Multi-brand HEALTHY RIPS FURY

Maybe it's because too many of us are enjoying them too much and there's no real problems to hash out? Still you raise a good point, being near the top helps folks wondering by get on board...... Keeping the pump primed as it were?

Maybe we should work this in shifts? Some fraction of us put the F2 down for each day and post? It's my idea so I don't have to do it..........

OF
1-2-3 not it!

Actually, great timing! My F2 has been getting a workout lately, it's such a wonderful device!

"Two great minds, and but a single thought"?

I used to really enjoy that thought. Then I uttered it at work and 'the new guy' (Polish) got a funny look and burst into laughter. Seems his grandmother (from the 'old country') had a favorite version: "Fools seldom differ", you choose........

OF
I'll be your fool Jill, I like how you think, or at least I suspect we'll laugh a lot!

For what it's worth, I had heard it as "fools seldom part ways", but that was after many shots of vodka and Cytrynówka. They say my Polish needs a lot of work, but I have the spirit!

As of late, my small Fury seem to have gotten large, should I see my optometrist. LOL

Sounds like a super Saturday for many of us. I received my (lightly used) F2 yesterday - it was a glass bundle sans mouthpiece which I'd already bought and everything newly wrapped - and did several burnoffs. I need to work last night so I didn't try it. It was a wake and bake morning albeit busy and used the standard MP and the F2 doesn't disappoint. Since I have a Snap (Fury clone) the performance is the same, which is phenominal. Really. And I deduced that the contouring or molding (or whatever it's called) is the issue with the Snap as the original Snap MP and the new HR one fit perfectly fine and snug(!) on the F2. So far so good!

Since I chose the F2 bundle I chose the WPA and Bubbler 2.0 which I just tried with some success. I think I need to up the temp a bit since i'm around 360-370F with the standard MP. I'll try again later - for science :). While I this was going on I was texting with a buddy who also has the F2 and who introduced me to it and HR, which is how I found out about the Fierce pre-launch. I told him that I was literally amused staring out two Furies, two MPs, all accessories, new glass and some fresh ground Blue Cheese, and he said to me,

"I couldn't think of anything better to have two of". And he's right! They're just awesome! I'm relegating the Snap to glass duty but won't preclude the F2 from glass entirely. I miss my Ti Grasshopper, and that would be great to have two of if only reliable yet mine is in Purgatory (aka RMA), yet the day it died is the day I bought my Snap. Having two working vapes is new for me. And I really gravitate to portables too. Life is good!

pistol packing duo
LOL. I picture two people with vapes holstered at their sides approaching each other with twitchy fingers - a dual vape duel!

Happy weekend. :peace:

EDIT: and I forgot to mention that I was gifted two mixed cases of very good wine (mostly French and Italian) during the day. So life is indeed good.

Just dropping by to say the obvious...Partner (who was gifted the F2 for medical purposes) is loving this so much! Heat up time is wonderful and it's just so reliable! We are having a slight issue with the MP coming loose and not snapping into place but we can get it to connect after a few tries. NO biggy! Also, he is VI (visually impaired) and the screen is just the right size for him to see. Thinking of upgrading in the far future to the big brother for battery/size reasons but that's still up for debate. Overall, loving it so much!

So basically--thanks to all of you who gave me advice on my first posting, and to everyone who created this thread and made it such an easy choice for me! :D :peace:

I use my Fury2 every weekday.
Ditto. And now that I have two Furies, it's double the pleasure. :brow:

I tried the Bubbler 2.0 again last night. I think my grind is a bit too fine and I did bump up the temp somewhat with about the same success, which was moderate at best. The draw resistance was increaseed with it which I wasn't that thrilled with. After getting my Snap, and now the F2, I've been spoiled by the low draw resistance after tugging on a Grasshopper for a couple of years prior to the Furies; the Hopper's draw resistance is much greater IMO. Suffice it to say I woke up with a mild sinus headache due to the increased draw resistance with the bubbler.

But I'm not giving up on it. I do however need to decrease consumption a bit and continue studing for my certs so I'll stick primarily with the standard MP which has been my daily method anyway. I haven't tried the WPA alone and I don't have any big glass, yet (hehe), but it's another option with either of my dueling and dual vape units.

Happy Sunday to all. :peace:

I have only used the WPA ever and I'm just on my second fury vape,... I've never even tried the native mouthpiece LOL , really no need as that wpa fits every need

A fine grind would allow less air to flow freely; a fine grind may also cause one to pack it in a little more?

