Yeah, not trying to be too snarky. George is awesome and DV is awesome. I'm just saying that it's kinda incongruous to be all fired up for his eventual offering when there are respectable IH options already available and DV have prioritized a mess of vapcap releases in the year or more folks have been clapping their hands about the DV cup heater.

Is DynaVap finally coming out with an Induction Heater ???

DynaVap is killing my V.A.S. At least my OTHER brand VAS.

AND my G.A.S.

I had my 420 shopping planned out. At least I thought I had.

I wanted and had been saving for a ditanium desktop. It can work as an e-nail, and a convection vape. Or both at the same time, if you’re into that.

I had also planned to get a brilliant cut grinder on 420. They look beautiful, and I haven’t heard a single negative from anyone who has used them.

But...

After reading about how people are having good results just breaking off small bits and placing them right into the vapcap, I am re-thinking my current method of grinding a gram or two into a jyarz at a time. So... it’s quite possible I don’t need a grinder, let alone a new grinder.

And...

With the new dynacoil, I’ve been enjoying concentrates with so much more ease than my previous method which involved a torch and a nectar collector. So much more ease that even an e-nail is seeming more and more unnecessary. And as for the convection aspect of the ditanium, I have the Ed’s TNT woodscents which allows for convection heated vapcaps.

So my 420 shopping plan has been dashed.

But, I can use the money I’m saving to buy more vapcap tips, or maybe even some 3rd party stems.

So...

All’s well that ends well.

I hear you! There’s something really special about the Dynavaps. I’m really excited for a Dynavap designed and sold induction heater, because I think at this point that’s the only thing I feel I still need in regards to vaping.

I would have missed it but for you. Thanks @Squiby !!! :o
So to follow up on moon gazing, I didn’t miss it (thanks again @Squiby !)...but I missed it.

I’m on the (US) east coast and it was a cloudy night before today’s rain. So I saw the moon but it was (beautifully) obscured.

Now how about those VapCaps! I’m ready for more images from @phattpiggie (and every other custom maker)!

I came across this old brand that I remembered seeing quite a bit when I was younger. I was surprised to see that it was still around and even making new products. I chuckled when I came across this on the sole:

Here's a 'shadow' version

It seems like the Dynacoil name has been around for a while?

Different products and industries, but I wonder if there are any legal implications to this.

I have yet to try the unground bud in my Omni and I tend to prefer the denser hits I get with a fine grind so I'll be curious to see how it compares.

I'll watch for a four twenty sale for the BC grinder too. I like the absence of threads and I haven't done anything with kief ever so I'm guessing three pieces will be fine.

I know you weren't asking for advice but I'd opt for a Splinter or Splinter Z if you already like your dab options. I guess an affordable combo dab option could be really compelling. I'm just not sure how the Ditanium value shakes out for just one or the other.

I do have a 2019 M and a dynacoil on the way so my guess is I'd be really happy with that combo plus either of my Splinters for dedicated on demand convection. And I'm entirely inexperienced with concentrates anyway so my opinion is uneducated.

If I had the budget for it and the time to mess with box mods I’d get a Splinter Z. As it is though it’s out of my price range to get the Splinter and a box mod for it and batteries and a charger for the box mod and then potentially have to flash new software on the mod.

However from everything I hear, if you are willing to do all that, the Splinter is a world class vape. I’m just really enjoying the analog nature of the Dynavap. It gives me the same feeling a great analog watch does, that I’m engaging with something really well designed and thought out to the last detail.

Let's all vape to the super rare Equinox Super Worm Moon tonight! Where ever you are, look up.

Thought we were gonna miss it, but our grey skies cleared up in the nick-o-time.
What a view of the moon.

Coincidence, the space station came zooming over right then too.
Good night for skywatch vapin.

Started low in the SW over the ocean, then overhead and to the NE over the continent.
Man, does that thing move.

