Looking good, @Baron23 !!

Recall old pic of you in a flight suit -- so did you fly for the Navy, with those colors?

Thank you for your service

Simple is the way
Here in Canada we have Fucking Canada Post & The slow boat from China

@Mr. Gweilo 420 you should be able to pick up tracking from your local courier once it clears customs. That's how it works here anyway. Soon as it hits slow boat sender tracking stops and when it clears customs I can use the same tracking # with my local courier for updates.

A question for all BC grinder owners:

As I look at the design, it seems like material will get caught in the bottom chamber between the post sticking up from the very bottom of the grinder and where the three prongs from the middle interchangeable plate make contact with this post. This seems like it would would lead to material being smashed between these points, and eventually building up and changing their ability function.

Has anyone found this to be an issue?
No.

It looks pretty simlar to wavy's prototype purple one.

We did discuss color in dm and he did say he would try get a deeper purple more akin to that on a Davinci Miqro but came back similar to wavy's I'd say from the PIC.

Also just got a text from Royal mail telling me its on its way, for extra hype value.

I used my BCG last night with some wonderful Grease Monkey with the fine grind plate.

The grind was extremely consistent (good thing) and was indeed a true fine grind.

I did load the grinder up pretty good and yeah, you have to press the lid on and its can be a bit tough to get it to move at first (like any grinder that's basically stuffed) but once it moved a bit it took very little effort and, as said, the resulting grind was outstanding. As I believe I said somewhere else in this thread, I tend to bulk grind an 1/8 - 1/4 at a time and then Space Case it up so I do tend to stuff grinders.

I do continue to urge them to make a larger version that will provide a bit more torque and grip. I do think a 2.75" - 3" would be wonderful. If you have hand strength issues, this might give you a bit of a challenge (in which case I would recommend the New Vape Armband version of their Fine Grinder which has the best grip I have found).

It is very attractive and very effective. I think it may have looked better with the black and gold vice blue and gold.....but TBH, I'm pretty sure I have never given a single thought to the color of a grinder in my many years of life and MJ consumption! haha

What do you think of the blue and gold. I will say that the finish on mine is VERY nicely done. Even, smooth, no flaws that I can find.

I find that when really loading it up, start turning the top plate when it's only half pressed in. As you start that first turn, you can then fully seat the top plate into the middle. That initial turn is much easier, and then so is the rest of the resulting grind.

Hope that helps some!

Yup^ @Roth with the real advice once again!

I’m usually grinding .5g at a time but today I decided to push the BCG and see how it handled it. So I just crammed some big chunks in, a bit over 1.5 g, fully covered the bottom plate and did the above procedure. Bingo! Easy peasy, and this was pretty sticky flowers so I’m still left wondering “is there any Bud the BCG can’t handle with ease?!”

I think it looks fantastic! I prefer a sapphire blue top and bottom with gold, silver, sapphire blue (obviously) or emerald green grinding plates. Just my personal preference from pictures but every color would go with well with sapphire except sky blue IMO.

Adding color options like this is huge IMO, next to the magnetic aspect (#1 feature for me) and the grinds.

@Baron23, when they release the larger 4-piece down the road, you can get a black grinder then with a gold grinding plate. Sapphire blue & emerald green would also look good with black. But for now, I like the blue & gold.
Yeah, that's the ticket...just get the big one when it comes out!! haha

I like all of those color combos you mentioned....in the mean time, really nobody but me is ever going to see this grinder. Hell, at 66 y.o. I just don't have any vaping buddies. LOL

Looks great man!

how are the early adopters finding maintenance (like deep cleaning) after putting some miles on it?

also, would it be worth it to wait for 420 sales... or beat the rush and buy now?

Really? I mean, how hard is it to clean any grinder. I should think that an old toothbrush and ISO or even just hot water and maybe dish soap....once in a great while...and its clean.

No?

I just hadn't heard much regarding maintenance. Some people have said they use a toothbrush to clean and blahblah, but I just hadn't heard more - I guess that's a good thing. I have a lot of build up on my current grinder because I do not like to wash it/clean it, and now I feel like it'd be a massive chore to do so.

I apologize for asking this incredulous question. May my words no longer afflict your day, kind sir.

Nay, nay...I don't feel at all afflicted nor any need for apologies. We just discussing grinders.

But I do wonder at time at people's emphasis on coatings that may/may not keep their grinder clean.

now I feel like it'd be a massive chore to do so.

I would bet you that is hardly a chore at all....bit of ISO on a toothbrush and I bet it comes clean very easily...well, at least that's been my experience. But I would probably try to brush/scrape as much of that good looking keif off first! haha

Have a great day. :cheers::spliff:
