Hey dudes!!

Can't believe how much time has gone by since last update, I swear to you these days have been going by like hours lately, it's insane.

Lots of work has been happening behind the scenes to speed up production and I think it will get faster real soon, and there's also some good news...

Mike @ OGB is our new USA glass manufacturer for the next round of custom slides we have made, probably within a few months, and these will be for the next version of the G43 and will have a couple of small tweaks.

Now we have almost all of the components being made in the USA, and almost all of the vape is handmade and hand assembled, including the glass slides Mike is making those himself one by one.

This is for the near future though, just planning ahead, because we still have a whole bunch of Round 1 slides to build vapes with, we just need to build them faster!

The G43 page in our store has been updated with some new pictures and new RDA options if you haven't seen them. Right now the general public doesn't see the "Add to Cart" button because we're still working through orders for people on the wait list, and going as quickly as we can.

If you're interested in possibly buying one of these we are still keeping the wait list going and adding new people, please send me a PM or leave a note here if you'd like to be added and notified when I have one ready for you. We're currently up to #76.

I'm still working on the battery sled version and haven't given up on it yet, but I did slightly pivot and decide to stop trying to protect the holder itself, and instead just go with protected batteries. I found good LG ones for only $7 each and I'm testing things with them now to try and make a safe sled version for everybody.

Stay tuned for more updates on this, it's a top priority to make it work ASAP.

Thank you again guys for being so supportive, it really means a lot to me.

Keep staying up!!
-Bud

Is there a desktop version in plan?
I've been mulling around ideas for this too, it's very possible that I might try to make a "base unit" that you screw the RDA into and it plugs into the wall. I haven't started experimenting with this yet but have been planning it out in my head.

any chance of it being an all glass air path down the line?
It's definitely a possibility, I'd love to be able to make that happen, maybe in the portable version if I can do it!

Stu I didn't want to post these in the same comment and make it super long, but if I should have my apologies! ;-)

Here some videos on how to get started with the vape as well as how to clean it and how to assemble the heater:

I think this is a really cool design. Got to this discussion pretty late but any chance of it being an all glass air path down the line?

I missed your comment earlier....

I will tell you.....you should not have any issue with the G43 and its air/vapor path. I am super sensitive to metals in the vapor path. For a long time....I could only use my Elev8r and arizers.

The G43 is one of the smoothest vapor producers around....bar NONE! This blew me away when I first started using it...because of how strong the vapor can be (if you want) with the load right up against the heater. You would think the load is miles from the heater element when you vape hit after hit.....

So, if you have any reservations because of issues with vapor harshness/hotness/irritations.....rest assured you will not get the same experience with so many other top tier vapes.

Almost there...
Rocking my G43 today!!
Picked up some of the best Pink Kush around. if you are in Canada, look up Astro Pink!!
This is super gassy, super sticky and covered in crystals and smells like I want to live in the jar.
The vapor output and flavor is incredible.

If you are into battery powered big hitters, do not overlook this bad boy!
I am notorious for my dislike of battery powered vapes... This guy can get me quite seriously medicated off one battery, so that is a good thing!

I don't know why I keep putting it off... I need to get added to the list for the G43. Love all the videos of it.

Also @VCBud really happy you are now selling the pick tool instead of just giving it away. I really wanted another one but didn't want to get it free considering I already had one. Picked up two more and some accessories that I can use now and when I get the chance to pick up a G43!

You'll love it. Well,actually I can't say that. How about that I love mine - lol :)

It is a true "Power Ripper" yet with good taste and smooth vapor. I use a little water however some swear by a dry bong. Of my vapes, the only one i get better taste from is my FF2, but I can't really rip on it. So I love the one-two punch in my arsenal.

I think it especially shines in "sessions" when you put on some good music, chill in your chosen way, heat up the G, and by the time your flower is ground, you can begin a really nice session. I'm actually amazed it works so well, given that it is the creator's first vape.

Getting antsy...very excited. No idea where I am on the list but that's all part of the fun, eh?
Already know this is going to be a badass vape.

Me too pal, I was a little late getting myself on the list which I did in early Feb and I am number 230-240 something....if that helps.

Cross-post, but had to share. Decided to get a little crazy with flower in the G43 and shatter in the Evo. Fun times! The wood is my v1 test block tool holder with slots for ELBs, nails, G43, tools, etc. Still very much a work in progress.

