No need to wait for the click. If it feels like you've been heating long enough, take a hit and see how it vapes. You can always heat it for a few more seconds if needed. I prefer the cooler, more flavorful hits I get before the clicks anyway so I frequently try to stop heating just before the click or just as it happens. Second click is pushing it too far for me.

I generally get 2 heat up clicks but the first is very faint so it's easy to miss. I know I get one loud cool down click but I don't really pay much attention so I might get another.

This might be the best advice/theory so far. Disrespect the click. Put cotton batten in my ears and run it zen stylee like the Lotus, lol.

My project for next week.

I noticed the cap "stuck" on if I pushed it on too tightly so just slipping it on and not forcing it at all hoping this might be my issue.

If you’ve been trying to force it down you might have damaged it... :(

When you get a new cap it’s likely to be loose and fall off easily. If so you just squeeze the open end between your fingers a little until it starts to hold onto the tip when you slide it on.

Other than that you just slide it down gently until the tip touches the end of the cap and that’s it. Being slightly out of round should keep it on until you or a magnet pulls it off.

If it “stuck” because the sides were bent very slightly in (you shouldn’t even notice the bend except while you’re squeezing; don’t squeeze too hard) that’s normal, but if it stuck because you pressed the top of the cap hard into the tip, it may be damaged.

Even some experienced users miss cooldown clicks though (see @ohmygodimsohigh ’s Dynacoil video), so whether or not that’s the issue here make sure you’re always waiting for the cool down click. :)

Well i really liked my 2018m so ordered the xl omni. Ive been using it the last two days and i have to say that i am impressed.

So far my hits have been smoother but not as intense. Im still experimenting with my tourch and heat up but so far very happy

No joke, @ataxian. I understand it seems like sacrilege to mess with the M :o but the Ti tip is more than bling. It performs differently, and for some better. It is mostly a matter of which you get used to, but both steel and Ti have their place. On most of my VCs I am reducing bowl size with the scoring and that by itself would be enough to make it worthwhile. :leaf:

There's a voice I miss... :( But I still love to listen. Reminds me of Eva Cassidy, gone way too soon...

Anyway, have we learned anything about what may be different in the new Omni? Will it just be cosmetic or is there an engineering change? The only mechanical drawback I have heard complaints about has been the inability to completely close the air hole on the latest versions, but who knows what genius may be marinating in George's head. We can only guess...

I sent my 2019M back to vapefiend and got a shadow instead. works really well. i'm getting about 3 or 4 good rips off a bowl, heating it 3 or 4 times.
I left 2 messages on DV website asking if I could send a photo of the 2019M i suspected to be faulty and they haven't replied.
wish there was one with a little more herb capacity though!

I wish there were some black (Shadow) caps available. The cap that came with my original Shadow is kinda pushed in and there haven't been any replacements available. Not a big deal as it is still fine looking from the side, and it is my dress M after all... ;)

Same here. I really like mine too. My only disappointment is being unable to achieve good flavor hits with my IH. The Ti Tip seems to heat up too much and produces a toasty hit right away. With the torch, I get amazing flavor on the first couple of hits. Don’t have this problem using the M in my IH. Anyone else have the same issue?

Are you using a homemade or custom made IH?

Got a quick question. I got an Omnivap XL over the 4/19 sale and right after cleaning the vapcap and putting wax on it, I reattached it and the middle o-ring broke right away. It seems like the seal is still snug but I was wondering if its okay to keep using the titanium tip without the middle o-ring?
