I really like the smoke buddy junior. It's cheaper, smaller and does the same thing. Maybe there is a performance difference for smoke, but both models do equally well with vapor IMHO.

I also prefer the Junior. Recently I was talking about smoke buddies and my friend said the Junior sucks because it doesn’t last as long. He’s a smoker. My Junior is over two years old and still kicking. I’ve even used it when accidentally combusting with other vapes. The key is to leave the cap on when not using it. I’ve been a legal medical user for a while now so I don’t need to use the Smoke Buddy often but sometimes the extra discretion is nice...

As far as my E-Nano goes lately I’ve been using it with Girl Scout Cookies flowers for the most part. This strain requires a change from my usual temp of 6.614159 up to 6.714159. The color of the ABV at the end is the same as it usually is at the lower temps. It’s funny how that works with different strains.

As the immortal @ataxian has so eloquently stated, the nano is just the heater, the herb is the holy grail. But what a heater the nano is, it performs wonderfully. Peace to @ACE OF VAPE, @nadia_epic, @epic_arii, and everyone else out there in the nano nation. Much love!

Doing PINEAPPLE EXPRESS atm.
The NANO is easy and kine convenient 2 use?

@BabyFacedFinster I will probably start out with the junior then.

I've thought of filling up some old pipe with activated carbon beads or activaded-carbon-filters (like for joints) and then exhaling through that, we'll see.
One issue I have is that smell masking is also not great because I'm just replacing one smell with another, I'd need some kind of industrial odor neutralizer...but in a handheld civilian format :lol:

I recently was able to try some Grape Cookies, a mix of Girlscout Cookies and Grape Kush...those of you with dispensaries and bud-in-the-mail are so lucky! I never new it could taste so good, kind of felt like different flavors are very subjective, but it actually tasted like grapes...:whoa:

My 4/20 order is already in the country...holy shnikies! That means if the people at customs are cool I might even get it this week!

You probably explained this much earlier in this thread, but is 6.614159 the dial setting on your enano cord. Or are you reporting wattage as given by, say, a smart plug? I have no idea how you could control either to a tenth of a unit.

Sounds like you got a bad one, I bought extra collars to retro fit my earlier Nano stems and stems from some other vapes. Nome of those stems ever suffered a meltdown, softened or failed in any visible way. Specifically with the new Ice Stems I ran the gauntlet from bare to totally sleeved and too low to way too hot to see what would happen with performance and no silicone problems. Have you contacted EpicVape? They are the experts and really need to know about such problems.

The protector on my ice stem was stuck to the stem when I received it, as well. It tore when I tried getting it off so I just tossed one of my extras on it. None of my previous ones have never arrived stuck or gotten stuck.

I never remove the silicone protectors - I clean the stems with them on. Why would you remove them? I use 95% iso to clean and have had the same stem with the old silicone sleeve for over 3 years, cleaning them every couple of days with absolutely no damage to the silicone. I also leave the metal basket in.

I take out the metal screens as well.

I guess it's just the way I do things.

Then again I don't clean stems nearly as often as you.

I find the taste starts going off due to resin build up after a couple of loads. And if you never let the stem get too gunked up, it takes no time to clean.The way I clean the stem takes, literally, 30 seconds, so why not clean it often and have a fresh stem nearly all the time. Plus I keep a couple of extra clean stems for guests that I clean after each use. Maybe a little OCD, but I like my glassware sparkling.

I started out using the sleeve the stem came in to clean it as Epicvape recommends, but the sleeve starting splitting after about 6 months.

Now I use a jar with about 1/2 cup of alcohol in it, just tall enough for the stem. I put the stem in, screw the lid on, hold the jar on its side so the whole stem is covered, give it a few gentle shakes, take it out, rinse the stem with water, blow out the excess water and its ready to go. I reuse the alcohol - the same 1/2 cup has been in the jar for at least a year. I could probably evaporate it and smoke the residue.

Have U tried da GAUVA COOKIES from da COOKIE BROTHERS from MEDCINO, CALIFORNIA?

I vaped 10 grams in my NANO!

NICE STRAIN if you can get it?

I love the idea of connecting the nano to a smart plug. I picked one up when they were selling them for 5 bucks, but the damn thing doesn't sync and I waited too long to return it. If I ever get it working that is the first thing I'm gonna try it on.

I love having my enano on a smart plug. I mostly just use it as a timer to turn it on when I'm likely to use it it and off after I go to bed, on a schedule. But it's MUCH more convenient than a simple timer as it is very easy to set up schedules and I can turn it back on or off via my smartphone. So if I'm heading home and know I want to use it, I'll just toggle it on and it will be warmed up by the time I get home. Or if I'm on vacation I can remotely turn it off.

I actually got a clutch of smart plugs as they were surprisingly cheap and take up less room at a plug than old-school timers - mostly to turn on my espresso machine so it is warmed up when I get up in the morning - they can handle 15 amps!

But it is also fun to look at the energy usage and statistics the plugs gather. I discovered that at a dial setting of 6.5, where I leave my enano, it uses about 9 watts.

Update on Enano Ice Stem - I ground a little coarser and all the problems I reported - too tight of an airflow and getting flecks of herb - went away. It has a slightly tighter air flow than the regular stems but that doesn't bother me. The vapor is definitely cooled down and makes a more pleasant vape. I just cleaned the stem without any problems.