Link please....can't seem to find it for some reason

Right now it's only viewable via the instagram app. The stream Summer referenced is actually gone already, but I did save off a copy just in case.

The stream from last night is still accessible. I used the G43 again, but combusted after following wattage advice from @Stu :p
12.1w is a no-go.

So far i'm loving this thing. I can clear the whole bowl in less than 2 hits and the vapor is really smooth and tasty.

Wow....can't believe you combusted....even at 12.1w. Your G must have a fairly low resistance. What is your coil Ohm reading?

Maybe start at 10.5 or 11w......11 is the stated starting point so far, some use below and many use above. I think the reason is draw power at the load. You have to pull slightly harder than normal if you are using a rig with water or a larger rig. If you are going more direct like a J Hook...should not be as much of an issue.

But if you are using a water rig....just try pulling normal up to 3-5 seconds...then pull twice as hard almost for 3-5 seconds more....you should see the vapor really build when you draw harder. Once you understand the max extraction point of draw pressure....you can adjust how you hit it to get what you want quick.

I usually pack 80-90% full in the bowl, or more if your flower is fairly dry or not as dense.

Wow, really? I run my P80 at up to 13W and preheat 3-4 minutes and have never combusted in the dang thing. I don't think I could make it combust. Very strange...I don't think i have read a single report back from owners about combusting????

You sure that wasn't 22.1W? haha

Glad you are liking it.:tup::rockon:

LOL. Stu joked that I had it at 121w.

For real though, it was 12.1.
I've been using it at 11w without issue, but wanted to see if I could clear a full load in one hit.
My plan was 11.6w.

When it combusted, it combusted against the surface of the rimmed basket screen first, not at the end closer to the heater.

Resistance is reading .86, if I'm reading it correctly @LabPong
Full load, 69% moisture, medium grind

Wow, .86 is, I believe, right in the heart of the spec Bud aim's for.

I'm with @LabPong. During beta testing he was the one that recommended sucking on the G43 like a truck stop hooker and it works. The FP SH, slow draw makes it hotter and denser vapor, it seems. G43 seems to really like a very hard draw...huge vapor and no combustion. I think its because we have a good heat sink in the glass balls and they can handle large airflow...maybe...wtf knows? haha

Now, I do NOT fill the oven full...its more like an ELB to me...I run maybe 2/3 full (maybe .2 g??) and then of course it gets much smaller after a couple of hits and a stir.

I think you may have a first there in combusting with one of those suckers.

And its really, really strange that it combusted from the basket screen end. Wow. Maybe mention this to Bud...I'm sure he would be interested.

+1 never combusted even at 13W, resistance is 0.89, 80% load, my sweet spot with my current strain is 11.5W.... more test to come ...
@ohmygodimsohigh Try with the Elev8r bowl too like @LabPong ,work great :)!

What's the deal with the Elev8r bowl? @Razshiro @LabPong

Forego loading G43 chamber and put weed in Elev8r bowl?

Yep, put the herb in the elev8r bowl, use the G43 without the basket screen, same Watt or try to up the wattage if you feel it's necessary; less cleaning, the load is far away, watch the herb (hypnotic sometimes) and enjoy :D

Yea....will keep the G cleaner and you can stir so much easier too. Though.....with your 2 pulls and its game over use....stirring is probably not even on you radar...haaa

I use the Elev8r bowl and one that is a bit smaller when I use smaller loads. You may only have to turn up the wattage slightly. The distance from the heater is greater...but you get a bigger volume of it hitting the load in a more spread out layer. So it would be interesting how it will work for the way you like to do 2 hits per bowl.

12.1w is a no-go.
I have a feeling that different units might perform differently at the same power settings, similar to the Evo in that regard. When you were hitting my G43 in Vegas, it was set to 12.1w and there was obviously no combustion events. I was surprised last night when you combusted at 12.1w, but at the same time I found it highly entertaining. :lmao:

Well...

I tried to recreate my 12.1 combustion scenario, but failed.
I got some great charring, but no combustion. (also got very high. tried very light pack to very full pack)

I also reviewed the video and confirmed that the combustion started at the rimmed screen. Neat!

I'm pretty sure it was a user error. I probably swapped to a fresh battery while the heater was warm.

I can't wait to try it with the elev8r bowl!!!