You should be fine with a medium grind, and advoid those sinus headaches? You could try to aerate
The fine load with a blunt pin, or small poker.

Bump the temp down a bit, a tastier experience.

actually a fine grind allows more air through the load. a clump of bud , air only hits the edges and tries to work into the compact structure... opening up the bud via grinding allows more surface area and air

Good point. It's all relative? If you consider a stream bank: Big rocks offer little obstruction, smaller ones have more but smaller passages, gravel effectively fills in some/most of those holes, sand will jam up the works?

How effective the load is also depends on moisture I think. Not only does this make it more 'springy' and therefore leads to a potentially tighter packing and blockage, but the water is evaporated off long before we vape, potentially making less resistance as the material shrinks back.

Another thing can happen in (true) convection vapes. The hot air cuts a 'chimney' of sorts (perhaps better described as a flue) which the hot air sees as 'the path of least resistance', making it even worse and leaving herb elsewhere shielded from the heat (not vaped). This became a real issue with Cera. TVs earlier models had longer/narrower loads. Cera could get weak (less vapor, more hot air, less resistance) then suddenly 'blow through' if you didn't pay attention. Stirring fixes this of course.

Also, the loose grind will clump instantly into a ball anyway after first hit so that negates the grind somewhat, but still works quicker than relying on taking apart the whole bud with heated air. I have some cannabis that clogs my grinder and I've been just putting a few pieces in the wpa and vaping that... after a while a can dump and finger grind it up finer for a few more pulls ETC ... really I just like a real fine consistent every time grind to put in @ known amounts ETC

More good points, which I agree with (or I wouldn't think they were good???). I've used the 'hit it a bit then grind it' technique, it has it's strong points.

Mostly, like you it seems, I'm driven by wanting to control the potency of the load. I want to have the same THC per load, like you?

The 'gumming up the grinder' problem is usually with damp (not well cured) herb. I find if I put it in an open jar on top of my router (warm there) for bit it will fix the 'sloppy grind' problem if I have one. FWIW I also am a fan of shredders as opposed to grinders. I'll take a more random size (within limits) in exchange for not crushing/cutting the herb. A personal call, of course.

Regards to all.

Indeed! That's why I opted to spend $10 more to get the WPA and Bubbler 2.0 - and use the glass with my Snap since standard MPs don't fit securely on it. I may try the WPA for the first time later. Hehe.

Actually it was somewhat packed in but not too tightly (to allow airflow) but it started falling out the stem during draws if I pulled the bubbler out to preserved material. Initially I wasn't inserting it all the way down but did on subsequent pulls. A courser grind will resolve it yet I won't use glass all that often.

I've been prone to sinus headaches for many years, exacerbated by combustion. I never smoked cigs but combusted for more years than I care to admit. Vaping is SO much better and healthier for me as I get far fewer headaches. And I don't use herb specifically for that however there can be a case made... Nuff said. :leaf::peace:

Just my :2c: on the grind size...
When I first got my Brilliant Grinder, I went a little crazy testing different grinds with each of my Vapes.

Ultimately, with the Fury, I found very little difference with grind size. The only discernible difference was with the fine grind my nose would occasionally get a little itchy. Maybe a few tiny particulates were getting through the screen?
Whatever the reason, seems to me that the Fury works basically the same regardless of the grind.
Note my testing was done with the native mouthpiece with a full oven - no tamp.

I agree - very little difference for me when there's material in the chamber. Too fine in a glass stem may come loose if not completely tamped down, which was possibly my issue with my first couple of bubbler attempts. I'll get the hang of it but again I'll reserve glass for occasional use.

Too fine in the chamber can indeed go through the screen. It does with me occasionaly and I clean out my native MP often - since I use it all the time :). :peace:

Except for the discreteness need when out in public, which is pretty much the only time I use my Fury 2. The glass wpa mouthpiece looks a lot more like "drugs" to the nosey "call the cops" types, when I'm out and about.

Listen to the monkey, you won't be sorry

OK. I did listen to the monkey. I ordered F2. Plus glass mouthpiece, screens, liquid pads and dosing capsules. And now I know. Love the possibilities with this vape. Yes, it's indeed a personal vape. It's an electric vapman kind of feeling!

I have my on demand vapes, but now and then you like to session!

The og mp is perfect for on the go, using the dosing capsules makes it even more portable. Good to me!

And then the glass mp. That I like. A lot. Using it hamsterwise, so smooth and great tasty flavor!
OK. Thank you HR.

I'm not really a H2O kind of guy. But now. I wanna. Wanna order WPA + Bubbler.
I won't be sorry?
