I have a cocobolo stash on the way and was wondering how the lid is attached? From pics ive seen, it looks like an Allen screw but im not sure. I was just curious because ive owned dugouts in the past and the lid screw was always the weak point.
The lid is secured with a torx screw. I can't remember the exact size but it might be a #8 or 10. I have 3 Dynastashes and haven't had any trouble. If your screw loosens up a bit, you can tighten it up tighten it up with a torx screwdriver.

Hello all,
For people interested on a inexpensive 14mm water pipe adapter, I realized today that the Helix taster bowl from Grav fit perfectly with the Dynavap tips. On grav website it’s only 10$.
It’s long enough to heat the Cap without burning your finger.
Sorry if that have already been mention before!

@3dfx-glide if you have torched the screen clean... That can shrink it in my experience.

I use the SS sreens myself as i find they last longer.
But both types of screen have their fans here on the forum.
Some consumer’s don’t use screens?

I don’t like salad with my herb?

I agree with you @mrb for what it’s worth?
The VAPCAP is important for CIVILIZATION to exist.
SCREENS are CIVILIZED for some!
I like espresso some like Coffee Juice?

SS is my go to as well?

Quick Question, Is the M body or SS tip magnetic?

The only thing magnetic (responsive to a magnet actually or ferromagnetic ) in the M is the clicker inside the cap. The SS body and the cap itself are not ferromagnetic.

From my experience I can say the cap itself is magnetic not only the clickers also the body from the normal M is magnetic but very weak but the body from the Shadow M is more responsive to magnets, I use on mine a 3mm diameter magnetic ball to cover the air port for use with a water piece works very good.

I have never played with a Shadow M on a magnet, and after doing so I do see that there is an attraction, but it seems to be the coating and not really the steel. Both the black body and the black cap respond minimally to a magnet. Such is not the case for my 2017 M. Does your round magnet work on a 2017 or earlier M?

The more magnetic effect from the Shadow M is created by the coating process here the post from @VapCap

So let's talk a bit about the process and the characteristics. The process of darkening metal to create the ShadoW M utilizes a molten salt bath. Yes, this is literally salt that has been melted and yes it needs to be very hot to melt.
when the steel or stainless steel (because these devices are constructed from medical grade Stainless steel)
is subjected to these temperatures in the molten salt, both carbon and nitrogen are diffused right into the metal.
This both darkens the metal surface and hardens it. In addition, it also changes the magnetic permeability and lowers the friction coefficient.

my Shadow M cap sticks very good to a dyna magnet with a little lower strength als the side who the clickers sit. I can test this with the magnet ball not with the 2017 M, I have given away my M 2017 and 2018 to a friend but to the 2018 M I can say that it sticks also to the body but very weak.

Brushed Nickel Magnetic Push Pins - (12 Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LVW8945/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_4pbGCbWTK78TK

These things are great for everything, including the DV! I stash them everywhere, on my heaters, under a metallic lid, I even drilled a hole in one for my “Bud Pick”. You can remove a HOT cap before it clicks to check it or empty your cap, it pulls even stubborn(not stuck) caps off no problem. Not sure how they are magnetized but they work.

I'm considering the VapCap for traditional (moroccan) hash.

Isn't it easy to burn your hash with these torchlighters though ?
And how well can you clean the melted hash from this unit?
I only ever tried hash, well pollen, in my Vapcap a few times. I didn't tolerate the hash well. But from my memory and general understanding (at least I think), hash takes a higher temperature to vaporize than flower. I think it would be much harder to combust with hash in the vapcap. Im sure I was regularly going past the click, and never felt close to fire. I got better, more consistent hits actually, rarely harsh unless monster, which is much more doable with a full hash pack.

Saying that, a full pack wasn't anywhere needed to get clouds. Just crumbs would yield flower sized hits. Like I say, burning and combustion was never a fear. You aren't torching it directly, and flower is not burnt by the heat so no way hash will be easily either.

But alas there that one negative that you have brought up- cleaning. Hash=mess, gauze clogged quick. Inside of tip gummed up. If you can live with that it's all good.
