Great find @Abysmal Vapor I posted that at my IG feed. I have done a couple versions of this and is still a work in progress you can see the latest version in Blackwood.

Hang in there @MrMonss I hope to have something working for it soon. I did just adapt it into a butane powered device with a glass heat intake. Check my IG feed below in my sig. There is alot going on over there as far as what I do.

@Max Jitter Thanks.

It takes focus?
When using da Lotus, it's kinda Zen meditation experience, to me.
During the Lotus-interaction, all my attention goes to the vape.
With the right attention and focus, my draw arrives in Flavor City.
A place. I like. A lot.
Smooth. Nice. Zen.
:bigleaf:

I've got to agree wholeheartedly with this.

I couldn't wait for 420 sales and ordered a lotus to have for 420.

I really enjoy using this device. I've been reaching for it often since it came in.

One thing I had to overcome was my fear of scorching the herb with the recommended flame length. I've got a few butane vapes and the recommendation given seemed aggressive.

But it works as directed and as advertised. I watched the vape critics lotus vape guide and found it very helpful to see someone use the lotus and talk about it. New users check the link below

Great flavor, great experience, great effects.

My only slight complaint is that the wpa arrived with a shitty magnet that didn't hold my cap on. I emailed CS and lotus got a replacement in the mail en route to me the next day. Good CS to boot!

This won't replace my vapman or dynavap. But it's different. It doesn't need to.

I'm getting ready to sit down on vacation and watch ESPN first take. And I'd rather have the lotus for the occasion than the dynavap.

Last night during game of thrones premier i reached for my vapcap and induction heater for speed during the episode.

Just contrasting my different uses so far.

Thanks lotus!

Vapcap is less fussy about the heat source, and for me personally, I combust more often with lotus,
especially with water.

I can see this being a problem (combusting) if you do not have the right torch. The Jobon funnel lighter Lotus sells is dialed in perfect for using with the Lotus. The torch is different because it shoots out a very concentrated longer thinner blue flame section. So the heat off it is precise compared to the other typical single flame lighters. The typical ones have a shorter fatter and more dispersed blue flame area...so you usually do not heat up enough....or you turn the flame up and you then over cook the plate.

I have never came close to combusting with the Lotus......dynavap....on rare occasions where I can not hear the click or I was too medicated and didn't wait for the cool off click...that is probably the easiest way to combust with the vapcaps.

I’m strongly considering picking up a Lotus as my 420 purchase this year. In the interest of saving money, if I just get the lotus silver cap and the male WPA (rather than the kit, which comes with the stem and the torch), will that be sufficient for use with my water pipe?

Are there any practical drawbacks to not springing for the saucer?

Thanks!

I do have that lighter, I don’t know why but I always combust when I try with the water attachment.
I don’t combust dry. I still find it fussy, as the lenght of the flame alway needs adjusting.
The sweet spot is a very narrow window that gets even thinner with the water attachment.
I personally don’t use it at all anymore.

That's sufficient. That's what I got, use it with a jhook, and enjoying it.

Saucer gives you more room to not get burned.

I have the stem, the WPA and a J-hook for my Lotus. I have hardly ever used the stem and only occasionally use the j-hook (tho I use it for other things). 90% of my Lotus use is with the WPA on water. It is an outstanding vape and once you get it down it is very easy to control.

I had the regular cap for a few years and my one complaint was a tendency to singe my fingers a little by accidentally touching the plate which is a little close to the edge. It didn't keep me from using it, but it was a minor annoyance, especially when I wasn't paying attention.

I recently picked up the Saucer and it completely eliminates this concern keeping the heat much further away from my fingers. It made a great vape even better and more comfortable to use.

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
My Lotus is from 4-5 years ago. It is not the daisy shape hot plate but looks like the current silver model.

I guess I'm confused with the progression of the hot plate. I know they offered a high temp for concentrates plate but now offer one type of functional hot plate.

My question would be: Is it a functional upgrade to replace my older plate with the $15 hot plate replacement on the website? My plate seems to be in great shape and is only discolored and no apparent degradation.

I used the wpa the other day and enjoyed the session. The alum stem used to be my DD several years ago. It was more about getting away from the torch that put it on the back burner. It is a wonderful vape and I have had much more success with it than the vapcaps. Even though there is no click, I had less combustion with the Lotus. Although when you do overd0 it, you know it. Smoke billows out of the tiny airholes like a steam locomotive. :sherlock:

and @ataxian and I still believe they have one of the best wpa designs out there. No dropping and breaking that mother fucker. You could run a Peterbilt over it.

edit: Just picked up one of those G43 healthstones from Bud. WTH, always looking to try something different.

I haven’t posted in this thread for a long time.
I went Lotus mad buying everything a while back & I still don’t need anything else for it right now which is perfect.

I’ve been trying out some battery powered portables lately but both my Lotus (wait what’s the plural for Lotus, Loti?) are still used regularly.

It’s a great vape that really doesn’t need any maintenance. It’s always so quick & easy to get some thick instant vapor from the Lotus.

I love the lotus, works great. But there is something about not having to use a lighter or torch that is nice. More so in situations where you don't want the image of lighting a bowl I suppose. But i can definitely say it works amazing. I can use it now with the torch set high as heck, or low as can be without combustion. You really do become a pro the more you use it.

The Lotus is a connoisseur’s device. It’s a stay at home device, even though Lotus markets it as an on the go vape. I’ve loved it since day one!

Hello good people,

here's a wood lotus pipe I turned this week...

20190816-191333.jpg

It is used with the lotus wpa .
I did it from a beautiful piece of walnut and it could be also used as a vapcap stem...

This one is already gone but feel free to pm me if you have some questions or if you need a custom one :)
