I thought it would be nice to see what all the the FC members specifically use to vaporize with and possibly the temperatures they vape at, to give new users of various products, an idea of what seems to workbest. I have been using the extreme for a while now and will stay under 200c or 392 degrees fahrenheit for personal use but will use it between 210-220c or 410-428 degrees fahrenheit for people that need to see thicker vapor.

Tough one to answer since most people here don't have a digital vaporizer. For my vaporfection, I vape at 312, with my heat gun 360. Most of the vapes I own have an analog controller on it, so instead of going off of the temp readout, I go off of taste and the way the ABV looks afterwords. I like to keep my yellowish/brown at the darkest. Other people go to full brown, it's all preference but I love clean tasting (non smoky) vapor best, so even though I have to take more draws, I don't mind one bit. So I vape at lower temps to answer your question.

keep in mind too that the temps for one vaporizer may be different than that of another vaporizer depending on where the temperature sensors are located and for example like the extreme who models have gone through several alterations it can even be different per similar models of the same vape.
Thats true, all models will vary. But products like the purple days and i inhale... dont they have a set temperature when you get them, do they tell you that?
I hear what your saying stonemonkey about the herb and it being light brown and yellowish, it concerns me when it gets very brown. I have even seem some pieces black in the extreme if you let it sit for a while, at a high temp.

I used to be really into only using digital vapes so that I could see what the temp was, then I realized, I just use the temp as a baseline and always adjust up and down accordingly depending on the strain. I find that your senses can tell you when it is getting too smoky and you can back it off a little. The good news is, regardless how dark your ABV is, it's still significantly healthier than smoking!
I own a PD and i-inhale. I think they are both set around 390 give or take 10 degrees either way. My PD runs on the hotter side, meaning that sometimes my vaped herb gets really brown. Usually I just take one hit from the PD so it doesn't get too dark. My i-inhale runs on the lower side, I have to take 20+ hits or so to finish a bowl. Undo

Yeah, I know it seems really low but anything higher and you get really smoky vapor out of that machine. I haven't met too many other people that have Vaporfections to trade notes with but I am certain that the temp readout is inaccurate. If I pumped it up to 385 or above, you get black ABV so after some trial and error, as strange as it sounds, 312 was the temp that worked best. I don't know where the temp sensor is located on that machine and sometimes I wonder how much it deviates from the 312. I kinda question how it works because with all my other machines, the first hit usually gives you nothing but the flavor, with the Vaporfection, you get super fat hits right away. I'm puzzled by this

i recently got an extreme about a month ago and i love it. ive been vapping at about 200c to 210c but lattely i have the feeling im doing something wrong?

temperatures are personal preference, those are perfectly fine temperatures to be vaporizing at, you can go a little lower and a little higher without doing anything wrong (the extreme is specifically biult to not combust no matter what, or at least youd have to be trying to combust)
the thing about lower or higher temperatures is that they deliver a different range of cannabinoids, lower temperatures tend to be higher in thc to other cannabinoids, higher temperatures pull the thcv, cbn, cbd, and cbg which have impact on how the thc effects you

It's really hard to tell actual temperatures with vaporizers..on my VaporWarez I like 'high noon' on the dial. 
Past 2 o clock and the bowl gets pretty tasteless but it will continue producing vapor till 3-4, where it gets near combustion, a state I rarely bring my buds to...

I bought an Extreme vtower from arizer, and I reckon it is the best option, considering quality and price. I vape at around 185/195 Celsius, and that is only because I don't want tho inhale the toxins produced over 200 Celsius....and I would not use it at 230 Celsius or more since it is about the same thing as smoking, init?

Hi, It s been a few months since the last post on this topic, but I d like to add something here. I have tested the PD and Volcano, not to mention another one...Anyway, my message here is to encourage FC members to post your tests here after using a K type thermometer (with a flexible probe), if we all measure the temperature at the same place, then we may be able to compare our datas . I suggest to test the temperature at the bottom of the filling chamber of your vaporizer, in other terms, place the probe of the thermometer where you usually put your herb and test it several times, then you will know the average temperature of your favorite settings. Don t trust the manuals.
I found out that except for the volcano, the reality is not always what is written in the manuals.
That is very interesting because after all, you may discover that your favorite temperature might be lower than you think.
My favorite temp on the volcano classic is 6.5. When I measure with my probe the inside of the filling chamber, I read between 180 and 195c . the thermostat stops the heater at 195c and starts again between 180/185c . the manual says that position 6 is 190 and 7 is 202c.
So according to the manual

That makes sense.

I feel the lower the better - I fully inderstand teh difference in the release of teh different chemicals etc... but Vap for medical (i.e I cannot smoke.) and this is reflected in the temp I use - when my friends come round theyr prefer a higher heat - so as the story goes and as most people have suggested it is down to personal preference

Lately I been running my current vape that I been using daily at 170C. Get great flavour and clouds. Not to mention the high is great at that temp.

I agree totally, being an armchair fossil hunter! My Supreme V3 stays around 170-180c. Great convection vape, the ABV looks light brown. The Errlectric has a much smaller heating element with rifled ports to make the herbs swirl in the bowl, so I turn that up to 780F for the same light brown ABV. My Launch Box makes the same colored ABV with specks of coal black from contact with the fine mesh heating screen.
Basically whenever possible (an ample supply of herb) I'm a flavor snob, but when supplies get tight the heat goes up! When I run out of fresh herb, the lightly vaped stuff is repurposed at a much higher heat.
