I really does not understand what is the point of vaping each day, except for medical reasons? You got increased tolerance and little high
Well, medical reasons are enough for many of us. I still get very high. I mix up strains for variety, but I don't have an unreasonable tolerence. I tend to self adjust, with some days heavy use and others not as much, but I vape daily and have no complaints about the quality of the high. It would be great to just vape for recreation, but it's better to not be in terrible pain. I'd rather not have to take a Service Dog with me everywhere I go, but it's needed and it helps. MMJ is like that for me. It would be nice to not need it, but I am thankful that it's available and works so well.

I vape daily and have never found I enjoyed it less with built tolerance. In fact, I've had to quit using cannabis for different periods of my life in the past, and I've come to dislike the first few weeks after I've began using cannabis again until I develop at least a little bit of tolerance (I use the term "dislike" loosely. I still enjoy the high, just not as much till I develop a tolerance).

I don't particularly always want to shoot to the moon after 2-4 hits and not be very functional for a couple hours. Once I gather a bit of tolerance, I can enjoy my high, have a larger margin of error to get to exactly the high I want for the situation, and can still get high and be otherwise functional and get things done when I want to.

This is such a great point! I could say the same is true for myself.

BTW, I just saw that World Health Organization has stopped using the term "addiction" altogether, and have replaced it in their official classifications with the word "dependence".

MJ for me is magical thing and I do not want it to make dalily routine.

I think there are many different types of magic. For one thing, different strains do very different things. And balancing things out day to day, especially with small doses, is pretty magical if you're not enchanted with your baseline state. People have very different needs. Some find the episodic "experience" application valuable, others have no interest in that and are more in need of a little correction 24x7. Great that this one plant can do so much for so many different people.

Back 30 some years ago now when working in the field I knew some self treating, micro dossing, shrinks. Truly gifted clinitions that could help people others couldn't reach. And that could manage their own psychological outlierness and stay employed by microdossing.

This probably varies wildly between individuals, but I believe that the fast rate at which tolerance or adaptation develops with cannabis is a practical problem for microdosing. On the other hand many subtle effects last much longer than generally accepted, like 2+ days.

A very good video blogger named SerpentZA who has been living in China for the last 10+ years and documented tons of important issues, mentions that anyone going to China had better be able to pass a urine test for cannabis, because the govt there is cracking down on foreigners of late and will do random tests, like in nightclubs. If you show a positive urine, it makes no difference in what jurisdiction you used it, you will be arrested, detained for 3 weeks, then deported. The Chinese consider Westerners dopers and degenerates. How strategic of them to send us all that Fentanyl to be pressed into fake Oxycontins, like the ones that killed Prince. And I guess they see all the bongs and vaping devices they sell us (with govt subsidized cheap shipping) as also part of a reverse Opium War.

In passing, SerpentZA goes into a tirade about how he drinks to get drunk and has smoked weed to get high, and he thinks all this talk about "medical use" is total bullshit for 90% of users. I was pretty disappointed to see this. Because, for one thing, there are lots of bona fide medical users, and I think that being aware of the medicinal side of cannabis makes all users handle it with a bit more respect and moderation. And for another thing, regardless of whether that's an effective strategy or not, I think that all drug use is an attempt to repair something. And, BTW, as we get older, there's evidently more and more stuff that needs repairing.

I vape in high risk situations. Skiing for sure. Biking too. Not while road biking, but on closed trails/bikeways (ok, sometimes on the road too, but only short hops between trail heads). I prefer the "enlightened high tolerance feeling" vs the "mind-altering experience" when doing these activities.

My personal way of lessening any negative feelings from cannabis is to stop vaping/smoking at the exact moment in time that I feel like my tolerance is noticeably higher. When I start to have to use much more than normal to feel the effects that I am looking for, I do a quick week or so of cold turkey and I am right back to where I need to be!

As a medical patient I'm really not looking get high. Just distract from my health condition. I don't feel medically user are addicted more dependent on it. It improves my life where most addictions have opposite effects.

Unfortunately I have always had a very high tolerance even when months or years pass. I don't vape every day but sometimes several days in a row- usually in the evening instead of when out and about.
But I don't see any problems with vaping daily. It's interesting how many of the old street drugs like LSD and ketamine are now being repurposed for psych issues. I think cannabis would have been in this situation if it was more easily controlled by pharmacy companies so they could make money.
