One thing to remember before embarking....it doesn't need much iso!

I cleaned mine once with iso after an excessive dab ran over. It took a lot less than I thought.

I suggest using a syringe or something to add it slowly.

I did my first EVO dab :D. So far it's great , and strong :science:.

Super lemon haze live resin. It had a notable lemon taste, which I actually wasn't expecting (so imo it's confirmed quality resin). Lots of flavor ... and smooth with the graphite Precision honeycomb hydratube (no coughing). Two draws with no toast or burning taste at all .

Thx @newVaper420 :leaf:.

I ended up doing three microdabs with the EVO last night over the evening. Each one was a slightly different method and temp and I did get some toastiness in the second draws of the last two microdabs. With some more experimentation and tweaking, I expect to nail down the method to get where I want with dabs, the EVO and great flavors :). The experience was very enjoyable overall.

I did notice today a slight hydratube residue from the sessions yesterday, and clean air draws from it have a similar slight toastiness flavor. So that can definitely impact a session

(and I'm sure it did last night). Plus it's a reminder to keep one's glass clean, especially after toasty or burnt draws if you're a flavor chaser:myday:.

The super lemon haze live resin was a very enjoyable choice and good decision. I really like sativas and this was nicely stimulating both in physical and cerebral ways. I had an abundance of energy and did some things around the house :). Definitely recommended experience.

Cheers

Almost there...
I was setting up some of my older glass and noticed my original Swagger Glass Limited Edition HydraTube sitting on the shelf. My first thought was that I never use it and should probably sell it.

Then I took it down and hit it on my EVO and my next thought was, No Fucking Way!!!

The EVO is a solid performer that is in daily rotation.
Most of the time it is used inverted for the duration of the hit only.

I still dream of a digital EVO...

Does anyone know where the cheapest place to get a dry mouthpiece is? I’m pretty close to just bending a non diffused downstem as anything more than $7 for a joint and bent piece of glass is ridiculous, even more so direct from China lol. I’d prefer the “civilized” version but I’m ok with wide mouthpieces too. I found a vendor on DHG with $6 ones but you have to order 2. I might just do that.

Dry is doable!

Water path is smooth as well and very CIVILIZED?

EVO is decent and will get you to level of NIRVANA + KURT COBAIN is missed!

I can vape from a BonG however small mouthpiece is Da Bomb!

Nice, and great story! I concur as I used a hydratube this weekend for the first time on the EVO with some flower and it was a revelation :whoa::love: (I used the Helio dry mouthpiece for the first few terp draws before changing to the hydratube). I waited so long because the graphite Precision honeycomb hydratube I selected was on backorder
shrug.gif
.

I tried the same set-up again this afternoon with only flower and the results are definitely top notch; I first start with two to three draws on the Helio dry mouthpiece with fresh flower at 11 o'clock. The flavor and terps are unmatched. Then I stir/shake the ELB, change over to the hydratube with the EVO at 1 o'clock on the dial or higher and the conditioned vapor is so much softer on the esophagus and lungs . Plus the vapor is denser :science:. This hydratube tames vapor and produces the big clouds with minimal effort. Keep it slow on the draw, the EVO is that efficient :brow:. It's been pulling big clouds draw after draw at the higher temp (still sub 400F) and has no problem keeping up with the hydtratube conditioning. Excellent and as @ataxian mentions, CIVILIZED.

The EVO just keeps on impressing me and I'm still trying new things with it. It's a very flexible vape.

For on-demand fans, the EVO can be easily treated like an on-demand vape. Simply pull out the ELB between draws. I do that, Seibo recommends that method and the it's excellent. The flower is essentially only heated by convection, just put the ELB back in the EVO and wait 5-10 seconds and take another draw. There's no big wait, no conduction going on and I find this method the softest for vapor production ;). What's everyone here doing? Pull the ELB out between draws or leave it in? Let us know.

The new graphite Precision Honeycomb is the lovely hydratube I'm using, here's a link to a picture again if interested :).

FWIW @lazylathe I was going through old posts in this thread recently and came across one mentioning that Seibo Shen, the driving force with VapeXhale, has said he's against digital temp integration in the EVO and it wasn't coming. He called it needless electronics and less reliable than the analog temp dial setup. That was a few years back fwiw.

I gotta say I agree with Seibo; the analog temp dial works great for me and I always like added reliability. I still find I can get an accurate estimation of temperature with the EVO using one of the insulating sleeves that shows temperatures by position on the dial. For example, I recently vaped some flower ending at about the 1 o'clock position, which on that sleeve temp scale is ~375F, and there was still some green in the AVB. That's pretty good agreement in my experience with evaping reports and other similar evapes. Besides, with all the different evape designs as well as different temp sensor integration, I never really use the same temp settings from one type of evape to another (similar, but not the same). I've observed and experienced different optimal temp settings across portable evapes, as well as with the EVO and the Flowerpot. Digital temp integration isn't the end-all-be-all, though it looks nice. That's just my opinion, YMMV :peace::).

