What setting are you guys using in the dna mod? As in ss316 ss430, kanthal, nickel 200, titanium, blah, blah, blah. Or is it just something everyone’s just playing around with? I got a dna 250c and I have no idea..... plain old wattage mode whoops my ass, but I wanna use the full potential of my dna250c thanks guys!!

This looks like a job for... Ecigprofile Man!

Hey everyone, I have a question about compatibility with the Artic Fox firmware or any other firmware. Is the Wismec Reuleaux RX GEN3 DUAL 230W Box Mod compatible with Artic Fox? nfeteam.org says RX GEN3, but I am unsure if the DUAL would be compatible. I was also looking at the Sinuous P80. I really like both form factors. I have a eVic Mini for my Imp and I am looking for another mod to go with the Z. Thanks a lot.

So, along with my new Mod I have caved and ordered the long Custom XL8R from VGOODIEZ (which I am hoping is RBTs original thick glass version) so that I can get some more use of my SplinterZ away from home. I will want a carry tube for it and some have recommended THIS from EpicVape. Are there any other recommendation that this stem will fit in? I have one of the cleaning tubes that came with my HerbalAire back at my vape beginning, but that seems to struggle with the width of a regular joint.

Sinuous and G3D do work with arctic fox

I'm using the Sinuous P80 and Arctic Fox can be flashed onto it. Haven't actually played with it sofar as it's too complicated for me. Haven't ever dabbled with e-cigs and mod configuration and stuff so.... anyone knows about profiles customized form the Z I could just load?

which I am hoping is RBTs original thick glass version

The custom, thicker glass stem is the $49.00 one.

Both are compatible with sur_myevic also, which to me is the preferable way to go.

That is what I was hoping, and it fits in that EpicVape plastic tube for carry and cleaning? Just want to be sure before placing an order for the tube. The purpose of this stem will be for out of the house and I will need to protect it.

Yes. What I really would have liked for storage is DV's large snapstash, but obviously longer in length, but who knows where to find one. (It would be great if RBT would sell them.) So in lieu of anything better, this does OK. And it's only $5 + ship. And even if you aren't enthused with it & it's only for interim use, you can surely find other uses for these.

Hmmm. So I have lots of the regular DV tube, and a couple of the larger ones. Neither are even close to handling an 18mm joint. That third tube is a cleaning tube from my HA and barely takes a straight stem, which suggests to me it won't be able to handle one that has been made slightly larger as the XL8R seems to be. I guess for $6.50 delivered I can give that EpicVape tube a shot...

Profiles are only for DNA mods, you'll have to play with settings for TC or stick with wattage, can search for AF settings

Arctic Fox also allows exchange of profiles. Been a while since I have used AF so bit rusty. Let have to check to see if I still have a profile for the splinterZ around. If not I try toss one together for @Hammahead.

I dig the rx gen3 dual with the Splinter Z now that I have myevic on it. It's running pretty hot but not scorching or combusting. I don't mind stirring every hit or two when the hits are this big and dense.

My dna heats more evenly and is slower to get the Z soaked and going. I could maybe try a wattage preheat next time to get things popping.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna have to order some. It's gonna get pretty stinky pretty quick, besides being fragile. I may check out the dollar store first...

Have you considered a wood stem? With or without a glass lining, the wood seems to cool the vapor and the wood would not be as fragile?

@Alan from iHeat makes some functional art that is a wood stem, just beautiful smooth wood. Wood type and length can be custom ordered.

Also, Ed from Eds TNT makes some beautiful stems I am sure they will be very helpful. For anyone outside the US, @VapeFiend.com has walnut in stock.

Regarding the XL8r stem, they work sooooo well. For out and about you may want the short one, It cools very well and is much shorter. Some like the light-saber look, if you are in a "legal" state stealth is not important.

Yeah the glass itself only cost a few dollars and it takes maybe 2 minutes to make the indents and cut the glass down to size. It's also so little work that I doubt the glass has to be annealed after. Even $25 for the Chinese version is ludicrous as I'm fairly certain they're made by a machine based on the precision of the dimples. The custom stem should be closer to the price of the standard, and if the standard is indeed made by a machine it should cost significantly less.

IIRC RBT bought a kiln to allow him to make the xl8r stems himself. Wouldn't a kiln only be needed if it was to anneal the stems?
