The AIO presses usually come with a few extra parts, though I'd check over the frame and make sure everything that is threaded is bolted, with the exception of the legs, those thread into the top of the back of the frame.

Yes your house is gonna reek from pressing, even a couple of buds (I found this out when I used a hair straightener!), I'd suggest if you have a box fan to put in your window exhaust it out during your pressing time, it should clear it out rather quickly.

That just happened...
For pressing hash the key is going slow. If the puck isn't completely heated so that the rosin can flow it blows through contaminates. And it doesn't take much pressure. Most of the rosin will flow out before you even need to register pressure on the gauge. I always stop at that point then do second pressing where I crank it down to 2,000 psi. That second pressing is great for naps. :)

I would only do 2-3 grams at a time. It can make a real mess. :D

-> 116€ should be the bill for tax/customs when u buy the 10t Driptech and 619$/560€ your total, thats with todays currency exchange rate and AT processing fee requirements but i guess its pretty the same in germany....dont hang me if it differs but that should be a pretty exact estimate IMO :)

I ll gladly pay the custom, more concerned about having to go there myself and explain what is in the package... my paranoid me just can t imagine that :rofl:.

I guess i ll just have to order and hope the best, via dhl there should be a good chance.

Right now i go back and forth between the 6t and 10t model and can t decide but seeing the pics and numbers of your wonderful last squish is very encouraging and tempting to get this going!

Dont worry, DHL will communicate with u via Email, they just want a screenshot of the invoice and a fitting match of ur paypal and maybe if its privat or a business transaction thats it.
After that it gets handed out for delivery where u have to pay the bill upon arrival at ur door or at the next office if it happens that u are not at home at delivery...just like a normal parcel :)

First time i ordered (was my nugsmasher) i ran into the same problem and concerns but my triings to speed up things

I think you will also run into problems packing 14g instead of 10g into one of the bags, the puck gets higher and my triings with 11g alrdy showed me that the bags start to blow at my normal go-to pressure of 2,5-3k psi per 40mm puck.

Rosin flow should be controllable with altered technique so that would not be the problem...maybe a rectangular puck would also be better for that kind of amount :)

20g is more "show" pressing for me as i tend to get a tiny bit better results when staying with one puck :)

I have a few ounces to press for a friend ... so was thinking about doing them in 20+g packs ... what do you guys think? 2.5"x4"? 2"x4"? How much should I folder over when doing a rectangular pack? (I don't have a pre-press mold ... never found the need personally for bottle-tech packing ...)

I do not think they will ask.. it is nothing forbidden to import... I think dabpress is also CE now...
My funniest moment with customs was when they told me the flowerpot showerhead is a e-cig.. it is forbidden to import for private people... I told them it is a aroma device for aromatherapy ... no problems...

Anyways my plan with the dabpress was; a.) it is a t-shirt press or b.) for extracting essential oils...
and yes I had the same experience with dhl like @gunmetalshark ... and they did not ask what it is...

Setup the BVA P350 pump yesterday and ran into issues. The BVA hose CS1414 threading is slightly different from our gauge kit and coupler. Ironically the strongway hose works. I'll have to do some research on that.

Anyhow, I was able to build the BVA P350 pump with dabpress gauge kit, dabpress coupler, and strongway 10000 PSI hose. It is a very small pump and does really well getting the pressure built up. I noticed with this pump it doesn't take the 3 pumps I need on the strongway to move the plates, they move on the first pump. I did a pressure test on a bamboo plank up to 7500 PSI on the guage, which ended up being a little over 8 tons total force. It didn't seem to be much easier than the strongway to build pressure. The back of the pump tended to lift as I operated the handle. That can be clamped down to your worktable, or bolted using the supplied holes.

Here's a size comparison. Strongway 10-ton pump with gauge #46278 up top, BVA P350 in the middle, and BVA P1000 below.

Recieved wonderfully packaged press and turned some ooold stinky buds into some new stinky rosin. Turned one bud of almost dry elmers glue into the most amazing smelling dab ever. This thing is fantastic! Using portapower pump with the dabpress gauge kit. Very happy and very medicated.

One question tho, how do I know if it's too wet to press? I'm wondering if while a bit early to throw in a jar if its not too early for the press. Seemed to work swimmingly.

Did you feel like assembly of the pump with the gauge kit was fairly easy or did you have any issues?

