Boundless Tera

How's the airflow? Can the screen on that mouthpiece be replaced?
I could have sworn I saw that the screen can be replaced with a ss 5/8 mesh screen. The ariflow is pretty good. The amount of vapor I get is a little overwhelming however. That's a good problem to have for me. I'm still going to get one of the Arizer stems.

@phattpiggie can make you a custom mouthpiece complete with condenser for easy cleaning, I am in the process of getting one from him...if I can ever make my mind up on what I want.
Send him a PM if you are interested.
Sounds interesting. Might check it out. Thanks for the info.

Do you have a pic? I was thinking of the same but haven't seen any pics.

Seconded

On another note, how would you guys suggest I hit my Tera?

Should I prime it with a few small puffs then take a hit each time I take a hit?

Or should I take a few small puffs to get the heater going, then take my hits (about 5 or 6) as normal?

Or should I take my hits a normal from the beginning?

This is my first convection vape so I'm going through a learning curve.

A lot of people like to take a few puffs if their bowl's load is cold to get it heat soaked a bit before they start drawing, I tend to take long draws and I don't find it necessary, but whichever you prefer you shouldn't need to take small puffs every time you want to hit.

What is a long draw to you? Ten seconds or longer?

Yeah. If I'm going through water I like to take big 20-30 second draws with my tera, I'll suck the chamber dry of all it's vapor without needing a second session taking hits like that. The tera is great for keeping up on those kinds of hits for me.
How many hits do you end up taking? Like 5?

This thing produces so much vapor at times sometimes I can't go past 15 seconds if I use my Xmax v2 Pro glass mouthpiece. I'm going to try the Arizer long glass stem.

None of the Tera stems, @phattpiggie is waiting on me to give him an idea of what I wanted. I almost settled on Glow in the Dark acrylic(I think) and blackwood but then saw his latest abalone and blackwood dynavap stems and now I am rethinking what I want again.
I know he has worked out a S/S 8mm ID condenser and bowl cap from a sample Tera unit Eric sent him for prototyping.
So far my custom stem will be the same length as the Tera itself, that is the only thing I am sure of at this stage.

Damn his mods sound cool as hell. Have you decided which one you want?

This thing hits so well. At 374 on my Xmax V2 Pro, I barely feel anything. At 374-383, I feel high with the Tera. I needed 392 or even higher on my Xmax V2 pro to feel a buzz. If the strain was too high in CBD/THCV or any other THC inhibiting agents, temperatures above 392 would kill my high on the Xmax V2 Pro. Now I can avoid that with the Tera. I find myself enjoying lower temperatures again!

When charging, does the indicator on the display ever stop flashing and show a solid white battery icon? I charged my Tera for a good 3 hours and finally removed the charging cord. The battery icon on the display that shows up when I press the temp button is solid but while it was charging the indicator was still flashing. Just wondering...

The whole screen should go blank once the batteries are fully charged. The onboard charger is not the quickest but should make your batteries last quite a while as they do not charge to as high a voltage as my Nitecore charger. I get a slightly longer battery run from charging externally but the batteries overall lifespan may be a bit shorter.

Thanks, that was exactly the answer - guess I didn't wait long enough on the first charge. Might pick up a charger at some point but for right now my laptop gets the job done - it's on 16 hours a day anyway so might as well be charging batteries...

Your laptop USB would be the slowest option for charging, a simple wallwart 2.4amp USB power supply would be your cheapest upgrade and be up to 4x faster to charge, but a separate charger is always handy, especially when/if you get a spare set of batteries.
For up to 2x batteries at once;
I have used/owned Xtar and Nitecore chargers and would recommend the Nitecore SC4 or UM2

Could have sworn instruction manual warns against using other USB chargers other than the one Boundless provides.

Also finally got my Arizer stem. The thing is huge compared to my Xmax V2 Pro glass stem. The stem is as tall or taller than the Tera itself. Can't wait to test it out later today.

I have never used the charger that came with my unit, I just use the 2.4 USB wallwart I use for all my USB rechargeable devices or my 12v accessory plug that provides USB power(5v) as well.

If it hasn't been a problem for you then maybe the warning by Boundless was just precaution due to fire hazard concerns?

Started using the arizer stem mod, never using the stock piece mods again. I can take as big of a hit as I want and it the vape is a lot cooler and smooth compared to the stock pieces or the v2 pro glass mouthpiece. Well maybe I'll use them if I'm on the go.

13x sesh at full power for standard batteries and 16x sesh at full power with VTC6 and LG HG2 batteries from memory, I posted it back in the thread somewhere.

Okay after using this thing for a couple of days here are my thoughts.

The high is extremely clear compared to my Xmax V2 Pro. The high from my Tera is more clean but more intense

Like my V2 Pro, I experience a lag effect. What I mean is, the high doesn't really set in until 15-30 minutes later. I will take 5 hits, but not be immediately smacked in the face. However, 15-30 minutes later, I get smacked in the face, especially at the highest temperatures (410+ is intense after only 5 hits, 392 sometimes after 5 hits but 10+ hits then yeah).

Is the high supposed to be this clean or is the strain that I have? I have had about 2 different strains in the past week. I never used a convection vape before.

I would say it is the strain as I can get slapped in the face pretty hard while still pulling (too much of a pig sometimes) but the flavour is clean as you say compared to conduction based vapes.
