With my RX250 dna mod I can go even lower, start at 325F even, and yes at that low you do not need to stir, not until above 380 and even then TC helps keep heating even. Low watts will have a similar effect, just a bit more manual.

Yas. Splinters typically run at 25-45watts to cover all temp ranges, draw styles, and loading variance. Very very versatile!

Weird to see you not use "all caps" but I guess you gotten even more civilized :cool:

The maximum watt of your mod is 200watt but it will only draw what it's set to and that should be under 50 watt for most applications unless your some mad vape artist blowing huge clouds of ecigg juice vapor in your customised drip tank and handmade coils
But seams like most 510 threated vapes draw maximum of 50 watt even in Tc or temperature control they stay way under that level

Unless your doing concentrate in some ceramic dab thing and then I have no idea about the wattage

I was looking into an "extra" DNA75 Color and The VT75D was unavailable at Aliexpress, Fasttech and Gearbest.

Good luck finding one. If you find any seller with a decent deal please let us know.

The deal I found for a VT75D on Ali a couple of weeks back (and mentioned on FC) went up $10 the next day and the single battery 75C went up $18. Now they seem to be unavailable on Ali.

JUST GO BUY A SPLINTER V1 FROM VGOODIEZ ALREADY FOR ~$76 WITH CODE RBT420 AND ENJOY THE HERB

and to clarify, you won't be using TC mode for temp control btw, you will use standard power mode with watts, a ~25-45w range where you can milk low temps, temp step riding the wave, or rip big one hitters... Grab the male to male water pipe adapter stem and/or kooling kit stems for more versatility :brow:

So with the vgoodiez 420 sale, I got myself a custom Splinter Z. May I ask at which watts power are you guys vaping at? And which battery do you guys use? Also if I ever decided to grab a dna mod and do temp control, it shouldn't change anything right? Like I don't need a battery with higher CDR or anything right?

I’ve got a custom Z and I find 38W works well for me.
I’m using Samsung 25R’s in a Geekvape Aegis Legend or Lostvape Paranormal DNA250c.
Both work really well in wattage but I haven’t really got temp control on the DNA dialled in yet, going to have a play with it today. You shouldn’t need to change anything to get it working though. (Edit: Except for loading the profile onto your mod from
https://forum.evolvapor.com/files/file/567-fcshare/. Just been playing with it now and the latest profile works well if I up the temp a little bit.)

Mines on the Reuleaux Gen3Dual with LG HG2s and HE4s, sometimes start as low as 27w, more often 33 or 38 though, maybe even more 42-45w through a bubbler... Just gotta be quick then!

It never quite worked for me to use the TC mode with @HerbieVonVapster 's SplinterZ profile from the start, couldn't get clouds at all. Maybe it's cause I started using it in the cold season in a cold country, but for me, it took to preheat the unit properly, for that purpose I programmed profile #2 as wattage with full preheating at 45 Watts. I start with that profile and take two soft tokes so I start tasting the terps and get a light whiff of visible vapor, then I change to the (slightly tweaked, namely a bit more preheat punch) SplinterZ profile at 195°C and take really deep, long tokes to get brilliant, fat clouds and super even toasting. Works super with the cooling mouthpiece and on my bong with the male2male adapter.

Did you ever run a Case Analysis? Had problems with Herbies profiles too, but after the Case Analysis they work very well.

No I haven't because I understood from the file description on fcshare that it wasn't necessary if I downloaded the custom file for my specific mod, which I did. Have it running now though, thanks for the tip!

Sorry if there is a thread about this already but I have a quick question.

Just got my Z. Had a few bowls at 35 watts. Great performance all around.

I'm using a Joytec VTC Dual with their standard software in wattage mode.

Anyone else on that mod? What wattage are you using? any tips? FunkyJunk?

Can only help with wattage. In wattage, mod doesn't matter, only that you don't go above 50 watts. Wattage values are based on your taste/vapor preferences. You can start at one wattage & ramp up as the load is extracted or stay on 1 wattage throughout. Your call.
