luckily this vape is more consistent in terms of output, then the square was even at its best...but remember this fact re: business failure rates
Bureau of Labor Statistics: about 20% fail in their first year, and about 50% of small businesses fail in their fifth year.
My personal hope is to see GV succeed, that way we all do!

One can only presume they had sufficient capital going in:

There might not even have been much or any profits in the beginning.
But they didn't bail & weathered their troubled beginning, & never faltered in their goodwill CS. Now there are very few reported problem on the forums. Yes, they have some new reports of peeling & broken latches with the new Stealth edition, & a problem unit here & there, but the reports are few, nothing compared to the issues in the beginning. And they will replace these units until they find the root cause or make a material change. They are still perfecting the android app. & hopefully with the next firmware release the connectivity with the different Android versions will improve. And as you can see from this thread & VLF, their customer base in growing, not to mention the off-internet networking sales that are going on that we don't even see [except for instagram networiking pics]. One would think that they wouldn't be running 2 page magazine adds if they didn't have sufficient capital.I just want it known that I don't defend GV because there's nothing to defend them for. Rather I support them because they have brought a marvelous, innovative vape to market & have serviced their customers with the utmost respect & have continually strived to (& succeeded at) improve their vape.

Now that I've had my MV1 for a while, all I can say is that I love the thing. I've become (mostly) used to the size and weight, and anyway with performance like the MV1 I'm willing to put up with a few minor inconveniences!
I've actually stopped using my other vapes, which I did not expect to happen.
I hope Ghost is very successful so that they can continue to improve and innovate in the vape market. They certainly have some great ideas and technology, already.

Just a quick thank you note to all on this thread, especially Summer. I have spent a lot of money on battery vapes and have felt they the battery part of the equation has been disappointing. So much so that I have retired them all. I still feel that they are a great tool and am grateful for all the input about the Ghost. I think you might be tipping me back into the battery world. Thanks for helping me spend my money....4/20 here I come.

I know it's awkward but can the door not be held shut physically to get around this? I'm thinking worst case would be a cable tie holding it in position.
Absolute worst case scenario I'd be making my own latches from wood or something. Fingers crossed I'm okay for now and those don't really show signs of slowing down - based on them releasing accessories. Thinking I'll be getting some more crucibles and liquid pads shortly.

The refund was probably your best alternative because even if you chose the non-stealth version, if you needed any type of warranty work in the future, you'd be back in the same position -- living in Cambodia & too afraid to return the vape. And, understandably, they can't keep sending you units if you won't send the broken units back.
If you don't already have a vapcap, I'd consider it as it is unbreakable & will never require warranty work.

@Ohm and Away you might want to preface your comment with the fact that yours seems to be a very unique situation, and that they've attempted to rectify the situation to the best of their ability. Sounds like the onus isn't on them at this point.

I strongly disagree. Given that this issue only seems to affect stealth units, sending me a non stealth one (which I said I'd be fine with) would have been the most logical solution. Sending it back is only useful for verifying that it's actually broken, and we were able to do that via email (unless they are planning on fixing and reselling broken units?). If they don't w
See above. When I buy a product the onus is on the company I bought it from to provide a working unit. They failed to do so.
To be clear for both of you: I've lived in Cambodia for over 15 years. I've bought everything online from laptops to vape pens to sex toys to cars. This is the first time a company has failed to get me a working product, let alone used my physical location as an excuse.

I'm on the look out for a new dabbing device. i fancy the Rio from Stache Products as its portable and love dabbing on quartz for the flavor, especially when doing it from a cold start using inserts to suck up the vapors. Although that might be my final choice i have been wondering about the Ghost MV1 solely for concentrate use, using there liquid pads.
What's the consensus on the Ghost for oil's, any good, bit hit and miss? would be great to hear off people who use it mainly for oils if they exist. I'm aware that the Ghost is convection based where as the Rio would be conduction so there would be difference but how vast would that be?
Any advise is welcome as VAS is kicking in once more

Good morning! Per Ghost, you can’t use liquids with the pads, sorry, they are for waxes and such that can melt into the pad and be held there.
I can confirm that a tiny bit of semisolid extract (they say the size of a grain of rice, and I’ve complied best I can) will work just fine.

When i say "liquid pads" i do me solid shatter @ClearBlueLou on the pads, purpose made for extracts, not ecig liquids and the like.

How would you say it performs as solely a concentrate device? i really don't need it for herb partly because i don't use it and also because i have a IQ that i'm perfectly happy with in the event that i do use any

Solely as a concentrate device, I'd say you're better off looking elsewhere to get more bang for your buck. Personally I find the experience with concentrates underwhelming and wasteful of precious extracts.
Flower is a different story..

My draw to the Ghost is the ability to use concentrate and flower with equal ease, and though I only got to try it with concentrate once, it was zipless: no trouble or inconvenience of any kind during or after. The pad and crucible are clean enough to use again without issue, I got 5 or 6 good hits - and that with the heating issues I’d been having.
I would have no qualms about loading 5 pads into 5 crucibles and carrying a no-flower dispenser on the go or using it at home. If I had no use for flower, I would certainly see what else is out there...but I might settle on MV1 anyway
