Ah, those were the days....... A truly primitive time, before cable, when you put an antenna on the roof if you wanted to watch any of the 2 or 3 stations 'on the air' in your area.

Recommended Solo to a friend the other day; he's using some sort of coil thing to take liquids and when he said he'd like something for dry herb I got my work vape out of the car and showed it to him - he was impressed.

I like the feel of glass stems, but not the way they break. I love my Blackwood stems from @Ed's TnT , but appreciate you like glass better. I do love glass myself, so I have no objection to it, other than the high breakage rate I had.
I agree a Blue SOLO looks nice. Mine is basic black, but I love it even if it's not blue. I did get a free Air with it, so I'm fine with it as it is.
Still, if I ever pick by color, I'll go with blue next time. I already have black.

Either one works. I have both Solo and Solo II. Even with the design changes, I can't say that one works better than the other. I do believe the Solo II will stand up to dropping it better. The base does not crack like the original. Solo II heats up faster, but sometimes the countdown and smiley face on Solo II bugs me.
