I didnt even think of Boobs or bras when they first dropped the Dcup. Im pretty sure they weren't like "I like boobs lets call it D cup". I also have never seen newvape use half naked women or sex to advertise there products at all.:2c:

I figured it was chosen because it would be easy for lazy Americans to type lol.

Newvape Flowerpot Showerhead never exactly rolled off the tongue.

@Grifo marketing doesn't have to be overt to get the point across, but I do get what you're saying. Like I said, it doesn't bother me personally, but I can easily see how it could for others. Just playing Devil's Advocate here. The weed industry is filled with things much more blatant (like actual ass and titties to sell something mundane like a storage container for shit's sake).

Anyway, I'm stoked to see NewVape expanding their lineup and continuing innovation!

On the one hand D-cup is a good name, easy to say clearly stands for dab cup, on the other hand it powerfully evokes bosoms, more to the point bosoms that are on the large size
Or should I say 'more to the nipple bosoms that are on the large size' Arrgghh now I'm doing it.
Phwoar tittties, it's meant to be funny and women's private areas are the butt of the joke, so here we have a product which is marketed in such a way as to mildly humiliate women.
it's not as bad as something which is shaped like private parts but it alludes to those products, so we can laugh about titties but pretend we're not laughing about titties?

It's just a bit silly, a bit Benny hill, I'm just a bit embarrassed for you new vape, I thought you were above that kind of thing.
Anyway what's next, the nutsack storage container?

I totally agree! The nutsack storage container would be the perfect partner for the penis bong, I'm not saying there is no place in the world for the penis bong it's just not the sort of thing that would appeal to me, I want something more sophisticated, more grown up, that's how I see the new vape equipment.

Maybe I've got it wrong?
Maybe I'm not really the customer but they are aiming at?
I get that there is a certain amount of masculine coding in the new vape line, 'machine tooled titanium precision engineering' etc
maybe the d-cup name actually lines up very well with their marketing strategy but I just can't see it because I'm not their target customer?

Space/Time paradox here! :zombie:

Not intended in that way at all as far as I know. Originally it was going to be the DeeCup. I may have suggested the shorter DCup.

Maybe that's irrelevant. Just trying to keep things simple here. Sorry to disappoint you.

I don't like the larger air quantity in the can of the larger rigs and think the bit more draw resistance of the 14mm gives me better/more dense vapor....also, they tend to be smaller and I don't like a very big rig for dabbing.

Just my take on it....for Shower Head, G43, and the like....the 65mm can with 18mm joint is just fine.

@Baron23 the dcup uses the same 3/8 - 18 thread with the same 1/4" ID on all 3 of it's adapters. This 1/4" id is also how the adapters connect to the safety stand. So the draw resistance will / should be the same on 18 and 14mm. The ideal draw resistance / air flow was carefully considered when developing the dcup. It's my belief that added draw resistance is preferred with concentrates and open air flow is preferred with flower. I feel the resistance is where it needs to be for the Dcup.

Unlike like the showerhead, weedeater, shovel head, with the 18mm post which has a 1/2" thru hole for massive air flow. The Vrod has the same 1/4" minor dia in it's path (dish nut) as the Dcup. IMO the airflow / resistance is controlled by the smallest passage in the vapor path.

Is it possible for you to measure the smallest ID of the liger vapor path? I'm not sure if it's the tube or an adapter?

Hi Edwyn - wow, what an outstanding, detailed, and thoughtful reply !! And thoughtful design!!

We seem to view desired air flow similarly for flower vs trates devices, which I find to be very flattering. Haha

Yeah, I have calipers and give me a bit and I can try to suss that dimension on the Liger for you. I have an older v2 Liger and don’t know about his later designs.

But wow, do you ever think the details out. Love it!

I see alot of the small dab rigs have 10mm joints nowadays. I wonder what does speak against 10mm and for 14mm for dab rigs?

IMO the first generation (2010) dab / oil rigs used 14mm male connections. That new era of oil rigs used the 14mm male connections and solved 2 problems that existed with the previous 18mm female weed bongs that had been produced for the previous 100 years. 1) the smaller 14 male seemed to be the correct restriction to properly function the rigs perks with the average person's lung strength. 2) the expanding titanium nail would expand outward eliminating the possibility of damaging glass. I've always considered the 10mm as a novelty / travel / tipsy and better suited for the quartz banger and torch. As the dabbing industry progressed we found better ways to heat our nails and the fear of damaging a rig due to thermal expansion has seemed to be diminished. As we are seeing plenty 14mm female glass rigs today. Looking back when titanium nails first came out they were being way overheated with a torch and we were all coughing like crazy due to the supper hot vapor and excessive butane in the bho. As it turns out the stars that we were seeing after those dabs were due more to the high temp (red hot titanium nail) than the actual thc content. Since those days the industry has figured out better ways of heating our dab rigs. The torched quartz banger with sand hour glass has emerged as a way to gauge proper temp consistency. Swabbing the dish after each dab with a clean q-tip has also become sop. The Dcup represents newvape's 4th generation enail product. I feel the simple enail with a sapphire, obsidian, or sic dish is the way of the future. Constantly reheating up the quartz banger with a torch vers turning the enail on for the day with a obsidian dish seems like a no brainier to me. Sorry for the ramble.

Edywn - so, my Liger 2.0 is a heavy piece of Ti with a direct inject tube....def for use with male rig joints but also keeps vapor away from the joint in a female rig joint also.

This tube defines the max constriction in the air path (I believe...I did not take it apart to measure the I.D. of cross tube (see pic below).

I measured it at 4.85mm but mine's a cheap electronic caliper so let's just say 5mm.

This is what it looks like from the bottom. The shroud that forms the male joint on the Liger is reversible to be a female joint, but I never use it that way as my only male joint rigs are a bit either tall, light, or both (think Bates and Worm external diffusion rig w-male joint...damn thing will tip over in a NY second).

Hope this is somewhat helpful.

Thank you very much, it explains alot to me and helps me skip some steps!

And I am happy my limited experience corresponds. (I have no big experience with 10mm glass. It might be also more difficult to clean than 14mm? But I still would like to try it on the small 10mm glass)

I love the design of the DCup. By far the best of its kind (with a little titanium), in my eyes!

I do not know if Macor could equal an all glass air path, but Macor does produce irritant (toxic?) dust when machined. I would prefer the Newvape team not having to handle or inhale this dust. Although I am pretty sure their shop is prepared for that.

I too find for using various extracts an enail beats the torch. For example pure CBD needs a markedly higher temperature to vaporise correctly than rosin. It is much easier to hit the right temperature each time with an enail like the DCup, than a torch.

edit: irritant not toxic ; 10mm

I am very sorry for the double post and for offending people and for being unripe, sexist, racist and whatever applies for this post. Please remove if necessary.

I just can't keep it in any more, but I think I would need two DCups. I mean one? Come on...
And I think I would find carb caps with big nipples for the directional flow.
I bet this will give the best milk shots ever! Just need see-through glass.
With a bit of exercise you could get the balls spinning on both sides, maybe even in different directions.
You get the picture.

Fuck I am so sorry, but it just had to come out...

I want these someday even if it is only for the name, plus the vape case with the peace sign and "For Hippies by Hippies" is just my new vape-dream. Maybe I would find a quick way to disguise the case in a business/work case, for emergencies.

P.S. Almost forgot to mention that I am thinking of a way to upgrade to HCup for full melt Hash.