Regarding the moisture content of the bud, I keep my flower in mason jars with individual hygrometers and boveda or boost 62% packs. The bovedas and boosts are not necessary if you can maintain the right level of RH in the jar. If you prefer to save money, you can also wet a napkin with some distilled water and tape that to the inside of the lid to increase the humidity.

My jars range between 58-62% usually, they're stored in a room about 55F.

I'm pretty mechanically inclined, so it went smoothly. Kept the pump pointed up so i didnt lose any fluid, teflon and cranked it down good. I also used the fitting included with the dabpress on the end of the portapower hose as recommended. No leaks.

As far as the buds, they were harvested last saturday and are in my homemade drying cabinet sitting at 60%. Still no crack in stems at all but seemed to press nice and didnt sizzle or anything and seemed to come off the parchment ok, it was only prolly a .5 bud tho :) I'm gonna throw some in a jar with a caliber right now and see what humidity they are at.

Also, any idea if the plug with the allen key on the portapower pump thats in the same location as the air release on the strongway pump serves the same purpose but without a knob?

Excellent! I am always worried some people may run into trouble.

My experience with fresh material, even when I had it dried to 56% RH, when rehydrated to 62% they weren't really to my preference, the color was a bit green and the taste was a little harsh. After 4 weeks in the jar they about perfect. I think if you were to hash or sift some now, it would probably press into a much better product since you dont have the chlorophyll in the plant matter.

I'm not sure on the other pump, did it come with a manual? Usually I see them with either an air release valve on the rear of the pump (strongway, bva, enerpac), or they don't have an air release valve. My pump for my dake b-10 press doesn't have an air release valve, their tech support told me that keeping the release valve open about 1/4 turn would act as an air release. I then got in the habit of always leaving my hand pumps with the release valve open 1/4 turn, figuring why let any air build up?

It seems my drying cabinet is working, after an hour in a jar it's reading 61%(probably not long enough). Did a lot of probably way overcomplicated work to try and avoid overdrying. Attempting laminar airflow yadda yadda.


So I found and followed these bleeding instructions, including for the ram (precarious :) ). I'm getting movement of the plates on the second pump. The oil filler screw it seems is the bolt i thought it was and is in the same position as the air bleed screws i see in videos that are operated with a finger knob.

How to bleed air from system 1. Bleed air from ram: Place pump at a higher elevation than the hose and ram (refer to figure 4). The objective is to "float the air bubbles up hill and back to the reservoir where they belong. Close valve and extend ram as fast as possible. Open valve fully allowing oil and air to return to reservoir. Repeat this procedure two or three times will do the trick. 2. Bleed air from pump: With ram fully retracted, remove oil filler screw to let pressurized air escape, then reinstall oil filler screw.

I'm gonna have to use it for a while, but I expect it'll be great. I've gotten used to the size and weight of the strongway pump for so long now, this is a different feel in the handle. The pump is quite noisy when pressure is being applied, more-so than the strongway. A quick clamp has helped me secure it to the stainless table, but I'll probably look at something a bit lower profile as the clamps a little in the way.

Speaking of clamps, check out this killer worktable a customer with the hr10t35v and strongway pump showed me, he is using the built in clamps to assist with the pre-press molds. 1000 lb weight capacity.

Sounds like your flowers good to go! If you're happy with quality of it, press on! Admittedly I am more of a cured resin vaporist myself, I have sensitivities to too much irritants and those early terps are a killer for me =/

That sounds exactly like my Dake pump, the oil fill valve is centered in the back of the reservoir.

Movement on the 2nd pump is great, some of the pumps I've used have taken 7 just to get the plates moving.

These pics were taken a couple weeks back.
My first keif squish,

I did 2 runs 10g each of Mendo Breath dry-sift.

Run 1: 215 F / 180 s 75u filter bag = 3.5g

The Rosin produced was shatter-hard and black.

2nd Run 1: 230 F / 180 s 75u filter bag = 2.5g
I had a blow out (too fast on the pressure).

I did a 3rd Run that was a second press of both pucks 14g, 200 F / 180 s 75u filter bag = .66g

Total return was 6.56 grams, 33%.
Would have been higher had I not had the blow out.

Not sure why it is so black and hard, nothing else I have pressed has ever come out like that.

On deck this weekend will be some Lemon Zest and Strawberry Milk.
