The whole strip of metal shows up pretty well in this pic, you can see how it stands out:

I wouldn’t pay it any mind. If I did want to pay it any mind, I’d file it down. Never try to tear it.

Or, your best first move would probably to message Dynavap with those pics and the exact same question you posted here and see what they say before you try to “fix” it. They have a stellar customer service reputation.

The Omni doesn't have a spinning mouthpiece because turning the MP is how you adjust the special Omni condenser.

There is really no reason to get better clouds from the M other than not having the Omni dialed in yet. The 2 tips should be very similar in cloudage, tho the different metals will make the manner of getting them slightly different. The Steel (M) tip holds heat longer, for example, and the Ti (Omni) heats and cools faster. You have to play with them to get them right, but once you do they are very consistent.

They are in the middle of a new product launch - I have no doubt they may not be super quick at responding to you right now, but they will get back to you.

I think with the SS tip of the M, you are able to get all of the flavor in one heat cycle, since it stays hot for l0nger. With the Ti tip, while the flavor may still be there for the second cycle, it has possibly degraded a bit from going through that first heat cycle.

I don't notice a massive difference in flavor between the two tips myeelf, but tomorrow I will do some empirical research to try and confirm for you, @ataxian

Managed to get my 2019 M and Dynacoil a little earlier than expected today! (Along with some Karma)

At the base of one side of the digger outer part of the cap of my new 2019 M, there's a little bit of metal sticking out that looks like it's part of a not completely trimmed tiny strip of extra metal that isn't there on the other side, nor have I seen it on my 2017 M or the Karma M I got with this. Looks like a small machining defect or something, but anyway it should be safe to try and pull it off of the cap, right? It sliced my finger when I first handled the cap so I don't wanna leave it be.

It's hard to get it to show up in the photo but it looks like if I could get a grip around the part coming up I could pull down and get all the extra stuff removed, but I wouldn't want it to just start tearing the cap, either, nor make things sharper than they already are. Doesn't seem to affect the function in any way.

Ouch! A small needle file (or possibly a nail file) should smooth out the burr, or if there is one in
The workshop, a needle nose plier. ;) Work it gently, back and forth. (am assuming it’s a burr,
Shearing snippers, if one is handy, kinda hard to make out in pictures?)

Thank you for all the info. One last question so I shouldn’t be turning and playing with my mouthpiece then like I have?

Well, it's a lazy Saturday afternoon.
I have nowhere I have to be and it's shitty weather outside.
So off to gaming I go, with a few toys to help me out on my adventures! :dog:

I'm glad you finally received the glass stem!

About the picture, I know it's a vapeforum, but it must be said that you have an epic PlayStation controller. Enjoy your gaming session!

I wouldn't try that--stainless steel doesn't tear easily. You could bend the cap, and it will probably still be sharp.

I'm going to assume you don' t have a Dremel, because if you did, you'd already have used it. Everyone with a Dremel is looking for an excuse to use it.

So, I'd just file it off. Even if you don't have a proper file, you could remove that with the file on a Leatherman, or probably even the file on a nail clipper.

Of course, if you mention it to Dynavap, they'll surely send you a new one. They're awesome.

Good luck.

Thank you for all the info. One last question so I shouldn’t be turning and playing with my mouthpiece then like I have?
With the Omni condenser assembly, as you turn the MP it causes the condenser to move either up or down in the stem , opening or closing the airflow at the tip. The purpose is to "set and forget" the amount of airflow you get from the airhole on the stem. So normally you set it and leave it there, unless you want to adjust the airflow differently.
On a Nonavong or any non-omni VapCap with a condenser and a MP, the MP doesn't adjust anything and can freely turn, therefor called a spinning mouthpiece.
You can also have a VapCap with no MP at all, and/or one with no condenser and air hole that you can get from third parties like @stardustsailor . These condenserless VCs don't add outside air to the mix and tend to give denser hits, but generally require mouthpulling only as the airflow is very tight.
Vapcaps are kind of a platform that allow for a surprising amount of variety in style, while still using the same basic technology to work. Many VC users have quite an array of different vapcaps for their stoning pleasure. Once you get in to it, you may too. It kinda sneaks up on you... :o

If u order the Omni VonG of DynaVap does it come with the spinning mouthpiece on it already? One last question so I shouldn’t be turning and playing with my mouthpiece then like I have?

The 3.5" NonaVonG S and the 4.25" NonaVonG XLS both have spinning mouthpieces. The mouthpiece freely spins on the condenser and is held in place with x-rings. The S in the model name refers to the spinning mouthpiece. The spinning mouthpiece can help you to twirl your Vapcap while heating it if you nestle the mouthpiece in your palm of under your little finger while your index finger and thumb rotate the midsection across your flame.

The Omni models both the 3.5 inch standard Omni model and the longer 4.25 inch Omni XL have a condenser/mouthpiece assembly that thread together. The mouthpiece does not " spin", rather it can be turned deliberately to screw the mouthpiece farther into or away from the condenser.

The mouthpiece should always sit flush tight to the midsection, so the action of turning the mouthpiece results in making the assembly longer or shorter and affects the airflow through the air port located on the midsection. If the mouthpiece and condenser are screwed together as far as they can, the airflow is open since the shorter assembly sits slightly away from the tip. If the assembly is extended by screwing the mouthpiece away to the end threads, it is extended into the tip and cuts off most of the airflow coming into the air port.

The Omni condenser/mouthpiece assembly is a 'set it and forget it' function. Play around with the threading and find your sweet spot. The condenser/mp assembly automates the airflow that is otherwise manually done with your finger on or off the air port.

I have to admit that when I got my first Dynavap I didn't think it was for me . I didn't like the torch, and wasn't very good at using it. So I got a Portside Mini hoping it would be better, it wasn't. So I went ahead and pre-ordered the 19M and went back and did some more reading through this thread. All the different tips and tricks I've read about have made a huge difference . I guess I didn't realize that something so simple would have a learning curve . And I also didn't realize that something so simple could be so effective . Combined with the IH I am getting so medicated with so little flower that I can't believe it's coming from this little piece. Here's to sticking with it this time and learning all I can about this little wonder.

You don’t stand in front of a mirror before a vape session
wondering what the vapcap will think of your outfit.

You don’t have to listen to its jokes and
pretend they’re funny in order to vape on
it.

It would not be easier to vape if you
dressed better.

The vapcap doesn’t notice if you’re not
wearing makeup, or didn’t comb your hair.

It does not care how old you are.

You do not feel uncomfortable because you
make more or less money than the vapcap.

And you can call on the vapcap whenever you feel like it. Whether it’s
been a day or even a couple of hours since your last
date.

The only thing the vapcap cares about, is
that you pay it a visit once in a while.

DynaVap. No games…just great vaporizers.

@Monkeyhouse has been making various cooling glass stems for different vaporizers. When suggested
He make some for VapCaps he promptly mailed his vision of one.

Pony Express from Eastern Mass is due in Monday. I hope.

Hello @all:)

I am loving my dynavaps soo much. :)
i have 3 M18 and one M19
Now i am thinking which one is better of them and i am very interesting how you are think about it.

i dont know which one is better at the end of the day.. in my opinion could only the change on the tip what force in the effect

I think that felt no big difference for me is noticeable between M18 and M19. if I think that the M18 would be a little bit more in the strong effect from the high ..
