Discontinued Healthy Rips FIERCE

Vaporific

All who wander are not lost...
I live in Vietnam so sending unit to the US for repair isnt much of an option unfortunately.
Where did you purchase it from if not HR in the US? If you purchased it directly from HR I would think it shouldn’t be too difficult to send it in if necessary unless there are tighter restrictions with sending things out than receiving them over there.:peace:

The fierce are larger, the glass will sit on top of the capsule if you use it. With the F2 capsules, they actually fit inside the glass stem, it's a nice micro dose option.

Kudos @MonkeyTime Got the fierce last week. Got the fierce dosing caps but the stem sits on top, saw your comment. Love how I can use such to my amounts now. 2 x 8 minute sessions really light short draws. Just what I wanted this for.

Can you consider a light draw to be sipping like you could do with using a mighty, crafty or cfx?

How small amounts do you use?

Yes - I use a Mighty in a similar way.

The 2x8 minute sessions were started at 345f bumped up to 375/380 and then finished around 410 (I don't like going above that as a personal preference but have used fierce at 430 at times and it's good.

For me the fierce isn't as free air flow wise as the mighty- more restricted BUT if I pull so light that I don't make the vape 'whistle' through the air intake (as light as possible) I get an enjoyable experience.

I'm basically using flecks. Probably half filling one of the smaller pods? I read that they hold 0.05g so I would say less than that. Used a coarse grind.

The pods fit inside the glass stem - they get stuck so I'm keeping a paper clip around to poke them out. I'm guessing the glass might add a little conduction? I'm not fussed.

Watched Deadpool 2, had those two sessions and had a MV1 crucible too. Good chill after a long day.

I wanted the fierce to take some strain off my mighty. I think the mighty still wins for me but what I'm sacrificing on airflow is being replaced with functionality. Love the glass stem - the glass easy flow on the mighty is good but it falls out easily. Replaceable battery.

The flavour is a little underwhelming BUT I'm comparing this to the MV1 which just blows me away.

All my AVB with the fierce is evenly roasted and consistent.

Question for @HealthyRips.com -

Is there a bent glass mouthpiece available without the permanent internal glass screen?

Since I only use the Fierce dosing caps, the internal glass screen isn't needed and makes it so much harder to clean. Is there a 3rd party option? Would HR consider offering this? Seems like it would be easier (and cheaper) than the current glass MP.

TIA!

Interesting idea, although I think the volume of such a specialized stem would be small?

One solution might be to got to Ed, of TNT fame, and have him make you one without the screen or retainer, although that doesn't address the cleaning issue very well.

Perhaps a different cleaning technique? If you have a dishwasher, use a short piece of Silicone tube to attach a small funnel to the long end stand it in the silverware tray with the forks and such. 20 minutes flushing it with hot detergent (that would ordinarily 'scrub' the nasty pots and pans clean.....) does a 'prefect' job with no further effort from you. This is what I do with such stems across a lot of vape models. I even put a couple of small hooks on mine so I can hang it from the shield on the upper spray arm if it's awkward otherwise. Like when I do small bubblers that don't fit the tray.

If you have no DW handy, don't race out and buy one just for this. We have another way. Before I stumbled on the DW idea I would wash stems in plastic containers by hand. For straight ones I'd use 'travel tubes':
http://www.planetvape.ca/travel-tube.html

These are actually the 'blanks' they blow 2 liter soda bottles from, you can get them lots of places including Amazon. Sometimes called 'baby test tubes' which makes no sense to me as they're bigger than most.....

Bent stems went into one of the round bottles catsup and other condiments are found on dinner tables everywhere:
https://www.amazon.com/Condiment-16...6&s=gateway&sprefix=condiment+,aps,496&sr=8-3

Don't use glass, avoid 'glass on glass' contact if you want to avoid accidents. This is experience talking......

Anyway, a few minutes soak in hot water and detergent with occasional agitation to get fresh solution inside the stem. I'd half fill the container then invert it typically. No real need to shake. Dish detergent, or better still dishwasher, will work, but PBW is hands down the call:
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/pbw-the-chemistry-of-clean.7854/

Amazing stuff, really, 'invented' for Coors to clean fouled brewery gear (basically the problem we have). Home brew shops carry it, as does Amazon. A tiny bit goes a long way, a pound jar last years even if you give some to all your friends. Does a great job recovering that bong you've got from your blazing days. You know, the one you never show anyone? Put a bit in it, fill it with the hottest tap water you can and watch the fun. "Oxygen action" bubbles work their way under the junk and it floats away before your eyes.

Anyway, I think rethinking cleaning (in favor of washing in detergent) is worth doing and will get the results you want much sooner?

I’m considering getting the Fierce, especially with the 420 sale. I will be using it primarily with the glass stem for flowers mixed with hash. I’m just curious if it would be an ‘upgrade’ from my current vapes. For portables I currently have a Solo II, an air and a Haze V3. I primarily use the Solo II when out as I feel the performance is lacking in the other two.
With the Solo II I get some nice sessions with hash bowls, but would like less draw resistance and bigger clouds. I would also prefer a larger bowl than the Solo provides. Any info on Fierce performance with hash is appreciated.

