I tried the SJK IH last night. First bowl was rough, I don’t think I was inserting the tip in quite far enough. The heater timed out on me multiple times before I got a click on each cycle, doesn’t matter if the tip was already warm or not. The weed tasted completely vaped by the fourth cycle.

I set it down and did some chores, came back and tried it again. Inserted the Dynavap deeper this time. Now it only timed out once when heating it from cold, and then heated significantly faster once things were warmed up. I got more cycles and they tasted better. I probably got six good sessions out of the second bowl, and probably could have done another session or maybe even two.

I look forward to using it with the DDave mod for this heater, that should make things a lot easier and smoother. And I’m really excited to try his vapor cooler (dry version).

I once again decided to skip the 2019 M and the XL condenser. Instead I ordered a glass Charlie cooling stem. I have two tips at the moment so all I needed was a second stem, and the glass stem means no need for a condenser. I’m going to compare the two cooling stems (Glass Charlie and DDave), and whichever one is the coolest I will use with flower (CCD in), and whichever is less cool I’ll use with the Dynacoil (no CCD). This reduces my VAS and leaves me with lots of good configuration options.

...leaving mine soaked in iso but it doesn't seem to be cleaning it fully...

Resin is so sticky.
Alcohol kinda works, but doesn't.

Get a lil bottle of Goof-Off, Goo Gone, etc. at the hardware store checkout stand.
Nice orange flavor/aroma.
Maybe help it along w/ an old toothbrush, warm soapy water.

Warm alcohol + shaking should help get most of it off

I ordered my 2019 M and my Dynacoil kit (you did what?) 3 days ago or so, but I don't expect it to ship until April per their notice. Then I have to go on a hunt for some concentrate. My flower guy will be no help to me (Nobody ever asks says he...).

Carts (apparently) but no hash or shatter. I may need to find someone with a med card...

Yoh, Broh!
Has ISC Chi released your Glass Charlie stem for DELIVERY.

Ordered an XL from VGoodiez yesterday, left Atlanta for a scheduled Saturday DELIVERY.

Hopefully yours will get to you before then.

What I like about ordering from this side of the pond is the expedite DELIVERY.
ISC sux.

Plus, saving ~ $10 bux
on mailing. Smiling. Looks like the (XL, and XXL)GCCS $OLD out lickity
Split.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

“Medium” for me, please...

PS Scott @VGOODIEZ is top notch CS!

Nope. But it has moved. Given the current tracking, I suspect it may be waiting for me in my mailbox tomorrow when I get off work.

Can't dissagree with that. I may look into ordering a couple more from Vgoodies if it's any cheaper including shipping.

Sounds like you need an 18MM male to 14MM female GonG (Glass on Glass) adapter.

Basically this: https://www.smokecartel.com/products/sleek-and-simple-male-to-female-adapter

Good showing, Bro!

Scott said that while most of the cooling glass sold, more to come.

Free mailing for orders over $25 (cooling glass are $23.99 each).

Cool. That means that I can get two from Vgoodies for the price of what one cost me shipping from across the pond.
That'll work. Plus I want one that will fit my standard Dynastash anyway, and a spare XXL for if/when I drop the first one.

Is that kosher ?

I've been informed, since the time I made that post, that it is not.

I don't know enough about how one can treat titanium. I guess it's a bit more fragile of a metal than I'd once thought.

I wanted to share the details of my custom Portside Mini build using a Pelican 1030 case with a 2200 mAh 50C battery which should be good for ~30 bowls.

Parts list:

Bare Bone Kit from Pipes: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_202eBzWeF7rkTjqV5sWumPxtbSNtfjqOZEs1i9d16k/edit

BareBone Components:
BB-DM (Driver Modular) $30
BB-BH (Battery Harness) $20
BB-HC (Home Charger) $10
BB-T (T type Adapter) $5

Pelican 1030 Micro Case $24: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001TOLRC6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

2200mAh 3S 50C Lipo Battery $18: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077P73SDS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Tiny Rubber Feet $5: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XCNM69B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Total: $112 + shipping

Build time: ~ an hour

Tools: soldering iron, razor bad, glue, scissors

Parts (did not use the foam):

vIBAsS4.jpg

I started by removing the rubber lining and dry fitting and decided to have the coil exit the side of the case:

wKjNhTT.jpg

Next I used a high temp (900) soldering iron with an old tip to melt a hole in the case:

ggQwdtE.jpg

I would alternate melting and larger and larger circles and then cutting off the extra with a box cutter blade:

cb4C2ZV.jpg

It's a slow and tedious process, here is the final hole and switch, the glass is protected by the plastic case:

sEnQnNY.jpg

And the other end hides the battery tester and charging port:

JamnjTl.jpg

I installed some small rubber feet so it won't slide around while inserting the vape:

A53zWOO.jpg

Here are the internals all installed:

Ms8kgfL.jpg

I then carefully cut the rubber lining so I could install the seal:

ItNBDl4.jpg

I then trimmed about a 3/4 of an inch from the rubber lining so I could flip it over and cover the internals:

Bt6EStp.jpg

There is enough room to store your vape inside the case, or the charger:

EWA1LKe.jpg

I am pretty happy with how it turned out.

Now I just need my new 2019 M to ship ;)

Thanks! A Happyfun Project!

. There are smaller Li-PO batteries if you want a smaller enclosure.
. A drill bit would leave your Classy case a little less battle scarred (instead of a soldering iron)?

You might also want to have some heat vents, for a safe enclosure.

Great gumption, on your part, @HappyFunTime!

When you have a V2 edition which is EDC (smaller, safer), and a good price point, HMU!

Thanks.

I wanted a bigger battery and I store all my vape gear in 1030 cases so this keeps things consistent.

I was afraid of cracking the case with a drill

Yeah wanted to test it out before adding venting.

Not really sure what that last sentence means.
