Sapphire by storm

Yes Im no expert by any shadow at all (ahem, understatement lol (shit I just had to check the spelling of that word because I never realised it was so long)), but me it does look and sound very promising.
It immediately caught my attention as a potential contender for many currently higher priced portables.

I look reallly forward to hearing some feedback on this one.

possibly, i have not seen a starry2 and it looks a bit like the OG starry.

Me either actually but I've seen it mentioned so I know it exists and I would presume that's what it is because I think the Spark he mentioned was the Storm rebrand of the Starry (original Storm was an xmax V2 pro for vapefiend)

Hey everybody who sees this thread.
Im surprised to not hear anything still on this one. Im really intrigued. I watched a new IG video by Vapefiend yesterday. George is still absolutely LOVING the Sapphire it seems.

Anyway, in the video they demo the Sublimator. Then, they basically pack it away for storage, dissing it quite a bit for its bulkiness, heaviness and danger(ness).

And then he insists that the £55 Sapphire is just as good and hard hitting as the Sublimator, matching it for power and clouds and extraction.

Have a view maybe anyway.

@Stu @pakalolo hey guys big love. I'm just wondering why this thread is still in the upcoming and unreleased section? I was searching for it for ages before I realised it was still here but this vaporizer has officially been released and may get a little more attention if this thread is moved?

I mean, I wonder how that thing would compare to a GH let alone a Sublimator... hard to believe for sure, even from Vapefiend.
Their first post claims it "Performs pretty much exactly like the Spirit, but half the price!". . .

Seems like hype train marketing by attacking something previously unmatched, that can't defend itself. I mean, the Subs clouds are something else..
This little thing looks impressive mind you, for the price.
How big is the conduction chamber? And how much stirring am I avoiding?

Well I'm not sure if pure conduction is for me anymore plus it has a quite large bowl with no capsules, but the low price of this made me have a browse at the listings and I can tell you what I've learned from that.

This appears to be a relative of a Storm Spirit (Starry rebrand), and how they have made it more affordable is:
This model has five presets (instead of an OLED readout with incremental adjustment by degree),
and this one has a fixed battery inside (instead of removable 18650 like the Spirit/Starry).

Another difference worth pointing out is that the Max. temp of this device is listed as being lower (about 20c lower IIRC) than the Spirit/starry models.
Maybe not important to many people.

So with that in mind it would probably make for a difficult choice between the two!
But it's still great to have a working electronic model so well priced like this and with a convection model like Xvape Fog it appears all bases are covered for cheap.

This device has appeared in Vaposhop (EU) now too so the FC code makes it reasonable with free post!

I love conduction in a portable vape. The battery can handle conduction easier than convection.
Has anyone tried this vape?

I have one. I intended to share, but have been too unwell.

However- its yet another vaporizer which I am strangely and unexplainably intolerant to, like so many.
So I only had 2 loads 3 nights ago. I was very impressed indeed with the sheer ease of use, vapor/cloud production, vapor quality, smoothness and most of all effects.

It worked extremely well out of box and was a pleasure to use. On setting 2, 190 C, instant vapor, visible and satisfying from draw 1. Vapor increases in density throughout of course.

Minimal restriction, not an issue IMO. Heat up is fast enough, like a minute (?).
As the bowl went on vapour production remained consistent but smoothness was maintained and the flavour never really declined either which I was surprised about.

There was absolutely nothing unpleasant about it. Upping to setting 3 bumped up clouds to finish the load. Extraction was good and effects were very immediate and very full and impressive for such a tiny and cheap device.

I didn't really need a second load but I had one anyway. Stayed on 2 only, as my chest was very bothered from the first load. I noticed afterwards that the load I tipped out which was on setting 2 was a noticeably lighter tan colour than the darker Brown load which I finished on 3.

But both loads were very uniform. I did stir once, but it wasnt entirely necessary.
I was very disappointed once again to try a new vape I really like and suffer so bad respiratory wise. I don't intend to use it again so its hard to do a review at all.

I only used the WPA and bubbler. I ran through the loads quite quickly as well. But with goid bang for buck. Effects were strong and satisfying. I am accustomed to powerful desktops, and this Sapphire I imagine could just anout keep me happy on a desert island.

I dont feel like George was talking shit tbh. On higher temps Im sure it would be a fog machine, and I would expect the vapor to be pretty smooth and pleasant still.

Not sure what else to say. I liked it- tiny, light, fast, dead easy to use. Very good quality vapor. Fast extraction. Would satisfy high tolerances. And cheap too.
Hope that helps.

Delighted that its a good un.. sad that you cant use it.
Did you consider it may be the materials in vapes and not the weed that cause reactions?
No it is neither. I mean, yes I am allergic to cannabis vapor as well as practically anything intoxicating. I put up with it and manage it the best I can as the alternative is to go insane.

It is nothing to do with materials either. I use the Elev8r every day, but reacted very badly to the EVO and Glass Symphony. All identical materials and rival hitting power.

Even the tiniest most invisible low-temperature hits on those 2 which I couldn't tolerate caused an unbearable respiratory reaction similar to a genuine allergy, but does not occur with the Elev8r even when taking hits 20 times the size (literally, I misjudge its fountain of vapor all too frequently and flabberghast myself with plumes of exhalation.)

The Flowerpot was the worst of all. Impossible to tolerate at any heat, load, hit size etc.
But the Herborizer Ti I CAN use, although my comfort with it, being a super powerful extractor and heavy hitter, does vary a lot depending on the level of my chronic respiratory infections which are directly related to my allergies.

But Im not having an apparent, and Incredibly severe and intolerable seemingly genuine allergic reaction to the Herborizer, despite the materials being identical to the Flowerpot.

Both devices are very similar also in function, extraction, vapor density/quality, effects. Herbo is a little more potent, better tasting and slightly smoother too. But those aspects don't actually have anything to do with my ability to tolerate one and not the other there is just some bizarre and strange alchemy going on to do with subtle differences between devices creating an effectively different substance in the exact formation of vapor they produce and my immune system is misbehaving and overreacting unnecessarily- to the majority of the device's vapor, rather than the device itself.

got one of these as a stop gap while my GH is away on one of it's bi-annual warranty repairs and I am very impressed. It's much smaller than I thought it would be, feels good quality (metal body), it's easy to use, heats quickly and packs a decent punch
For 45 quid I am very very impressed.

Could be the Volvo we drive while the damn racing tuned Porsche is in the shops again  just so damn hard to figure out what portable electric on demand vaporizer to get that doesn't break the bank and matches the hopper in some way
Edit:forgot to add the last thing about the hopper
