As our friend @ataxian would say.

Civilized.

But I'm with @Dynalowrider go anhydrous. The longer vapor path cools, and if you have a glass of water nearby your throat never need get dry-plus you can collect the honey.

When I ordered it I was thinking that I would finally be "civilized"!:brow:

I will try it without water even though the vapour really feels lovely and cool with water. And to be completely honest the taste of some strains is just a bit too yucky. Water helps with neutralizing the yuckiness

I am always skeptical when seeing new "test results", I've seen too many "studies" where these are nothing more than reefer madness 2.0.
Sly, lying propaganda camouflaged as science.
Here's one example:Major UK study finds using cannabis does not reduce IQ among teenagers
Being from a different part of the PALE BLUE DOT we all live on in the galaxy somewhere?
CARL SAGAN had a very high IQ?

He consumed CANNABIS before writing?

Their are many examples!
CANNABIS is missed judged.
You are a black t-shirt slacker or a academic type?
No one owns CANNABIS!

REEFER MADDNESS was a propaganda film by UNCIVIL people? (Easily Programed)

We are in a new more interesting part of history!

Do you know when VAPCAP will offer an induction lighter?

Within the next couple of days I'm going to pick up my first Omnivong, it will be a complete new experience after the da Vinci ascent.
Lots of things learn yet.
I want to get a smooth as possible experience, And I believe (after doing some research) that passing the vapor through water will get me this smooth vapor.
This is also underway

So I'm curious to know what you mean by " you can collect the honey "?

you mean like this?

I haven't been much of a dabber. The only time I have used one was at my friends house which uses an e-nail, etc.

I just got the dynacoil today and after 2 small dabs. I can say WOW, I am going to be buying some live resin every now and then when needed. For $25 ($48 since I got the kit with the 20% off) and it being titanium would seem like that will be a good investment for a long time.

I'll probably just get another Dynacoil during the 4/20 sale, just so I can have one being cleaned while I use one.

Yeah, it’s fairly different from the Ascent. It is still primarily conduction heating, but since it heats up and cools down so quickly you can use it a little at a time; more on-demand. Plus I can get bigger, harder hitting draws from it than I’ve ever got from the Ascent.

Like the Ascent, toward the end the taste can be less nice, but I think that’s just built into extended conduction heating.

Next time VAS rears it’s ugly head I’d also look into something that uses mostly or all convection heating (the VapCap has some, but it’s a hybrid and more on the conduction side). I like having both options to play with. :science:

No pure convection device we’ve seen yet comes close to the tiny size and durability of a VapCap though, and very few vaporizers can be used in as many situations with as many different heat sources as a VapCap. At minimum it’s the “desert island” vape for sure, and for plenty of people it’s “the one”. I hope it’s a great fit for you. I’m using mine with the new Dynacoil right now! :D

Where is GLOUCESTER?

I thought I would know?
CIVILIZED I was once?

I had some PINEAPPLE ESPRESS ROSIN before nap!

I put my “M” away for now?
If my wife wasn’t so dreamy I would use it inside!
When will VAPCAP offer a INDUCTION HEATER?
Being CIVILIZED is not easy when you depend on others ?

CIVILIZED is pure luxury!

Gloucester is in England. ;), Mass

Thanks for explaining a few things to me,But what the heck is VAS?:\And why is his head ugly?
Of course it's only three letters so I can't find anything on the search here and Google gives me no credible explanations...........

@dampo if you pick-up a 4mm axle from a "rc" model car. When the condenser gets full, (it condenses the vapor in the condenser,) push the reclaim in the kief catcher on your grinder. Roll it around and coat it with kief. Moon Dust. Doc
So this is what " you can collect the honey "means, so if you send the vapor through water no " honey "will get through? But where does it go then, will it be deposited on the glass?

Vaporizer Acquisition Syndrome is an ailment, & many of us are addicted.

I may be on my way to recovery, and have spirited away at least 50%
of my VAS Funds for getting the real shit.

Herb, wax, hash, shatter, carts, etc. Food. YMMV ;)

“Nivver”, Lad?

“Battery FREE!” Is our collective.

BTW “Induction Lighters” may be a Fig Newton of your imagination, of course I
Was able to somehow mean what you figured? :tinfoil:

@dampo reclaim is vapor that has condensed on your glass or whatever. Some people use ISO to dissolve it off. Then evaporate the ISO off. Then scrape and vape.
I use "Everclear". drinkable grain alcohol. I make tinctures. Few drops in a drink, at night, no problems sleeping. Good for aches and pains, headaches, mid day high.
Read through the forum, surprising what you learn. At least read through "The best of thread" . Go through Squibys list on her page. I envy your research. You have to try what you learn, right.

Stoned!
So I went to use my Shadow M last night for the first time and I noticed it clicked a little differently than other VCs, and I noticed that the cap is a little more concave than my others. Does anyone have one like this and does it behave any differently? It worked, its clicking just seemed a little labored.

I use Pipes IH and all of my caps have this. It makes the click harder to hear and I too wondered if it could be fixed or just replace.

I so envy all you over in legal states living in England's fine countryside only concentrates I come across is mouldy cow pat's!.

Still gonna buy a dynavoil tho it'll be rude not too.

No concentrates here, either. I'm trying to figure out the home rosin press options. Lots of options, it can get a bit confusing.

VAS = Vapcap Acquisition Syndrome

I've lost my parchment paper....

I did give it a go a few months ago but found I was worried wasting bud etc.... I have one local grower I'm lucky to know and i need stock for health reasons so didn't enjoy it would rather just buy...

@stark one, @lookhigh

vaporizer acquiring syndrome
O it is real.
Well, this VAS is definitely something I will never ever, not in a million years lower myself to, look, I just spent nearly 300 euro on this vape stuff, and I'm absolutely sure that I'm not ever going to spend a cent more on on these devices:nod:, I'll be strong, I know I will be ( I think)

Aha, I do have some 96% ethanol which I use to extract RSO, so after a while I can use this on the glass and reclaim some good stuff.
Good to know, thanks for the advice
And yes, I've got a lot of reading to do.

My magnet quest is finally over. As some posters have already stated (thanks guys), a diametrically magnetized magnet is what works to hold a VapCap centered and upright. It just slides to the edge with an axially magnetized magnet.

They're not real common, especially in a size for my IH, but I did find some at K&J Magnets [Link].

Another option I found is that two common bar magnets side by side will center the VapCap - it will just slide to the edge if only one is used. They’re inexpensive and available locally at hardware stores and such.

Most importantly, the magnets significantly reduce the cool-down time. And the small magnet actually cools a bit faster than the larger bar magnets.

For testing the cooling times, I heated my VapCap M with my induction heater, then waited 20 sec before cooling with the magnets and starting the time.

- With natural cooling, the average time for the cool-down click was 55 sec

- With the bar magnets, the average time to cool was 12 sec - 358% faster!

- With the button magnet, the average time to cool was 10 sec - 450% faster!!

I’m sure all this has already been posted somewhere in this huge thread, but the info could still be helpful to some.

I was going to build my own induction lighter like you.
Why doesn’t VAPCAP offer one?
