Why can't I get the same "high" than I used to get?

Have you considered going the edible route? I've heard that can be more psychedelic than inhalation, due at least partly to the change from delta-9-THC to 11-hydroxy-THC. It'll also last longer.

Thanks for your reply, but I'm living in a non-cannabis -friendly country and I don't have access to edibles.

Also, I like the ceremony of vaping :sherlock:

If I were you I would try with mushrooms!:tup:

Guess I'm gonna have to take a look at that.

Here in Spain we have easy access to hash, tons of it, and weed....even all kind of drugs, but mushrooms is something you can put your hands on it that easy. Maybe I should grow them myself :worms::freak:

I’ve never experienced with mushrooms, but sounds interesting.

I think I have a lot of homework to do, because I have literally NO IDEA.

Found nice kits for growing mushrooms in Zamnesia, but I don’t know how to consume them, what do I have to be careful with, do’s and don’ts etc. Guess I remember you have to dry them, but have to take a look to dosage, dangers, etc.

At my age and with 2 kids to feed, you gotta be careful when playing!

You have to study on it, like I did.
Nobody can tell you what to do, you must understand what is best for you.
When it comes to drugs (not only, obviously), I think things must be done with awareness.

That’s exactly what I mean, and that’s why I was saying a dangerous door was opening. Not for the mushrooms themselves, but for all the time on internet researching!

I get that. The whole vaping ritual can definitely be relaxing, in and of itself.

If you ever want to try Cannabis in edible form, though, you can boil some finely ground Cannabis in some coconut oil for a while, strain it (optional), and use it in any recipe that requires butter, or even pop it into your coffee or spread it on a piece of bread. The fat in the coconut oil will help with absorbing the cannabinoids. Just be careful, because edibles catch a lot of people off guard.

Also, be careful with mushrooms or other traditional psychedelics, if you are on any medications, especially ones that affect seratonin (SSRI's like Prozac, Lexapro, etc.).

Thanks! I've done cannabis butter, also cannabis in coconut oil as you say. I hate smoke, really hate it, but I find vaping somehow funny and relaxing.

I'm a musician (well, sort of....) and I really enjoy playing and writting when I'm in the right high.

I'm on no meds, but Ihave a couple of friends that had serious issues experimenting with acid, and that scares me a little. Mushrooms...sounds fun, but I have to do my homework as I said and do my own tesearch. I respect everybody oppinions, but only processing the right information by yourseldf and applying it to your own way of life you get total control about what you do.

But sounds fun, I'll start my research soon.

Prohibition against certain substances is driven by blind ignorance and disgusting hypocrisy of interests and affairs and supported by all those who do not want the liberation of the human being.

Totally agree, that's what I was saying. I wand good and concrete information, then I'll decide what to do with my life in my own judgment,

My humble opinion: nothing, but nothing can give you total control over what you do.

Psychedelic mushrooms fall into this category. If you want to continue that discussion, please take it to PMs. There are also other forums you can try.

It seems right to respect the rules of the forum.
Even if there would be talk about the categories for hours, Prohibition, Mr. Aslinger and so on …
We should reconsider a bit of everything if we think about how many deaths causes alcohol and how many of them cause the mushrooms.

In discussion with @Stu, I learned that he had a slightly different interpretation of that rule, which is vague to begin with. Apparently he (and more importantly @vtac) felt that psychedelics were okay, so mushroom talk would be fine. My comment was based on the impression I got, also from @vtac, that the intent was to keep the forum safe from discussion of other illegal drugs. That would include using opioids without a prescription, but not with.

I still feel that such discussion belongs elsewhere, but I withdraw my objection above. Carry on.

Only two words: Zamnesia and Shroomery.:)
Watch your step @Shroomery...the mushroom info is good good good, but most of the off-topic stuff is pure poison. I strongly recommend staying out of the OTD (off-topic discussion) and the Pub. They’re sewers, trolling is a contact sport played dogpile-style.

Cultivation info is golden, really great stuff. Sporeworks is great for, well, *spores*...

@pakalolo, I understand, not interested in changing the board’s character...I’ll take this no farther.

Of course, as someone very important said "We need to separate the wheat from the bran" :D

Just to close the subject, let's have a laugh!

PM me if you want some pro tips...Funded 4 years of following Phish with indoor fungus. :)

I made an amazing "Fog pump" out of an ultrasonic humidifier disc and a fish pump! It was so cool to watch the fog get pumped into the terrarium full of birthday cakes!

I have developed the same issue and not sure what to do about it- even reading everyone's comments. I don't want to use edibles or concentrates. I've started getting just a very mild buzz no matter the quality of the herb or the vape I use. And because of that I've cut back my vaping quite a bit so don't need a tolerance break. It's a mystery to me.

I think we encounter plateaus...I used to think of it as tolerance, but now I tend to think that it has to do with ECS activation, as if we get enough concentration built up that things start to switch on/off, and things are different, so our response is different.

I think part of it too is an adjustment we make; we come to realize we’re not acting weird, that we’re not being “obviously stoned”, and so we adapt to being stoned by not feeling tripped-out and self-conscious about it. I think this is the point where it actually gets more fun, we start to tackle new things, like walking to the store and back, trying to not get lost among the munchies, not tripping over our feet, not losing the thread of the conversation, watching movies.... as we do this, our capacity for more and more detailed and precise behaviors increases. I think it’s around this point that people take up new hobbies or interests - or take them more seriously.

Something you might try doing is change up your routine. If you typically vape as soon as you get home, wait until you’ve fed the dog, changed clothes, put things away. If you wake’n’bake on the weekends, try waiting until after your coffee, or after your morning errands - almost any variation in your schedule will shift your expectations of the experience and yourself, and that will shift the experience for you. Likewise, if you usually vape alone, invite a friend over, or try it by yourself, if you haven’t. I find it all worthwhile. Be flexible!

I find I like microdosing most when I need my timing sharp and my attention unfurled, and *also* when I’m studying or researching. Most other times, I’ll do the equivalent of two or three vapcaps over the course of an hour, just going with the flow.

Hopefully you’ll find some of that useful.
