My v2 also doesn't hold the glass stems very tightly... they fall out of the splinter if I turn it upside down. I've actually already destroyed one of stock stems like that. I bought mine at Puffitup during the 420 sale.
Doesn't sound right. I would contact PIU. These stems should "lock" with the ground glass connection.

Also while I am at it, you should rock the stem loose as opposed to twist it out. Twisting causes more pressure on the glass. And NEVER put a cold stem in a warm Splinter. This could cause you problems as well.

Shout out to Scott, @VGOODIEZ.
Thanks, bud!
You are very welcome.

Same here. Bought V2 from PIU during 420 sale.. Both of the included stems do not fit tightly in the base and rock a little. If I were to turn unit upside down, I would worry the stem would fall out.

My blackwood V2 from Vgoodiez which came with two tinted stems as well as the xl8r all seem to fit great and hold tight enough to turn upside down. I'm not sure I would shake it to test how secure it is, but there are not rattles.

My V1+ and Milaana 1.5 both have loose fitting stems that wobble slightly. I'm sure they'd fall out if I turned them upside down.
There's no air passing through the wobbly gap though. This is verified by blocking the two air intake holes before attempting to draw air through the device.

Yeah if you flip it upside down, it can be normal for the stem to fall out, gravity is typically stronger than a ground glass connection... It is rarer for it to stay put securely, but some do. There is always variance with glass and how they fit

I recently bought a hydrotube for use with my vapes when a bong is not convenient- I was wondering if anyone had used one with their splinter? I'm just wondering if potentially the extra weight on the joint could cause it to crack?

I'm thinking of getting a splinter going to pair it with a wismec Rx duel but not sure what to buy..

I generally use either a cloud Evo or a dynavap so what's the best best splinter splinter z? I've not really done much reading is the splinter a harder hitter?.

Cheers

You can't go wrong. I have a custom Z, a V2 and a V1 and probably rate them in that order. If you vape several bowls in a session you'll probably enjoy the bigger heater on the Z, which is dreamy once it gets warmed up. The others get cooking a bit faster and are still great if the smaller size and lower price is appealing.

So basically just get the z lol..

Anywhere other then vapefiend I can get one in the EU and are the retail ones 2 air holes as I've not seen any four air hole versions available to buy.

Cheers

The draw resistance of the two hole Z is great and I'm still keen to get a ZV2 at some point.

Hello FC! Z-Team in the house! I have been gone a while. I had a great meet, brainstorm, sesh with Ryan a few weeks ago and I have been meaning to get back here. I have to say that the PHW is my new fave! I will get some pics up when I remember how! I also have a Z .

So, I'm now 3 weeks in with my Splinter V2 and am floored at how good this vape hits and tastes.
It took me a while to really get it dialed in but once I did, Wow! The taste is so profound with each hit. I haven't touched my other herb vapes since getting the Splinter to be honest.
The vape signature of this vape reminds me of my Stickbricks Hydomax, but I much prefer the Splinter.

A question for those who own both the Splinter and Splinter Z, is there much of a difference between the two?

Cheers!

Hello, I would like to know which stems are compatible with the Splinter V1+. What measures should they have?

I own a custom Splinter Z and a high flow Splinter with 4 holes. The high flow highly triggered my VAS, when this batch seemed to be sold out, but suddenly some units popped up at weedgadget.

To be honest, I didn't like it nearly as much as the Z and put it away after only 4 times of use. Last week I could grap a P80 for a great price and paired it with the Splinter. Quite slender, compared with a Z on the Paranormal.

At this time, my mostly used combo has been the Elite on a j-hook, paired with a Splinter water adapter from Vapefiend. As I wrote in the Elite thread, this adapter seems to be a little bit too short for the Elite. I thought, originally this adapter is for the Splinter, so let's give it a try. Wow! The higher airflow, what seems to be too much for vaping weed in the original RBT stem, is great for vaping hash via a j-hook. Perfect extraction, taste and effectiveness combined with easy, one handed using. Really happy I didn't put the high flow Splinter it in the classified :D

:bang: the glass on my custom hi flo splinter broke last night. It popped on me while spinning the mouth piece.

I have the Splinter V2 about two weeks now. First impressions are more than positive.

I use it only in wattage mode because I do not want operate in a mode which is not approved by the constructor. The stems are not moving whilst installed and not falling if upside down.

I bought a new box mod in order to have a 2battery one for more sessions. I think that my single battery one is doing the job pretty well. Maybe better than the new one.

Only concern is that the last days I combust. I do not change the wattage. I keep steady on 30 watts. Sometimes I step up to 35-38 for the finishing. I draw slowly and my draws last up to 20-22 seconds. But the combust happens during the draw where I taste the difference immediately.

It used to hit like a tank. Either I am used to my herbs or I do something wrong? Final thoughts are positive. On demand hitting is the best option such as Dynavap. Without the lighter. Same hard hitting both of them.

I just do not see the same vapor production as in the beginning. I have the same herbs and same grinding. Coarse grinde to fine. Mostly coarse. Fine grinding is nice but it is easier to combust as I noticed.

Any ideas or advice would be more than welcome. :)
