Unfortunately I’ve been on a long combustion hiatus as of late. Enough is enough lol. I’m ready to grab a new vape and get back on the horse. I’m interested in the new M and I’m just curious if anyone can tell me how is stacks up performance wise to the Omni Titanium. I bought an Omni TI a few years ago and absolutely loved it! Unfortunately it is the only vapcap I’ve ever tried. The M has caught my eye and it is currently on sale. Also happens to be more in my price range atm. Just wanting to know If anyone can tell me how similar they are in performance.

I ordered one (The XXL length) from Glasscharlie earlier tonight. I'm in the US, so hopefully I will have it in a couple of weeks!

Yeah, I also suspect I may like it as a Woodscents log stem as well!

Yeah, back in the day, lol...

420vapezone has published an IG stream in his story. And from 20:00 - 50:00 min., he discusses both the 2019M & the Omni (which he just got a week ago from George via Champs), in detail. And there's plenty of demo'ing of both. :spliff: It''s a nice laid back, hanging out stream. Check it out if you have time & are not anti-s. media. ;)

And puffitup has their stream also published, & they did a nice M19 presentation, too.

Monk Debate

The monks do be debatin’
Airflow and I feel like it’s a more thorough and even extraction when it’s a full bowl. That’s probably due to the added airflow though and I’m assuming the zigzags add more heat to the incoming air.

Really? Damn, I figured the Ti tip would have remained superior. Maybe the next Omni update will have an updated tip too.

Brushed Nickel Magnetic Push Pins - (12 Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LVW8945/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_4pbGCbWTK78TK

These things are great for everything, including the DV! I stash them everywhere, on my heaters, under a metallic lid, I even drilled a hole in one for my “Bud Pick”. You can remove a HOT cap before it clicks to check it or empty your cap, it pulls even stubborn(not stuck) caps off no problem. Not sure how they are magnetized but they work.

I've always liked the Ms, but my Ti tipped Vapcaps always won out, until the 19 M. The 2019 upgrades really have proplelled the M into the Ti tipped sphere of excellence. The tip design with its top notches and the thicker, deeper, channels have improved the air flow significantly. The stem is not only gorgeous but it has better twirling traction and the air port can easily be felt in the dark. But the main thing for me is the improved tip design.

The M continues to be a manual vape compared to the Omni's set it and forget it automatic air flow with its condenser/mp assembly. The ti tip features interior bowl settings which remains absent in the M. The titanium Omni is much lighter than the stainless steel M. The Omni weighs in at 12.5 grams while the M is 50% heavier at 19 grams.

I've been using mine for hard hash and I find it as nimble as the ti tipped models. I think it will be the Dynavap star of 2019 and we've only just begun.

Official IH beginning testing phase so soon is exciting news!

I guess. Instead of completing development on even a chunky cup-sized IH what I'm seeing from dv is more vapcap releases: the M, the shadow M, the green Omni, the 2019 M, etc. I'm fine with gushing about DV as a company but to date they've offered fuck all for induction heaters except for comments to the effect that there's one in the works. And they've been saying that for a while.

I feel like a lot of folks on this thread would be well served by a Fluxer or Pipes IH and I find it strange how many "I'll be so excited in three to twelve months" comments I see about some coffee cup IH from Dynavap when the existing options are so good.

My Flux Deluxe just arrived a few weeks ago and it's a heavy hitter. Since getting my Pipes Jarhead last year I pretty much never fuck with torches anymore. The Jarhead vapes a full cap in my Omni XL in about five hits while the 15mm FD blasts through it in three. It's not unlike the difference between a single/triple torch.

So if what you enjoy is waiting then by all means keep talking about the official IH from dynavap. But if what you enjoy is using a VapCap with induction heating then just order one or make your own if you're the soldering sort.

Thanks for this early review and comparison. I only own an Omni and an XL and I just preordered a new M yesterday to take advantage of the sale. I'll enjoy the improved airflow and it'll be nice to have a less pricey vc for vaping out.

I have a Flux Deluxe and the Chinese SJK IH, but I'll also be buying whatever George comes up with... so not sure where I fit in with these kinds of black and white scenarios... Shades of grey and all that.

Yeah, not trying to be too snarky. George is awesome and DV is awesome. I'm just saying that it's kinda incongruous to be all fired up for his eventual offering when there are respectable IH options already available and DV have prioritized a mess of vapcap releases in the year or more folks have been clapping their hands about the DV cup heater.

I would still like to get a portable IH, but I'm not ready to plunk my money down on whats out there. @Pipes is currently trying to halve the size of the PSM and that might be it, but I would really rather use "standard" replaceable batteries (like the Flux). If DV's is really going to be cup sized I don't have a lot of hope for it being for me.
I'm not in hurry for this, but it will have to be smaller than what is out there now, and that sadly makes standard batteries unlikely.

Added: Well, I got what is highlighted wrong. @Pipes is looking at using a smaller PSM box for plugin replacement for the JarHead, not for his portable unit. Sorry for the bad info... :(

So, my search for a smaller IH continues...
