!) vape and weighing that amidst a current major discretionary but necessary (for me) expenditure. Lots to ponder :leaf:. To be continued...:peace:

So I have found the Fury 2 for £99 and a code for £10 off at the Herbalizestore.co.uk does this look like the best deal I'm going to get over in the UK?

Edit: Also, are the dosing caps a 'must have'?
Not sure about UK availability & pricing but I love my Furies. Dosing capsules aren’t imperative but they are great for on-the-go and different strains. I always have a few filled up, just in case but mostly use without them. Good luck! :peace:

@Megaton - As far as dosing capsules - I don't use them much but I have two people who I'm close to who love them for when they are out and about. To those two people they are a must have. They'll keep your unit cleaner.

I guess I don't use them because most of the time I'm using the vape at home.

I only use the dosing caps...and love 'em for the on-the-go convenience when I'm hiking, biking, skiing, out for a walk, etc. With the new POTV accessory mouthpiece, I find I'm also using my F2 more at home because I can use dosing caps while using the POTV waterpipe adapter with my bubbler.

so broke my WPA yesterday trying to get that last damn bit of black off the Tip!! Shit! ounces upon ounces of pure Cannabis have been put through sacramental release of its medical properties in that WPA... i literally have not used in other tyope of attatchment for a year and half by now LOL...
ordered a new one right away , I have a spare WPA that was one of the loose fit types that do not sit in there tightly but it works until new one arrives... always have a back up :) thanks @HealthyRips.com for being there

Sent in my balky F2 to HR last weekend and they received it today. I even got an email that they received it. A minute later I get another HR email stating that they’re replacing the whole thing under their 1 year warranty - and I bought a gently used one, glass package too which was discounted. Simply amazing customer service. Simply amazing device even with my recent troubles (power drain after 2 bars and the MP not staying on). Kudos and thank you @HealthyRips.com !:peace:

I almost got a Fierce but bought a spare Fury2 instead... now I will have two close to new Fury2 vapes Yay! bought a few extra WPA for it and will be good for a while... the Fierce clicks every button except for the huge bowl... Fierce is on the wish list of future vapes no doubt

I have two Furies too - a new F2 arriving tomorrow to replace the first one which was lightly used and purchased from HR, and Snap (Fury clone). However the Snap MP doesn’t always stay on and I bought the POTV accessory attachment thinking it might fit on the Snap but does not (it fit the first F2 until it developed the same MP issue, on top of a significant power drain after 50% - hence the RMA in which HR said a new one would be sent to me). I couldn’t think of anything better to have two of. Really.

I’ve also been mulling a Fierce - for quite some time even before its launch. Bigger chamber doesn’t bother me as there are ways to mitigate this and use less in it. The magnetic mechanism is likely better than the Fury mouthpiece method which I’ve had issues with but I’ll stand pat with my dual Furies for now. You can’t beat their size and performance especially for solo use. Another vape is not out of the question however it may be something other than HR for me, just to try something different.

TGIF & happy holiday weekend to all.:peace:

my only issue with Fury2 is Batt life... now with two fury vapes that should not ever be an issue. having a clean air path for the heated air and all glass vapor path for vapor is key with the fury and glass attachments.. using Fury2 exclusively now I feel like a vapor Snob turning up my nose to any plastic or other materials that the vapor goes through... unclean !!! those vapes need to clean up their act LOL

OMG, HR lied - I got my new F2 in 2 days instead of 3 and cross country too!! :D There's an extra standard MP too included - not sure if it was the original or a new extra but I'll hold on to it anyway. Simply amazing customer service! Lucky I was working from home today and just knocked off early too ahead of the long holiday weekend. Charging it up and then doing a few burnoffs. Can't wait! :peace:

a spare Fury2 instead.
All you need now is this;

My main problem with the F2 is the draw restriction (compared to a lot of my vapes).
The above and running 2 at once might help with that.

For the Fury 1 which is the most up to date procedure for curing the silicone on a brand new unit?

I was thinking to put the 3 silicone rings in toaster oven on a metal tray at 400F for 30 minutes?

Has anyone tried using a stove-top? I mean placing the 3 rings in a glass cup and then put that inside a pot with an inch of water and steam it on low for 30 minutes?

Or should I just burn some old abv in the chamber at highest vape temperature and blow with my mouth into the intake hole located at the bottom of the vape?

I’m not exactly sure what you mean by curing, but the toaster oven seems extreme.
I soaked mine in ISO for a few minutes. Then soapy hot water and it was ready to go. If there is still a “smell”, soaking in a bit of coconut oil usually does the trick.

My Tera had stinky silicon, I just left the silicon bits sit in the sun for a few days, just reminded me the silicon from my second Tera are still sitting outside (over a month now, should be smell free)
The F! had much stinkier silicon compared to the F2, I heard.
A low temperature in the oven, if you are in a hurry, will work too.

So far what i did with the new unit is to

1) Filled it 80% with ABV and ran it at max temp for 2 full 4 minute cycles and blew with my mouth air thru the bottom intake
2) Soaked mouthpiece and silicon blue ring in ISO for 5 minutes.
4) Wiped inner chamber and basket with a Q-tip of ISO
5) Washed mouthpiece and blue silicone screen with dish soap

I dont taste any plastic smell but I do taste a hint of that dish soap that wont go away even after rinsing the hell out of the mouthpiece.
