I've been loving NBA2k11 lately, and am pumped for Fight Night Champion. Blur is a fun racing game, but the online play gets a bit insane.

Any Little Big Planet 2 players out there? I didn't have a PS3 so I didn't get into the first one, but LBP2 seems like a great companion to another of our hobbies...

Red Dead something something and Black Ops occupy most of my game time, I also have been playing Arkham Asylum and Command and Conquer: Red Alert. I plan on picking up Need For Speed:Hot Pursuit as I really enjoyed the orginal back in the '90s, I was wary of Little Big Planet but I think i'm gonna have to pick it up.
Cheers!

Does Little Big Planet have a online mode?

Ia! Ia! Vapor Fthagn!
a good majority of Little Big Planets fun factor is its online mode. the game itself comes with 30 or so levels. The rest of the content is user created and accessed via the online mode. there are some 3 million + levels on the first little big planet. You can access all these and any new content. which i think is a big plus on their part, making all the old games backward compatible with the new game. So it would be hard to not find something to do on that game. It is also fun to play 4 player online. I'm picking up a copy of LBP2 when i can afford it.

anyone gonna be getting marvel vs capcom 3 next week?
I got it..wow the colors man.
This is an awesome game to play with a friend, not so fun alone. Haven't played it online yet though.
The cool thing is I can whoop on Spiderman with Ryu which is just fantastic. It's got some of the coolest fighting visuals i've seen, the only one that comes close visually is BlazBlu.
It probably won't make it into my normal rotation, NBA 2k11 holds the local multiplayer crown right now, but its definitely worth renting at least.

COD:Black Ops is my most played. Fun as hell online with friends who are into it. Once you get some decent ability in this game you can really have fun working together with friends.

Starcraft 2 is second. This game is pretty fun to watch and play. There are guys who simply cast SC2 game replays like sports casters and it's gaining a lot of momentum as an e-sport with sponsors and tourneys. I enjoy this game because of the different strategies you can try out on opponents. It's an awesome feeling when your strategy works!

NBA 2k11 is third. Man talk about some fun...this game is the most fun I have with local multiplayer. Dunking on a good friend feels so great! Especially when you jam after stripping the ball away from him.
Good times, good trash talking times....

Dead Space 2: A fantastic single player experience, reminded me of the good old days when games were exciting just as single player, like Half Life. Very creepy, very very gorey. Don't be afraid to die just to check out your death animations, some of them are awesome!

Dragon Age: Origins: A good RPG if your into RPGs. From the creators of Baldur's Gate so get ready for a lot of magic.

Skate 3: When I wanna chill out this is a cool game to jam to your own tunes and just bust some tricks. I really like using my own soundtrack it makes the game way cooler.

Tiger Woods 11: This is pretty damn fun with a group of 4 people. The cool thing is how long it takes so you got time to chill and smoke while the others take their swings. Plus you only need 1 controller for everyone but you can utilize 4 if you have them. (Why monopoly on the 360 doesn't have this ability is beyond me).

BlazBlu: For any of you who played this game...quite simply it's insane. A Japanese anime fighter through and through. I never really know what's going on in this game but its a really heavy fighter with lots of techniques in use that I have no idea about.

Tekken 6: Now this is my kind of fighter! It's not super fast-paced and doesn't overwhelm you with visuals. The combos and controls are simple, more about timing than sequence really. I like tekken because I feel in control vs other fighting games where I'm not really sure.

Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom: What a weird game this was. I played a little bit but never really got into it. It seems like it would be alright, basically you control this big ogre dude who helps you get through obstacles you normally cant. It's not too bad.

Fable III: This game was pretty awesome. Lots of little detail make this game unique and personable. If you dig fable you should check this out, but then again if you dig Fable you've known about 3.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit: This game is awesome! I HATE racing games and I love this game! It's one of the only racers that I enjoy besides Mario Kart. My only gripe is no local multiplayer support.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood: Now I was going to play this game a while more but the controls felt so incredibly clunky that I gave up. I cant stand the controls here.

Halo Reach: Pretty damn awesome if you like halo. The single player experience reminded me of Halo 1. Multi-player has changed quite a bit Admittedly I am way more into COD online but halo was a nice change.

I'll have bulletstorm pretty soon and will post my thoughts on it.

Well I suppose that's it for now I can't think of any I really play other than those.

Just d/l'd Hard Corps: Uprising for the 360 arcade. I think its on PSN, too. Basically Contra for the NES with HD visuals. Awesome stuff. I think it's even made by the same people as some of the contra games... Been playing a little tonight with my brother online and it's really bringing back the nostalgic feelings of old. Feels just like 20+ years ago...old great times with NES Contra.

Cheers,
mudstar

EDIT: It is made by Konami, and is even a sequel to the Sega Genesis Contra: Hard Corps. Not sure why Contra isn't included in the title of this one, even if only to sell more copies with the name recognition. At any rate, pick it up if you like Contra in the least.

I picked up Just cause 2 for PC and have been having a right laugh with it. If anyone is after a decent sandbox action game with very nice gfx, I'd certainly recommend it.

well, it doesnt really fit the topic, since it isn't out yet, but holy shit will i be playing it when it is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXzPYIqEpoU

Love the Elder Scrolls games, and this one looks like a real step up from the rigid animations of the past 2. I just hope theres full 3D support :o

but, as far as games currently playing... well i tried test drive unlimited 2 and thought it was one of the shittiest and most annoying games i've playing in a long time. mediocre and stiff racing controls, tied together with some of the worst cutscenes and voice acting known to man. oh yeah, and cops that did absolutely nothing to me for speeding or even ramming them multiple times. why even bother having cops and marking them on the radar then?

got a new graphics card so i've been playing some of the typical "wow, graphics!" games, Crysis + Warhead and Metro 2033, i've gotten a way into the game and its actually OK, better than i originally thought. I still dont like the hit detection, and how i have to shoot an unarmored guy 2x in the head to kill him, but the game has some great atmosphere and epic moments.

Just got into the new DLC for New Vegas. Anyone else got it? Pretty cool so far, I like the new puzzly gameplay aspects. Feels a little more like a System Shock/Deus Ex game, slightly less action.

Just got Bulletstorm for Xbox360 and I haven't been able to stop playing it! It is like Unreal Tournament (but the bots are twice as intense) and the weapons and kill techniques are crazy cool. :o

Highly recommended! ;)
