Best cartridges for distillate

I put distalite straight into ccell carts. With the silo or palm it's a perfect match. Those carts I find work the best in any battery. Never leak for me.

Never had a leak in dozens of TH2's myself either. Still think they could make some improvements in airflow, and perhaps dump the cotton?

There is cotton in the TH2'S ?
Im considering re-using one to experiment with making a thickness of oil that it will vape,

Stupid idia? do we allready know its only good for destilates?

very clean rosin+10% terps maybe?

Yes, there is a cotton prefilter. That's what the white is, the ceramic is behind that. No worries reusing at all, and honey oil/co2 oil work great in th2's. I just sometimes think that the cotton is what causes some off tastes for me, kinda almost like burning, especially with anything over mid 3v's. Might be only good for a couple of refills.

You can experiment with the rosin+disty+terps!

I was gifted 2 pre filled TH2s with 500 mg distilate in each,

You think the best solution would be to suck out the distilate and mix that with rosin+terps
Or smoke the destilate first, and then start experimenting xD ?

I really need to find a better cart than the CCELL TH2! Tired of tasting combusting cotton! I'm sure it's not organic!

EDIT: I think I found what my problem was!

"Carts should come with instruction for first time users that they MUST let first fill sit upright for at least 24hrs, 48hrs even better, to completely saturate. Otherwise you just fried your coil and can toss the cart in the trash."

@ChooChooCharlie do you get clogging with the Pax Era? I'm thinking of picking one up but still on the fence with the extra price per gram. Figure it might be worth it if the flavor is more consistent though. I noticed Select is starting to fill pods too. Where would you rank the Era amongst the rest of these pens?

I guess at $50 a gram by the time you fill a cart you're not saving much. Seems like disty goes for $20 a gram in other legal states. Yay California!

I've been playing with Pax and Stiiizy pods for a little. Stiiizy has the far more user-friendly theory where refilling is not that difficult. Pax is not as flexible on refilling (It can be done, but it is a pain and requires a stiff proboscis on any syringe to use.). Both seem to last at least a few refillings before you get some clog or other problem, but the Pax seem to die sooner overall.

Around here, Pax is asking outrageous prices for the pods and I have not found any that are worth the extra money over Stiiizy. I still want to try the purported live resin pod from The Lab, but it is in CO and will have to wait until someone comes to CA with something similar. Pax and branded suppliers seem to at least attempt some terpene mix that does not overwhelm and those contributing to Stiiizy don't seem as careful in making something taste like the way the underlying flower would taste. I also like the Pax battery better even though I don't use the features with any regularity. (Upping the temp will have your oil disappear faster--without a seeming increase in effect.) Stiiizy is a little bigger battery but I don't notice any difference in use.

To the specific question of clogging with the Era, I've not had it happen in any new pod in either system. The earliest clog I experienced was on a third refill of a Pax Pod. I think one of the pod advantages over the cartridge has to do with the clogging issue. It does not happen as much with the pods.

The bottom line is that both platforms work. For my use, Stiiizy is the clear winner. For a casual user or someone who is a medical user of small doses, the Pax may be a better and more fun choice.

@OldNewbie Ive since picked up an Era, for me it has replaced my portable vapes, I typically keep it paired with a Brite Labs full spectrum co2 pod.

What temp have you been running?

Just picked up an Era and 2 C02 pods from Pyramid. Looking forward to trying it out soon.

There were a few Live Resin pods around, but they wanted ridiculous prices for them ($60/500mg pod). The C02 pods I picked up were pricey too, $35/500mg pod, but I mainly picked them up with the intention to refill them a few times. Have a few blunt tip syringes of different gauges on the way to assist in that.

there are reports on IG about Phase 3 testing showing tons of carts failing for heavy metals!
no hard details on which brands might be involved.
maybe this will motivate 'em to sell syringes again!
but if this pans out, they've gotta be pulled from the market... you don't mess with heavy metal poisoning, ask Flint, MI.

I tend to hang out around 500F, plus or minus 30 degrees or so. The full temp control suite in the app is sweet.

$35 is pretty decent for an Era pod, they tend to go for about $40-50 around here for Co2 oil or distillate, and even higher for boutique extraction methods like Blue River's rosin sauce pods. I honestly get at least a grams worth of oil efficiency out of a 500mg pod though so the value is pretty good for me.

Here's an Era pro-tip lol, when you first get it you'll probably keep puffing and puffing and be amazed how it hasn't dropped in level at all. The Era oil tank is bigger than the viewing window so it gives the illusion the pod is still totally full. By the time you can see the oil level dropping from the viewing window it's pretty low and nearly time for a new one.

Have you seen any actual lab tests showing this? I've seen the claims and the comments across Instagram but I'd like to see some real info.

At any rate, potential concerns like that are a big reason why I switched to the Pax for carts, at least you get Pax's quality control which I feel a bit more comfortable about.

I haven't been back on IG since yesterday, at that time a bunch of industry folks were all abuzz over it, but no lab print-outs yet.

I like some of the Canna Cartridges but I’m finding some brands are causing me some lung problems. I have to be careful. I live in WA state, the Double Delicious carts are terrible. I will not buy them again. I really like a brand called Two Heads but they are hard to find, they sell out fast. Some of the cartridges I have tried have a terrible taste. I bought a Cookies n Cream flavor, it tastes awful. It’s buyer beware in my area. I have many cartridges that I tried and left in a drawer to give away to friends. They probably won’t like them either.

The cartridges are fairly new. Maybe they just need to get it right with more practice?

Look for ones made with live sauce.

Really sorry if this has been asked before or this isn't the place to ask, but i wondered if anyone has any suggestions as to the best place to get (empty) ccell carts in Europe?

Anyone?

I know vapefiend sell single carts, I need somewhere selling 100x at a small discount maybe,
Possible?

with the recent discovery of heavy metals in carts (lead in particular), I'd scrutinize empty carts VERY carefully.

Thanks! I spotted those on vapefiend too, good price! Ended up buying some slightely overpriced 0.5mls along with the terps i bought. First time trying this so it makes sense not to risk wasting too much concentrate anyway i guess.

I am on holiday and have 8 ccell carts with me, 4 mixed with Ejmix and rosin, the others with 10% terps and rosin...it works good but not perfect...the terp infused rosin will seperqtebafter a week or so...u can rewarm and steer but thats prob. Not always easy to do hehe..the ejmix stays stable longer...having booth in the refrigerator helps alot.

Carts r more or less one time usable where they work good, filling up a second time does work aswell but u feel its mess efficient cuz of the gummed up filter.

Works great for holidays where its prohibited since no smell in the luggage and on the run :)
Tastewise as alrdy mentioned the terp infused ones r better/stronger then ejmix what more tastes like liquid.

For me still its just a holiday/work solution since i like the taste from normal low temp dabbing better :)
