Etsy Glass

Picked up a 18" beaker and carbon filter/Expander from simpleglasstubes the other day after my SYN mini developed a hairline fracture. Shipping was super fast. Placed the order on Saturday and there was a package at my door on Wednesday. The joint that joins the downstem fixture to the beaker is pretty sloppy but its not something I particularly mind. Glass is super thick; I'm amazed at how much glass I got for the cost. It's a little bit big but I love it. The carbon filter is also great. He also upgraded the slide from the one pictured to a much nicer one.

Very happy with the whole experience.

You might be in for a bit of a wait.
Ray's a great artist but not the best on customer service from my experience.

Thanks, Lo. She thinks it's so beautiful she doesn't want to use it.

picked up a cheap inline bubbler from nabyglass on etsy. should be here shortly. :p

nice, i've been real happy with mine. the welds could be cleaner, which i've found makes those parts a little tougher to keep clean. But, i thought it was a good deal and hits nicely, feels good in my hands too. I like it as a DBV mouthpiece as well as with oil, i got a matching vapor globe for mine.

I love the stuff I got from SimpleGlassTubes too. I actually mentioned in my order that I was looking to buy a diffused downstem of a certain length, that I'd buy it in the future. He actually threw TWO downstems into the order, at no cost. Superlative guy...Girl?

I'm starting to fall more and more for the centre one myself. I don't see how one keeps that smaller chamber and perc clean on the last one tbh. (tips anyone?)

But it seems Ouroboro doesn't ship globally while Glasstafarian does and for free, plus his piece is about 70 bucks cheaper than the other two *sighs*

Does anyone know of any good European blowers that make similar pieces in about the same price range (<250US$) perhaps?

edit:

Not sure if that chamber is really that large or just looks that way, they should stop angling those display photo's:

Has anyone ever heard of Karl Termini?

I just discovered his studio in Amsterdam, but he's originally from New Jersey.

I kinda like this little bubbler, just not sure if it's mostly because it was made locally.

Price is 140,-, about 195US$

That's incredibly unfortunate to hear; IMO, Etsy provides a great environment for contacting artists (or studios) directly, further, the prices are consistently hard to beat. While at first I think about the loss this provides for buyers, I feel particularly sorry for artists and sellers who gain great business on Etsy, this thread is a testament to that.

Get those last purchases in now it seems :ugh:
