I ended up getting an Arizer Extreme Q for my inhouse desires... and boy.. that think rocks... 1st ever desktop... sorry for the derail.. just my penny on the lookout for a GH sub.... :2c:
other than that, awaiting on my 2nd body replacement to arrive.. is currently in transit.. but my turn to a desktop vaporiser has definitely made a difference to my experience so far. It's like an achievement.. 'Own a desktop'..check and a small badge goes to your profile.. :freak: (#balloon mode off)

cheers guyzz :peace::leaf:
This is a move I've been thinking of making. If I get the funds I'm going for the cheaper one without the fan. Puffitup has it on sale right now for under 100 bucks. I really wish I had the funds right now. I think my usage is just too heavy for a portable as a daily driver.

Check out the Milaana. It's a portable that you can easily use as a daily driver. I've never had a single issue from mine and it was one of the first units publicly sold.

If you don't mind me asking, why do you prefer flower?
I think that was me... I seem to have an uncomfortable rapid heart / butterfly sensation that is not enjoyable. I went to the ER thinking I was having a heart attack, and then went thru THC withdrawal for several weeks . I switched back to flower and haven't had a problem since.

The Hopper batteries went up in price and way down in availability. A couple of months (or so) ago, site said don't even order if you are not expecting to wait 2-4 months. Okay, but now it still says the same thing.
So, 2-4 months from when?
What good is a Grasshopper without a battery? HL, at a certain point, is encouraging owners to ditch Hopper for a vape that will actually make vapor.
I think this is their most nonsensical move to date, and that's saying a lot!

Edit
On the other hand, site says SS and plain Ti Hoppers "Ship(s) Today".

I highly doubt it's a move they made on purpose. Probably having trouble with the supplier since this is probably the only device on the planet that uses this battery.

I wish they'd just come out with the wall adapter they talked about a few years back. That would be incredible.

Whether intentional or not, it is not a rational progression of events, nonsense. One simple answer is that HL hasn't got the credit or the cash to get an order of batteries going. It could be a problem with supplier, though I think a concerted effort could get this task done faster, one supplier or another. I understand 'custom run', but c'mon, this is just a battery.

Hey, order that wall adapter now, for 2023! Just send some money, we'll iron out the details later...

Yet another potential supply chain issue with HL. Their whole existence has been marked and marred by such things. And they’ve doubled the price of batteries. Outrageous.

The more things change the more they stay the same with HL. Nothing makes sense with how they run things. Talk about half baked... :peace:

... in 2023 though, we might change it to 2024, then 2025, then 2033, then 2100, ... 2023 was only an estimate after all ... sheessh .... some people and their expectations! We should get you batteries by 2025 for sure though! (perhaps maybe ...)

Just thinking...why does it HAVE to be a small penn size, i think we are all ok if they made a bigger version that was more stable and produced same quality vapor.
I think the units size has been their biggest problem.

Arizer air size just an example is a perfect size and fit well in the hand.

Grasshopper 2 ?

That has been discussed here many times.....eliminate the form factor and you eliminate a lot of design criticality incl the custom batter and perhaps even the incredibly stupid idea of using the body as the ground path.

But, even if it took 18650's, would you trust that bunch who have brought us years of absolutely ridiculous reliability and company performance to develop another product? Really?

If after these years of production, if they can't fix their testibility, reliability, maintainability issues, and their incredibly incompetent CS profile, then I don't think I want.,

Now you do understand that this is the vape company what WILL NOT engage with their customer base on forums...at all...after all this shit...still just the silent treatment?

"had a few Hopper batches with issues."

A few?

Yeah, who is the new management, what are their priorities, plans and commitments to this device's owner community.

E.G. do they plan now, for the first time, to actually engage on social media with their customer base?

E.G. can they explain...really explain....the main failure modes in this device and what they have done to mitigate these vulnerabilities (they sure have enough fucking failure and failure analysis data, that's for certain).

E.G. can they explain...really explain...the issues that they have had with testability and hence consistency. What have they changed in order to ensure that the device is indeed testable and that RMAs that ship work to spec (which sure as hell hasn't been the case).

I can go on, but IMO, Hopper Labs BADLY needs to recapture customer trust and that will take honest disclosure.....and not just a post on Reddit.

Right now, I don't believe a word that comes out of Hopper Labs.

Well, perhaps a few batches with hundreds or thousands of units. But the point is there’s an unknown and perhaps significant percentage of units that were faulty out of the gate, RMAs, and retread RMAs - and I’ll bet it’s not a very low number.

Regarding data I doubt they have deep or meaningful data for their own internal ingestion. It’s what I do professionally and work with for MANY years - BIG data - and their maturity or lack thereof does not indicate data works for them. There’s still hope and perhaps the ‘new’ management will take a deeper look into the metrics and KPIs. We’ll see...:peace:

Well, I'm not a big data guy, but used to work for ARINC who at one time led in the RMA (reliability, maintainability, availability) field.

If, after having received what must be thousands of GHs via repair authorizations, they do not know their main failure modes and causes, then they are indeed a lost cause. They should have all of the data and exhibits (failed parts) to determine failure modes and percentages and fix them under a continual improvement program. Its not theoretical physics, companies have been doing just this thing for decades.
