What’s the update on the “New” Silo? Was just looking for a link to send to a friend and I can’t find it anywhere on ID site. Not even Sneaky Pete site which apparently had them listed previously....

Probably a (prudent) move as reaction to several reports of the new silo scratching up people's vapcaps:huh:
Sucks, because they looked awesome. Hope it all gets sorted out, love ID's designs! Got the XL adaptor for my old silo. I'm officially back in love with it! Thought it had been retired by the stash I got this summer. Not so! My M-XL with a coil full of rosin plus a zippo style twoflamer is now THE daytime pocket setup:rockon:
A stash feels bulky as hell in comparison and way more conspicuous!

I just want to thank Tanner for unusually good and unusually generous customer service.

I wrote to Tanner with a warranty question, and even before he responded, I had a shipping notification from Interplanetary Development in my inbox. And this was less than 10 minutes after sending him my question!

I'm certain Tanner broke a number of basic laws of physics with his speed in resolving the issue. More accurately – he went above and beyond merely resolving it.

Tanner does business as business should be done.

Thank you Tanner!

Tanner is a man of his word. I've bought accessories from him in the past. The transactions were well executed, prompt and complete. So I've not had any issues in the past required customer service.

I am watching what is launched next. ID has a customer for life.

I haven't seen scratching of my Omni in the new Silo XL I have. Could it scratch the Ti? If so I'll stop using it. My only issue with it so far is that the cap has a habit of getting stuck in the silo when I take the Omni out, which is then hard to remove separately. Something to try to improve with the next model. I still love it, though, it's so sexy ;)

I believe so yes. I would stop using it.

I’m not quite what the best method would be to make the cap remove smoothly. Since the only thing holding the cap onto the vap cap is friction...

I've stopped using both of my ss silos because they were scratching my dynavaps ( metal burrs sticking out at bottom of threading not removed or smoothed). Just contacted ID. They have previously responded well to any issues. I see the ss are now off site. Should probably have contacted buyers in regards to possible issue in addition to removing item until quality control and manufacturing problem solved. Wish I had bought older models now. Hoping to exchange for black model. Order #id3368

I can say with complete confidence, don’t worry. You will be taken care of. I would not hesitate to buy ANYTHING from interplanetary. They have world class customer service.

Hey there,

I’ve seen your emails and I will reply to them tomorrow. I’ve been out of the office this weekend!

Not a problem!
All was good til I got the black silos that are rusted on the inside bottom and full of shavings and other unidentifiable crap.
ID cs was vouched for here but these are the worst example of quality control I have ever seen. If I could figure out how to post the pics here I would. They will be on IG , vaporasylum, and in an email to you. Nice try but someone dropped the ball here.

Thanks Tanner. I appreciate the way you handled the ss silo issue for me. More than one trusted member here commented on your CS and brother they weren't kidding.

Hey there, I've uploaded the image that I felt was the grossest and contained all the problems out of the photos you sent me:

I've replied to your email, and like I stated there; "Wow, those are ugly."

And like I also said, all of the original silos had their own issues with not receiving a proper interior anodization. (why we switched to stainless steel) and its been a very well known and addressed issue. AND these ones are exceptionally bad. As they should not be rusted or have loose metal in the bottom.

I'm very sorry that you've have received very defective items back to back. - You are correct, the QC on these are very bad. And I'm working on getting the issues with the silo fixed. (Which believe it or not is probably the most challenging product we currently have. Which I think is very interesting.)

Sorry you got a bad apple. Did you contact ID? My guess is that if you did, the problem was rectified and then some.

I can’t possibly imagine the point of posting pictures of the product that had an issue if the problem was already made right by the company.

We live in an imperfect world. It is how we deal with these imperfections that defines us as individuals, and as a company.

With all due respect @dab8 and @ID it was 3 bad stainless silos replaced by 2 supremely inferior old model silos. So zero for 5 . I did thank Tanner for trying because he was all over it. The pics serve as an example to unsuspecting customers what to look out for . I know I would not have bought if I knew there were issues. Pics usually come down fairly quickly. Not out to hurt someone's livelihood but really ...zero for 5 ? And they are so nasty.

I just checked and I have not received a new email that I haven't already replied to.

I'm really just not sure what else I can to do help you feel better about this situation.

I think that was referring to an old post,I don't know ...anyway
Thanks Tanner I appreciate your effort but we're good. I seem to have upset your fans so I will continue to try and round file the stainless Silo burrs to prevent further vape scratching and the aluminium silos are already in the trash where they belong.

Just want to chime in and say I’ve worked with Tanner on one tiny issue and he could not have been more helpful. Seriously amazing customer service, there are many in the industry that could learn from them.

To anyone worried from the photo above, I can’t speak to how they would handle that issue, but for me they went above and beyond.

@InterplanetaryTanner , I haven't had a VapCap but a few weeks, so I didn't know about Interplanetary Development. It sounds like you have exceptional customer service, and I look forward to placing an order in the near future. I put in a follow on IG, as well. I have a VapCap M, and a @phattpiggie stem. Will the larger Silo fit the Phatt Piggie do you suppose? Also needing a pollen press, but not sure if I can not hurt myself with a mallet. Sounds like fun, but I need to seriously think about that. The other press might be fine. Hate to give up on the mallet so fast, but I tend to flail.
@funkyhomer , my understanding is replacements were sent, customer still unhappy, so full refund given. I'm impressed with that. I haven't had the pleasure of ordering from Interplanetary Development, but it looks like Interplanetary Development and @InterplanetaryTanner did all they could to make it right. I'm impressed. Might be nice if information about the refund was posted along with the pictures, otherwise the wrong impression might be given. :2c:

I mentioned this in the past and don’t want to ever repeat complaints on this forum but I did not have the best customer experience with ID. I got one of those bad SILO v1 and ID never attempted to rectify the issue. All they said was that they did a poor job anodizing. You are not alone @Papi