So I’m on an unintentional vapcap and T break because of travel. I like to pretend my tolerance is low/moderate cause of the VC. My question is how long does a T break take to lower my need? Like I’ll be 4 days clean, should I push it to a week or is that still too short?

Can someone help me date these? I know with the new logo they can’t be too terribly old. Just curious.

I would like to know the answer to this also. I will tell you my tolerance has been creeping up, and I take 5 days off every week, so while you might notice some difference, it certainly won’t reset you back to zero.

They look similar to the ones sourced from Ed’s.

Without Ed’s logo (which he has on his work) however
I think they may be in-house transitional pieces (notice the reenforced metal
Caps) before DV then decided metal would be stronger, and last longer.

So the transitional phases in DV’s evolution: Glass => Wood=> Capped Wood=> Ti, SS

I think it varies by person. I know for myself that 4 days is plenty long enough. I swear I can take 2 days off and be reset to zero again, so to speak. One friend of mine says he needs a month.

Saw this need video on mag heater site.
Just posted a thread about them.(Made in EU)
There are some pretty neat temp sensing via IR sensor and temp controlled via arduino rig.
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/mag-heater-series.36991/

This IH was mentioned twice about a week ago, not in a good way.

I thought I'd have my IH too by now but this Mag heater guy is driving me crazy. It was a big mistake odering from him. I don't like to hate publicly but his unreliability is beyond acceptable limits. Like if sending ordered stuff or answering to messages is optional. No news after the 2 months announced delivery. No answers on any channel. Then an answer after I start to annoy him publicly on reddit : " I'll send it tomorrow" then disappears again. And the guy keeps on developping stuff and posting about it while he doesn't respect his commitments.

@Daprezz i had similar times ordering my mag heater....

Ordered when his listing said he had 5 ready to go. Then I waited 2/3weeks for the buttons to arrive so he could make it...

Never told me i had to closely monitor the voltage /charge as using it below so many volts would kill it... Nor did his webpage say this.. So i accidentally killed the battery on the first day using it until the battery was low...

Bought myself another battery (exact same), plugged charger in straight away to top off the battery.. and charger wouldn't charge.. I relayed the activity of the charger's lights to the seller and he said i needed a new charger...

Waited way way over a month for a new charger from him, pestering him nearer the end (while he was still posting all his inventing on his blog)

While waiting for a charger my 2nd battery 100% discharged itself inside the totally unused IH...?

Charger arrived, unit still didn't charge another new battery. Sent everything back to him...

Waited several weeks until he'd fixed the duff BMS board And sent it back to me... (He was still posting/making his new usb charger and wooden enclosures on his webpage)

Finally got it back,
He'd added a light i didn't want and the position the vc stopped in the coil was way higher and it clicked in about 1 second producing no vapor.. obviously....

I've adjusted it myself now and finally have a working IH that i hate monitoring the battery of for fear of draining it too much in an evening...

I never posted my experience because I think i was in his first round and didn't want to knobble his reputation too early... We all need a break here and there.
But reading your post so long after mine... Perhaps this guy just isn't going to cut it?

My overall opinion is that i prefer a torch anyway, but my IH doesn't seem like it's the most likely to change my mind on that... I'll try again once the DV one is released....

I finally got his entry level basic IH with pressure being the wrong guy to mess with at this period. Its pretty nice for the price if I didn't have to pay more psychologicly by harassing the guy on reddit. It's not tidy at all on the inside and the voltmeter for battery level is completely off but I'll find the equivalence with real measure. I dont know if I want to get into troubleshooting with him...
He seems more interested in his last high end models than the entry ones like mine. He's definitely a talented and interesting " mad professor" type but I guess I experienced more the mad than the professor part with his (non/mis) communication.
If someone is very patient and ready to sacrifice for vape science there is a chance to get a good device one day if you're lucky.

Load her up then get a needle and poke a hole through the middle of the your load, with no cap on if you look through your condensor you can see light through this hole.

I use an omni so I adjust airflow so it's never been an issue but this opens up airflow even more and gives me bigger clouds, it's a game changer.