I'd like to know if there is a way to know if a shop(namaste specifically) carries the updated version @HealthyRips.com ,thanks!
Also if @VapoShop is going to have it anytime soon.

This has been brought up before, I think the answer is you have to ask them. HR has done all they can (shipping new versions, updating older ones) but cannot control what Dealers are doing?

I think you should as VS.

Had my new Fierce for about a week..and here are my impressions for anyone thinking of buying one....

1 - Full extraction at 375 - it's actually a "heavy hitter", which my wife likes.
2 - LOVE the bent glass - very ergonomic
3 - Fast heat up
4 - Unit feels great in the hand - very solid - love the soft outer material
5 - Great taste extraction - very smooth, cool, and effortless hits
6 - ABV is very uniform (using pods) and complete
7 - Filling, cleaning of pods is very easy
8 - Cleaning - what's there to clean? If you use the pods, it's just the pod tops and end of glass piece
9 - Finally, an adjustable timer!! I need the full 8 mins
10 - Excellent battery life, quick recharging w/ USB-C (which is also built-in), and the battery is replaceable

It is now my hands-down favorite vape. Easy to use, great extraction, easy to clean - my 3 biggies

One pod easily shareable with 2-3 others.

This vape definitely deserves more attention - it is a real keeper!
Thank you so much for your review :).

I don't have a Fierce, but based on my experience with the Fury, which is a solid vaporizer, along with witnessing the do-what-it-takes-to-get-it-right ethic of HR that is documented in this thread, looks to me like a steal. Great price for a reliable, durable heavy hitter. :2c:

First time posting to say I purchased a Healthy Rips Fierce as my first electronic vaporizer.

I purchased it directly from Healthy Rips during the 4/20 sale; I purchased the extra glass piece bundle and requested the larger glass pieces which they very kindly provided. They had very fast shipping.

While the only other vaporizer I have to compare it to are the Dynavap series it suits my needs just fine.

I purchased it to share with others the Dynavap isn't the easiest method to split a bowl with friends. The Fierce does a great job and the curved glass mouthpiece is fantastic. I can't really compare the vapor to other portables but it is enjoyable. The fierce does get a bit warmer to hold than I expected (not unpleasant just warm) but it also works as a portable hand warmer.

I now have the Dynavap for single use and the Fierce to share; I am enjoying switching over to vaping never gotten more medicated and I'm not inhaling smoke thanks to the people here sharing their experiences.

Thanks Healthy Rips and thanks to this forum.

Giant vaping kudos to Mike (@Ratchett ) from Delta 3d Studios (http://www.delta3dstudios.com/) for making his new Fierce loader! The loader for the Fury2 looked so nice, I asked Mike to make the same thing for the wondrous Fierce. I've been using it since the weekend, and I love it. I have fat clumsy fingers, so working with the little capsules has been very time consuming - the loader makes it super easy and much faster.

Here is a quick pic I made of the process (I used some abv to illustrate):

He already has them for sale on his website here:

Thanks again Mike!

My wife said she loves the Fierce - cool, consistent, nice clouds - but she felt the glass mouthpiece was too fat and didn't feel good against her lips. So I did a minor mod for her using an old NO2 mouthpiece.

Here's the NO2 mouth piece - nothing more than some flexible plastic (food grade) tubing (it measure 3/8" outer dimensions) and a plastic tip. Just cut the tube down to size, and inserted it directly into the bent glass tube -

Anyone notice screen burn-in/memory on the Fierce when you power up/down with the HR logo? You can see the oven temp in the HR logo. Doesn't affect anything but over time the screen might get worse.

Love my Fierce btw... So much so I bought another during 420. Now I can send in my daily driver for an update. I've got 5 batteries and all the glass, love this thing.

My Fierce arrived today, and I soaked the mouthpiece in soapy water to prepare it for use – but now it seems to have some water remaining inside it.

It does not appear that the Fierce mouthpiece can be taken apart. Has anybody managed to take theirs apart?

I found some helpful instructions online for disassembling the Fury 2 mouthpiece for cleaning purposes - and I'm hoping there's a way into the Fierce piece as well.

Not to worry, shake out what you can and vape on. Remaining water will magically disappear as you enjoy......

There's even more water to 'vape away' in the herb.....it'll help chase the leftover rinse away. Water is our friend.

Hi, Namaste UK has sent their FIERCE units to us, we have updated the firmware and they now have the updated FIERCE units back in their hands. All other FIERCE units have been updated since February 20th, 2019. We are happy to announce that all FIERCE units on the planet have been updated with the latest and greatest firmware, with the exception of our clients that have been perfectly happy with their non-updated FIERCE devices.

Also, our FIERCE sold so well at $189 during our 4/20 sale, we have decided to keep them at that price going forward. We have also lowered the price on all of our FIERCE bundles correspondingly. Buy with confidence :).

Have an amazing week everyone!
