Brilliant Cut Grinder

On the site, the Hematite looked really gunmetal. I can say that I am glad that I picked that color solid through. I figure in the future I can buy different colors of plates if I really want. So gunmetal is perfect.

@LabPong If you decide to change it, the Onyx is dead sexy IRL.

@Ramahs Thanks for clearing that up, glad I got it right.

Soooo, little side-bet for the regulars here, how many posts over the lovely month of May are going to be a variation of the following:

l ordered X in X colour on X date and it’s now been X weeks. Sure, I was told to expect a wait since it’s a big sale and that makes logical sense but now I don’t care, I just want it. So I have nothing to contribute here really but I do have this keyboard and will continue to post regular updates about literally nothing until X finally arrives, whereupon I shall disappear into the ether.”

Hope everyone is not too exhausted after another hectic holiday season. So much to vape and be thankful for & all the naps can make the day of 4/20 just fly by. Which is why I now also celebrate 4/21, 4/22 & so on, right through ‘til May.

Yea....I am not sure if I should change my color choice now...I do not want a silver blue grinder.....gray or slightly black is what I want. :hmm:

That's pretty funny to me just because I was worried it would be too grey now as the final version judging by the recent photos we've seen, whereas if it were the earlier more silver blue shade I probably would have picked it over my sky blue lol

This cracked me up, and is also 100% accurate.

Got an email back from the GFL team. They said they will switch my color.....not to Onyx...it will be a new color. They only described it as being "darker" than the current Hematite. So I am assuming it might be closer to the original Hematite or a shade lighter. They are calling it Slate. ...no pics yet

WTF??? I need to go look now.

Given that my order is delayed a few weeks for the purple production run anyhooo I can probably shift things around if need be.

No. The other grind plates would be sky blue & sspphire. So only 2 color grinders. The 3 color would be the coarse plate that I pretty much solely use. This way, I would intuitively know which grinder I was reaching for. ;) It's all about the ritual, baby. :D

I don't know this reviewer, and he says some things that I would dissagree with early in the video, but this will most certainly show how easy the grind plates are to change:

lol.....that so called reviewer.....didn't even know which plate is the coarse one....

@LabPong, don'I go making fun of wavy. I love wavy vaporizers. His reviews are from the street. It's no nevermind that he got the names of the medium & coarse plates wrong. As he said he only had (2) 1 plate grinders in his life. So if he doesn't know about the Lift, he wouldn't know what the different g. plates were called. As such, fine & coarse only made sense.

He was spot on with his assessment & clearly demo'd the BCG. He knew his grinds, & his "nugs." ;)

Wavy also mentioned not putting flower in the middle of the grinder but I don't think he realized the design of the BCG allows for that much more then a traditional grinder.

While I agree that it's possible with the BCG, and not most others...... I've found it grinds faster and easier off center like all the others.

For me, it's still the grind consistency that makes it special. The colors, lack of threading etc. are just bonuses!

What do you mean? - the weed placed off-center?

Like wavy, I break my herb into 4 pieces & place it around in a circle. It grinds faster, & out of years of habit. And, I, too, never put it on the center post @SquirrelMaster. Next use, I'm gonna throw caution to the wind & leave it in a hunk. :brow:

I'm with you on Wavy, I like his reviews, I know they're honest! I get a very different perspective from what I get collectively here.

I think we're already on the same page.

With the BCG I agree, you can put a small bud right over the center post and grind and it clears it just fine. Wavy wasn't aware of that and wanted to move it from the center.

I meant that I break mine up just like he did (and you ;)), but I put it around out around the outside of the ring, away from the center.

A couple weeks back my wrist was bothering me and I noticed the difference between the center and outer positioning and the torque on my wrist. While it can grind in the center, unlike most other grinders, I still find it easier to put it around the outside like I always have. The difference now is that when something does make it way there, I don't worry about it like he did in the video!

I never break my buds up. I like to handle them as little as possible so they don’t wick as much oil from my hands.

The BCG destroys whole nugs with relative ease and the drill tipped central pin is awesome. Place one nug on it, and the lid squishes down flat and even before some quick and easy twists chop it all up. You can tell the teeth are sharp like scissors, it’s making short work of a frequent task over here.
Still over the moon with it. Still haven’t cleaned it, and don’t feel the need after a few months and several ounces.
I’ve been using the fine and medium plates the most by far, due some coarse chopped choc poison tonight though
