Vaping make anyone else smoke more cigarettes?

So don't me wrong, I like vaping a lot.. mostly because I can save so much herb and blaze up in my living room without stinking the place up. But after about 6 months of vaping, I'm finding that I smoke more cigarettes.

I don't know what it is.. Must be some psychological aspect. Wanting to get a heavy smoke but I'd feel like I was wasting a shit load of money if I rolled a joint with the vape sitting right there. I also think it's because I love smoking a joint outside so much... I've only smoked outside this summer maybe 6 or 7 times (when I'm hanging out and it's other peoples weed.. that's the only time I smoke).


Anyone else find this to be true?

Ive ditched the analogs almost completely. Everything for me is vapor now (I can sit at my desk at work and chain vape all day long) nicotine that is... On occasion I will smoke an analog cigarette or B&M wine cigar. But very rarely nowdays

it's funny, I never considered vaping tobacco once heh. My vape is all about the chronic. What does vaped tobacco taste like by the way?

I am an e-cig junkie

There are a few folk on here who do in fact vape tobacco (usually in the iolite) I know one guy exclusively vaped his meds WITH tobacco. It was interesting.

i switched to the electric cigarettes about the same time i got my first vape. figured i'd do it all together. I haven't really looked back, so far i've bummed cigarettes when i ran out of batteries and some cravings the first couple days, but otherwise no smoking. I had a definite smokers cough and it almost entirely went away within days of switching. also way cheaper than cigarettes.

There are a variety of fake camel, fake parliament, etc... or other random tobacco type flavors and just fruit or booze or mint or any random flavor you can think of.

These are generally atomizing liquid not vaporizing actual tobacco, lots of info at http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/

I tried switching to an ecig. but it just aint the same. i like to enjoy a Marlbro red after a vape sesh. :rolleyes:

LOL I am a member there as well. I think one of my favorite threads is discussing 'odd' flavors. (Like Bacon, Pizza and the lot)

bacon eh....maybe i should spend a little more time on that site.

heh, you just got me to try the eggnog flavor i got as a sample in my last order. not quite an actual eggnog taste, better than i thought it would be, but still not that awesome.


for anyone that owns a vape, but still smokes cigarettes, i say vapor > smoke for cigarettes too.

I really really really want and need to quit smoking cigarettes. I smoked when I was younger for many years, and somehow quit. It was probably 15 or so years that I did not have a cigarette. Then I started again a couple of years ago.. What a mistake... It starts with that ONE CIGARETTE! I am having the hardest time, and thought I might try the e-cig route. Do you guys using the e-cigs recommend a particular model?

I smoke cigarettes a alot more when I'm vaping (almost twice as much :o ), tried e-cigs and they didn't take :( Guess I'm just going have to try giving up nicotine all together....

It's funny coz for me vaping made me quit smoking cigarette even if I never really intended so at first.
But I have to admit I was already not smoking anymore on a daily basis.
But what happened is that the taste and the buzz of combustion became too harsh for me slowly but surely.

Even when I want to smoke a cig I can't really smoke it and end up throwing it away after 5 puffs or so.

How things can be different from a person to another...


But vaping makes want to vape more...coz the taste is soooo good !

The e-cig route changed my life... There's a few threads around here and there are several e-cig forums.

There are a gazillion types with new stuff coming out every day. If you try one ecig and don't like it, don't discount the idea completely. Kinda like how vapir almost turned me away from vaping herbs.

Once you get into the vapor..... It's hard to go back to smoke. I can't imagine it myself ;)

For models... Look into a 510 kit, a KR808 kit or the new Tornado/Ego type kits. Great starters IMHO and cruise the e-cig forums for more info. It is a great way to learn about them.

If you DO decide to try the e-cig route - as you did here DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST!

I say this because Ive seen people buy something that was 'branded' and are stuck with having to buy proprietary accessories. This isnt always a huge issue, but it can make it difficult to find things sometimes.

I like to shop around for the best deal on juices and accessories.
Oh and I have a 510 (with a USB passthrough) - it rocks.

Heres my theory on the vaping smoking thing.......since ive been vaping i still want the hit from a bong, well i think its the hit from the tobacco that i mix it with that i want. As if i just combust straight herb i feel like im missing out but when mixed with tobacco i get a nice fulfilling hit!
Well after coming home from work today (friday) i would usually go straight for the bong to get a hit, but i went to my vape and i felt dam good. i didnt need the bong! but after an hour i wanted a bong. Then i remembered that i bought some tobacco today and smoked quite heavily just before coming home (i hadnt smoked in a few days, trying to give it up) which i think gave me a good buzz when i vaped and it satisfied me for an hour!!

Does that make sense or am i just vaked:o

Yes, it makes perfect sense - You are addicted to nicotine. Plain and simple. (And there is nothing 'wrong' with this)

Just like when 'communicating' with someone - its all in the delivery.

I too am addicted to nicotine. Ive just found a way that helps satisfy that craving in which is less harmful :)

I ordered myself an e-cig "starter kit" a couple of days ago. I went with the KR808D-1. I'm looking forward to being free of tobacco smoke as well. Fuck Combustion! Do any of you recommend a particular vendor for juice for your e-cigs or have one that you would say to definitely avoid? Thanks!

so far I've just gone thru vapor4life, I've been pretty happy with them. They run 20% off sales every week or two, so i try and just buy during the sales. The e-cig forum i plugged earlier i think has a whole subforum on juice and lots of people talking about gourmet juice places even :)

I'm starting to think about branching out more, but haven't really yet. My top flavor is wowboy (tobacco with chocolate and hint of mint)

Ive heard good things about Mrs. Ts bakery. My personal fav is Vaporbomb currently.
I have a couple of bottles of not so tasty (to me) FSUSA flavors. Shoot me a message with your addx and Ill send you a bottle.

I just started chewing a piece of nicotine gum. Because I just vaped? Because I'm reading this thread? It's an unusually short time after my last piece. It's not something I've noticed before. I'd say it's a combination I only enjoy when I have very little to do. It makes my mind race.
