I figured I'd sign up for the subscription for 6 mo. I like having extras, and I can save a few bucks.
Unfortunately, for me at least, shipping costs ruined my plan. I hope other shipping options are going to be added
I just feel $14.62, to ship an atomizer, is too much. I'm in Pennsylvania not Panama.

thanks for the reply, I’ll check when i get home, but I don’t think it was set to C. The time and temp defaults it goes to are the initials I set for flower, 3:00 and 500 degrees, and I can’t seem to switch out of that mode.

What happened to the great customer service..It went from great service to now no one returns my email. The bucket overflows putting the smallest amount in. Then the bucket got stuck to the ceramic and pulled all the wires out so now the Carta is useless.. The first unit was broken and you sent me a new one,thats was great..Now wish I could get a replacement atomizer..At least email me back and say NO that I have to spend another $30..

@FocusV, the 2 glass pieces I'm attracted to are the Helix & that recycler with the spout/stem mp (pic below). I wish you would get around to demo'ing it. And not fond of the pink Helix shown in your story. Would like a greyish baby blue - if you're asking. :D

The app is on my phone and connects to my Carta, but it seems like it's stuck in herb mode, the temp is maxed at 500. The settings seems to mirror the flower settings, I can't get the app to switch to concentrate mode. Do you know how to get the temp to go higher than 500. Thanks in advance

If it is showing in dry herb only then we can try another atomizer to see if that does the trick. the switch is in the base of the wax atomizer making a connection to a ring in the top of the threading. this allows the body to adjust the temps accordingly.

What iv noticed is a handful of people who's atomizers do not seem broken but also don't seem to be getting to full temp just aren't fully threaded down. so what i do is press hard on the bottom brass pin and then make sure i thread the atomizer on finger tight. try to activate the unit and see if it gives you either the flashing lights indicating you need to thread it on a little more or if it activates then try to thread it down a little tighter that should get it to switch modes on the body and the app. and in theory that should be all that is wrong with the atomizers that seem to just not heat up fully. (either that and the combination of cleaning the threading path too.)

Sorry about that I think the subscription plan basically charges you shipping for the 6 months on the first order since it only charges shipping the first time for the full subscription period.

A few updates.

1. We are still working on the ever last and making great progress actually! should have more to show on this with in a month.

2. I am planning to add a 4 pack of ceramic heaters to the full carta kits. this will essentially give you 5 atomizers total.

3. I will be adding a 2 pack of ceramic heaters to the atomizer kits as well.

(both of those updates will take effect in the coming month. Not immediately )

Filled out the warranty for my atomizer not getting hot about a week and a half ago but didn’t hear back(been busy and almost forgot). Yesterday a brand new complete unit showed up! Was just expecting a new atomizer. Atomizer that came with it is different, instead of the ti bucket being held in place by those prongs around the heater, the bucket has a little rim around the bottom and fits over the heater and the prongs are gone. Haven’t tried it yet or looked at the quartz bucket to see if it’s different as well. Not sure if there is anything different with the unit itself, looks the same. @FocusV, thanks! What do I do with the old unit, no instructions came with the new one.

Wow, that's wild. I did the same thing recently and haven't heard back from them yet either. I made sure to stress that nothing was wrong with my base and only my atomizers burnt out. I hope they aren't just sending me a new base.

It doesn’t rattle around anymore either. When you screw the lid on it makes slight contact now and keeps everything tight.

That's alot for shipping. $7 at most. I'm 45 min n/w of philly and if your local could help you out.

That's different from the atomizer I received yesterday from Focus V.

And can you clarify why @started@52's atomizer innards & the ti rimmed bottom are designed differently? Another revision so soon?

And, lastly, I posted the wrong pic link above. :doh: Here's the one whose function I want to see clearly in action in a stream. You know how I kept saying I wanted a bent spout mouthpiece. :nod:It's called the OJ Glass Recycler by thedablab on IG. (*What a name. My 1st thought isn't orange, but it is juice. :disgust:)

All the talks about the new atomizer if anyone wants to see it he demoed it on the Instagram live today he shows it in the first minute of the video

I also received that atomizer with my replacement unit. Have to line it up with the top and screw on upside down since there is no little holders down by the ceramic anymore. Seems to be working well

When I try to install the app on my android phone it just says "There was a problem parsing the package" Is this normal? Is the working version out soon?

Also, how do I get one of those atomizers without the holders under the cup? I liked being able to clean around the heater in my beta version but the atomizers you sent with the production unit have those teeth at the bottom that make it difficult. I'd love that newer model I see posted above!

In regards to the planned "atty subscription":

This is a predatory business practice, using a beta product’s shortcomings to make the company money.

I’m open to solutions from Focus, but at the bare minimum, you owe your customers a great deal for all the failed atomizers.