Enjoy the Sunday eve with the EVO :leaf::)

This is the first time I have heard of this idea. I have trouble with harshness for the last few draws. I always use dry hydratube only. This idea sounds like a winner.

Not really used my Helio much prefer a hydrotube or my DH gate mobius.

What temps are people with rosin using??.

I need to get me a tube! Reading this thread has gotten me all excited :D I've had the EVO for a year and a half now, and using mostly just dry pieces or small water pipes...closest I've come to a real hydratube is just connecting a whip to my bong. Are the dhgate mobius matrixes just as good as the real deal?

By the way, what consistency of concentrates do you guys like to use in your EVO? I always have trouble loading those nails, it's like always either too sticky or too crumbly and I make a mess.

"Nautilus" with ice pinches is a big bong that lets the Evo's high performance shine:

I don't care how much you vape, this combo will get you wrecked.

1:30 4 colas 62% cure is my aim!
11:00 4 ROSIN

Do what work’s in your case?

We are all different, however with the EVO these are my setting’s !
I was using rosin at full power turned it down to twelve last night.

I keep thinking about getting an enail but I don't think I need too with this thing.

I'm just getting used to the burn off thing any tips anyone???..

Cheers

@Mr Turnip i have every nail known to humans!
The QUARTS nails are my favorites for ROSIN.
EVO is very decent for Flower and ROSIN.
This is my opinion as a MEDICAL CANNABIS CONSUMER.
We are all different?

Thx for letting us know how you use the ELB in the EVO  @Stu, @MonsterWithoutBorders, @Brewervapesalot and @lazylathe. It's great to hear from owners how they are using the EVO; there's lots to learn from you all and so many ways to use it. The EVO is a very flexible and powerful unit :ninja:.

Not really used my Helio much prefer a hydrotube or my DH gate mobius.
Sorry to hear the Helio isn't doing it for you. Is the vapor too strong? At least the Helio is a new release so you can move it on with minimal cost if you wish.

Nice! Hydratube shopping time is a good time :D. I'm new to concentrates but I'll let you know when I try a few more types and get some more experience under my belt.

My new shopping list:

1. Hydratube
2. Quartz nails
3. Rosin
Nice shopping list . So many hydratubes to choose from, it's a lot of fun picking one to go with :sherlock:. Let us know what you choose, why, and what you think when you get it and how it compares to others. I found the following VapeXhale videos helpful in explaining the hydratube options. After a bunch of thought and reflection (and changing my mind a few times) I went with the Precision Honeycomb for my first hydratube. I enjoy the dry Helio mouthpiece for flavor and wanted something different but also middle ground in the available hydratube line-up. The Precision Honeycomb is a Goldilocks hydratube option (it sits mid-way in the VapeXhale line-up for conditioning); it has more vapor conditioning than the Precision Turbine as well as Hydrabomb, and it has less conditioning than the full size Classic hydrabtube options. I decided not to get one of the largest (Classic) or smallest (Calyx) hydratubes for my first water piece. By going with a middle-ground hydratube, from there with some use I'll be able to figure out which way to go for a second hydratube purchase (if I want another ;)). I'd love to get a collection at some point but that's a luxury for me. YMMV. Enjoy the shopping. Good luck!

I went with boro nails for the EVO since I'm going to go with an inexpensive ultrasonic cleaner off of Amazon. I can use the money I save on my first boro nails purchase to get that machine.

I look forward to hearing what you think of rosin and how it compares to other concentrates you've tried. I want to try rosin (haven't yet) but I have a lot of product to get through first so it could be a while.

Fellow perspective Evo buyers!!!

I was going to wait until the 4/20 sale to buy, seems like 20% off is the standard.

BUT ALAS! I found instagram!!!

Sign up through their link and you get a 20% off over 150 code (which is like...most stuff)

I’ll share the code if you’re lazy through DM. I don’t know rules.

@O-G-Reg, congratulations on the order. The EVO is great. Let us know the whole story and how it goes.

I'm back on the EVO this Friday now :peace:. Tonight I've started with my favorite "experience". Fresh Strawberry Cough sativa flower with the Helio dry mouthpiece at 11 o'clock on the EVO dial. Amazing terp flavors. And it's a "big" experience. Frankly, the biggest experience in my strain collection. So awesome :science::science:. It's a bracing cerebral high at times, with euphoria. My fave :science::science:. And it's always best as the first experience off a T-break :leaf::):clap::rockon:. (For those following me, this was more impressive than the microdabs last week ;)) . The spectrum of flower vaping is unmatched to me so far, though I expect to explore that in more detail ;).

This batch of Strawberry Cough is amazing to me :). Check out this small popcorn nugget from my current batch. It dried out but I rehydrated it with Boveda packs and recently pulled this out from my mason jar to vape. Impressively frosty, especially for a strong bracing sativa in my experience .

I'm about to use the Precision Honeycomb hydratube again and haven't mentioned yet that these smaller Precision hydratubes don't take much water at all, like notably less than an ounce :whoa:. Combined with the biggest conditioning honeycomb diffuser it's a fascinating experience

@macbill, thx for the advice ! That variable is on the list to try soon ;).
