Although my unit seems to be favoring a 1/4 section of my oven for heating. Stirring helps, but I'm still having concerns about distribution of heat.
Great to hear you are enjoying it. The hotspot might potentially be from the pipe. However, some of the early Embers did have these hotspots. The screen in the chimney really does a job at distributing the heat pretty evenly. That said, it is important to stir the bowl every 3-5 draws.
You guys might have a better sense of this, but I feel that 1 bong or joint hit is equivalent to about 3 or 4 dry flower vaping hits. Hard for me to say now that I so rarely hit fire.

For sure, I'll be doing some experimenting with some prototypes of my own to see if I can't tame the heat dispersion a bit more. With stirring it's not a big deal, maybe I'll whip up a larger diameter Stainless Steel stir tool for quickly mixing up the load

Still getting the hang of it, but seems excellent at low temp extraction, need to work with the top end of the power output to find my sweet spot. Is there any way to set the Cuboid Mini to display approximate temperatures? Or is it always going to be way off with the math?

We've found it to be way off. You'll get to the point where you can feel it on the inside of your mouth. I'll also part the file we used for the battery customization. We did it through Arctic Fox.

Lots of mind erasing going on I suppose

Why didn't we put Stu's G43 in the 5th bong intake? It would have been 4 flowerpots and a G43 but I feel like the G43 would have held its own no prob.

Regarding the Ember... I use it different than the manufacture instructs.
Their instructions describe taking like 30 hits.
Ain't nobody got time for that.

I use a technique similar to the Firefly 2 to ramp up vapor production and pull big milky hits.
I show how this technique works around the 16:30 mark in this video

Since the Ember's custom arctic fox config uses a higher wattage for the first 5 seconds of the heatup, I cheat and restart the heating cycle a few times during the beginning of the hit in order to get more convection going.

I can finish an ember bowl in about 3 hits and I still have fun using it!
I've had it now for a few weeks. I hear ya with the ramp up. Very tasty vape. If you go the sip method followed by the big draw I got bowls in 3 hits. I tossed diamonds on the lotus pad and it worked great. There is a voltage drop if you pull to hard but it recovers quick. I like that you could see the concentrate melting.. Good stuff

This vape strikes me as that nostalgic vape you'd pick up as a gift for the vaper who has everything. I think it's a lovely little vape in concept & design. And a luxury to own if you have a few extra bucks. Just my unsolicited :2c:. :DTroy/420vapezone thinks this is a cool, fun vape. He's used it in his streams several times.

What are diamonds? & how so on a lotus pad? :\

Go to my Instagram vision1034 you'll see what I mean. It's far from a novelty This is a true real deal convection vape. . I've had the Ember for a while now and I use it over some that I would never think I would.

It's hard to explain without a video how cool it. Is. That that hard part. Lol.. ✌️

I don't get paid shit to use vapes.
I get paid when people shop through my affiliate links, just like all of the other reviewers.
The Ember doesn't even have an affiliate program.

Getting paid doesn't necessarily have to mean you directly receiving money...

Free vapes, or other forms of compensation (travel, etc) would still involve you benefiting. Relationships like this need to be disclosed. Perhaps this is what he meant. Of course, I don't know if you got this vape for free, but just figured I'd help.

Hey there! I've got one of these as well. I saw this and I knew I needed to have it. I am a huge fan of wood and 510 Vapes.

I am not having any problems at all with this. Not even from the beginning. That said I am using my own mod because I prefer one with a removable battery. I keep it pinned at 30 Watts, generally start with a 2 to 3 second preheat and then draw in a pulsing technique. When you draw you will see the the glow of the heater damn a bit. That I back off and let it recover and then start another draw. I watch the chamber area and glass for vapor production and then wait for the heat. Give me a holler in private if I can help further.

I am so impressed in fact, that I am working with Josh and Mark to help them get started and figure out how to get this in the store.

@pongvape you will need to get set up with a manufacturer tag. @Stu or @pakalolo will help you. I would suggest not posting further until this is corrected.

Totally agree , been playing with mine for 5 days since it arrived. A lot smaller than I thought but no trouble getting clouds with a similar technique. Haven't gone up to 30w yet been hovering around 24/25. Tried with a grind and a small nug think I prefer the grind, also having better effect not tamping down at all . One question as a first time 510 mod user (prrl stock) battery not the longest do they increase in strength after a few charges or is performance likely to stay the same getting roughly 3/4 bowls per charge ?

Ps thanks for any help, vape is quality and mark and Josh were available for the whole process to answer questions very transparent love their product

I would expect the same performance. Which is why I like a p80 as it has a removable 18650. Funny on the grind and tamp.. I am liking a finer grind and a good tamp. Especially at the end of a bowl. That said it could have a lot to do with the material we are using and difference in our power selection.

Interesting , looking at them online. Is there a way of installing the prrl software onto the mod or are you running stock ?

Stock wattage mode. I didn't ask the if their software was proprietary (it's some arctic fox profile). I just assumed any mod would work because they sell the ember unit separately if you already have a mod. I have a mod they sent but I actually never used it. I guess I should try it to compare but whatever the case I won't be happy with an internal battery for my usage patterns.

I have been playing around with it a little more and i am started to get closer to my sweet spot wtih this guy. Here is what i do:
- you have to get a good seal between ember and the pipe. once that is done i pre-heat it a little bit then stir
-you have to slow your draw down a lot. slower the draw the better the hit. also stirring and tamping the herb down a little bit helps a whole lot.

I wish the stock wattage would go up to 35-40 watts i think that would be awesome as well!! i wonder if the software to can be tweaked to do this...but i guess i can just use another mod.
