Discontinued Healthy Rips FIERCE

I was lucky enough to receive a new Fierce to test from @HealthyRips.com as well, after buying an early Fury2, super fast shipping in LA. I need more time with it, but I am extremely impressed so far. Had several bowls with glass bent stem and wpa so far, I honestly don't know why anyone would buy an Arizer portable any more (already felt like the fury stopped me from missing them for the most part, and now this really does) $189 is a steal for what you get, I love all the glass stems and how compact they are within the sleeve mp. Much like the Fury, flavor and power is strong! More to come...

Got my hands on the Fierce yesterday, thanks once again to HR. Unbelievable, made my day/week and went from fresno to east coast in 2 days. 3? Still plenty more testing to do, only been able to use it a bit here and there but so far so great! Been using bent stem and loving it. Need to really sit down with it tomorrow and will have a full on 'Dirty D Testing Lab' review to follow here shortly...:science: Cheers to HR and everyone! D.

Is this a beta test?

Sold my Mighty and bought a Fury 2 and a Fierce. My only regret is not having done this sooner.

It is not beta, this is the final product that is shipping now with updated firmware etc. I just meant that it was sent for me to test and review... I imagine it can slay the Mighty (and Crafty) too, but I still have not gotten to try that one myself

Ah, yes. Good stuff – but thinking that there was a Fierce II on the horizon was pretty fun for a minute or two . . .

. . . I honestly don't know why anyone would buy an Arizer portable any more . . .

I mostly agree. My Fierce replaced my Mighty and my Fury 2 replaced my ArGo – but I'm definitely hanging on to my Solo II.

I completely agree. My Fierce replaced my Mighty and my Fury 2 replaced my ArGo.

But I'm definitely hanging on to my Solo II.

But do the stems cause problems as they seem to with the Fury2?

What kind of problems? I never had any problems with stems in my Fury2, I pretty much exclusively use the glass bent stem... Here they're just larger like the Fierce, and they get sheathed to keep everything flush and portable (plus protect hands from hot glass) though you can use without the sheath mp too as I did with the wpa... If you mean how tight is the fit, these stems fit in the Fierce without heating it up first and can be removed cold as well... If that helps?

Yes! Glad to hear!!

Haven't had any problems with either unit – Fury 2 or Fierce – and I pretty much use the glass stems exclusively in both.

Good to hear!

I think what @Gardenerjeff might be asking is if the stems seat directly in the bowl like the Fury or above the bowl like the ONE?

I thought that perhaps @Gardenerjeff might be referring to someone's posting about leaving the stem in the oven of the Fury after it had cooled – that this could somehow cause damage to the oven.

I might have read this somewhere in the Fury thread – but I can't remember.

Here's one post about this:

Yes, they go into the bowl. It is not just a mouthpiece, it is the chamber as well, just like other stem-based vapes. I suppose with the sheath, you could have the chamber all the way up so that it would be like a mouthpiece above the bowl, but I don't know why anyone would want to do that... Then you wouldn't have a glass chamber, and there would be a big gap btwn bowl and stem screen... The standard mouthpiece is glass stem inside plastic with silicone and metal screen above bowl, so like Fury2 that is still available as an option for those who do not want to load glass stems and prefer to use the steel bowl as chamber (with or without the dosing capsules)

I also got one. Took about 15 burn-offs and several charges before i was willing to pack and use but now that i have i do really like this one. Fury 2 on steroids obviously which is not a bad thing. More to come. So far more impressed than i expected, could see this one as a regular member of the rotation. Love the USB C charging! Accessories such as the wpa curved stem in insert bowls really make for a nice overal package.

@John Coaltrain, we know that. To reiterate what I asked: Do the stems lay in the Fierce bowl like the Fury?

@Gardenerjeff mentioned "problems" – not how the stem lays in the bowl:

But do the stems cause problems as they seem to with the Fury2?

I though that perhaps @Gardenerjeff was wondering if leaving the stem in the Fierce after it cools will cause the same "problems" reported to have occurred with the Fury.

Hopefully @Gardenerjeff will chime in. @Shit Snacks had asked @Gardenerjeff to identify which "problems" he had in mind, but did not receive an answer.

Because there would be more room in the bowl for herb, just like the ONE in comparison to the Fury. That's all I wanted to know & you answered it, albeit long-winded, SS. :p Thank you.

Well obviously long-winded, what did you expect from me? I still don't know why someone would do that with the glass stem, instead of just using the standard mp for their larger load desires... I will say these stems do seem to hold quite a bit too. Maybe even more than Arizer stems, would need to compare, since these are narrower yet deeper. Oh, thick glass too

Nice to see you here with one too! Yes so many great accessories and features, forgot to mention the usbC charging quick and that it was nearly fully charged already upon arrival. Mine didn't seem to take that long to neutralize, and I am usually a stickler about that draining batts over and over to break it in before putting herb in. I will admit this time I was a bit impatient, but still have it several open empty sessions and iso swabbing. It will probably continue to break in, but it wasn't harmful strong negative scents like many other vapes can have in my experience. Oh and battery life is long!

Can you approximate your charge longevity? I'm beginning to wonder if my battery is running a little short.

Sneaky Pete reports "40 minutes" of battery life

https://www.sneakypetestore.com/products/healthy-rips-fury-2?variant=704752517126

Vaporizer Wizard reports "35–45"

https://www.vaporizerwizard.com/fury-2-vaporizer-review/

I would approximate mine lasts about 15 minutes tops.

Not yet, but yours certainly sounds defective! There are many variables, but I did at least 30min at 430F for burn offs and it wasn't even at half yet then. Now after all my bowls even it is not empty yet, so over 45min constant use I would guess off this unscientific initial useage

You too funny SS. Because I like stems better than the standard mp. :p ;)

John, the stem seated in the bowl is what causes the prob. with stem removal in the Fury besides reducing bowl size. I just wanted to know if the Fierce is the same.

SS, am I correct in thinking that the taste is on par with the Fury?

because i loved my fury 2 until battery died.

How long did the battery last?

Has anyone found a compatible glass stem? I mean I would like to have a stem with nipples like the ones available for the stempod, splinter to cool down the vapor....

For those who did initial burn-offs and noticed a taste/smell.....did you mouth pump with the mouthpiece/accessory attachment and/or blow into the bottom air path during the burn-offs?

I mention the act of pushing or pulling air through the unit during the burn-offs because convection devices like the Fierce aren't going to completely burn-off anything above the oven without moving the air up through the mouthpiece/accessory attachment.

IMO Some heat will work it's way up from the oven without pushing or pulling air like I described but your burn-offs will be way more effective and you won't get surprised by some residual smell/taste the first time you use it in earnest.

I didn't find any such problems, but I wash such stems and MPs and recommend it over not washing..... Like in the dishwasher, or even by hand. Just like the Pioneers did with theirs in those wagon trains on their way West.