Not to mention you lied on a livestream claiming the beta app works on Android. It doesn't.

The android app does work, the issue is there is 1000 different phones all with different android os they have been open with both apps still being in beta. So if it doesn't work on ur phone try a different android phone because it doesnt work on my phone but it works on my old phone.

I got a few dabs from my unit last night, one this morning, a crappy one a few minutes ago and now the lights on the unit are blinking. I haven't even had it for 24 hours yet. Hopefully, it's something stupid I'm doing.

How can you defend a predatory business practice that is capitalizing on a failed product? How can you ignore the facts that dozens of these atomizers have died, judging by this thread alone. As you well know, the atomizer warranty lasts a month! After that, what? Buy a new atty or get the subscription? If the product were good he wouldn't need to offer a subscription. If you think he's being nice offering a sub you are a bigger fool than I thought. It's business model to make him money, not help you.

And to be 100% clear, I'm not "mad at a product", I'm upset at the owner who is attempting to run an entire business model based on failed atomizers.

My 3rd and final atomizer died today. I was using it much more responsibly than my first 2 and never hit it back to back. It was performing pretty well up until today, but now it doesn't work at all. Bummer.
After watching you post several times with bad results, I hoped things would improve for you. I even made the plunge myself and now own a $200 paperweight.

Hey Guys! Couple quick updates before I jump on a livestream!

We did remove the walls from atomizer. As it turns out probably does more harm then good haha (although it holds the bucket in place nicely it seems to also hold wax in place nicely too haha. so all the new atomizers going out will be the new ones.

Silicone carbide samples just hit the factory and are looking and working great! im hoping to get a retail price on those at about a quarter of what the normal retail of them are right now.


@Diamondabs don't really know what to tell you there sir. I am fairly confident I did not lie as @Cevans811 pointed out the unit does work with android (as I am using my pixel xl 2 in many live streams with the app) but there are several dozen popular android phones and we are working to get it running on all of them. iOS on the other hand seems to have little to no issues for most people.

as far as "predatory business practice" I can assure you the $3.25 i gross (not even net) on each atomizer I sale at the extremely discounted rate isn't raking in the doe for me to say the least haha. At this point if one customer needed more then 1 atomizer replacement in a month i would be in the negative on that order.

With that being said my only option as a business owner is to constantly improve the quality of the atomizer until its at a satisfactory level for all users. (a harder task then it might sound)

But nonetheless if you are truly that dissatisfied with the product I can offer a partial refund despite having purchased from me directly or not. and I will give the unit to someone on here who might like it :D

SIDE NOTE:

I can totally understand anyone who is frustrated with a new product. specially one they may in there eyes have seen as an answer to a problem. We do offer warranty for any reason. usually 0 questions asked. and as most of you know we will and have continued to do our best to make as many improvements as we can with the device moving forward.

Sorry about that Stu, nothing I wrote in regards to the product had the intent to offend. Just feel like I got bait 'n switched. It's my opinion that a heating element shouldn't pull out of an atomizer after two uses to clean the element. I stated I was open to solutions from Focus and I still am.

IMO - should just make it come stock with the silicon carbide dish and re-calibrate the temps to specifically work with that (8 settings please, with regular increments between each setting) Nobody should be dabbing off Titanium in 2019, just phase it out for the progression of dabbing.

SiC will be useful for the small surface area of the insert diameter.

Let me switch gears and tell you what I like about the product:

The hit is smooth, more robust than a peak.

The atomizer threading design is quite good and wouldn't be an issue if it didn't also pull out the atomizer heating element.

The app is a great idea, if it worked with every phone, all the time.

Nice and light, but stable.

Did I mention it actually rips like a rig?

But let's touch on what I don't like:

I have a pixel 2 XL, same as you. the. app. doesn't. work. But if it did, I would like to see a way to have a list of "favorite" temps you can preselect when it connects to your phone and profile.

The heating element should be secured into the atomizer, in its current state, it will see failure rates beyond calculation.

First, welcome to FC, Dd. There's a 30-day warranty on the atomizer & a 2 or 3(?) year warranty on the device so you're covered.

Remember this is a just released device & all the kinks need to be worked out. No different than the rough rollouts for the Tera, Ghost MV-1, Haze Square & many others. It will work out.

This thread started with beta users a while before the preorders went out & for general marketplace sale; the latter 2 just released recently. If you have been following the thread, changes are being made to the atomizer & buckets, as well as the intro. of ceramic & sic. Glass mps are gonna be introduced among other customization.

Atomizers are disposal items be it for cannabis or e-cig usage. The atomizer's longevity will depend on how often you use it & cleaning care.

Maybe being an early adopter is not for you. Next purchase wait 2- 6 months for the dust to settle. But for now, relax. Either take @FocusV's partial refund offer or hang out with us a while until all the kinks get sorted out.
