You want to use teflon tape on the threads, and then I also recommend to get the fittings tightened down all the way, sometimes you think it's tight but you can still twist the fitting down another 1/2 turn or so.

I'd also recommend to follow the bleed instructions for the pump make sure there's no air in the line.

Right on i think ive been using the wrong kind of tape ( the skinny white version, lol )

I have some injury in my hand/arm so maybe i should call in support for getting that extra tight?
I did feel i was at the limit of my arms strenght last time i tried dealing with it,

It really is some heavy tool xP....

The white teflon tape is the stuff, you may need to wrap it on the threads 3-4 times if it's thinner tape.

Definitely get a help from a strong arm to verify tightness and thread it tighter if needed.

Or use a bit of liquid dish detergent around the joints (the ole' bubble test).

Those tests could certainly be used to check if there was an air leak, as you would in your car's tire.

But a fluid leak will give the same tells as an air leak.

I apologize if this has already been covered or not...

for the dabpress all-in-one that "tips for drip", is that frame sturdy enough to repeatedly endure the included cylinder's pressure?

also, if ordering from USA, are there any import duties?

We've stress tested the cylinder within the hr10t35v frame for over 1000 times of max pressure. No damage to the frame or leaking of the cylinder. The thickness of the base that holds the cylinder is 2 1/4" thick 6061 aluminum.

Currently we have about 100 units left in the US warehouse so no import fees to US customers, those will probably be sold out soon so we are working on getting more stock at the US warehose ASAP.

i agree...

recently contaminated some rosin with hydraulic fluid, like a micro drop in a 7ml jar was enough to ruin the whole thing (imo)

When u setup ur press the first time, take good time make sure all fittings is perfectly sealed and tight as tight can be (call in extra help if needed, i had to), so that you dont have to deal with this stuff down the road, unless something really unexpected were to happen ofc!

I stress this not for the sake of being lazy and never having to do it again, but for the fact that you dont want ur workspace contaminated with these fluids!

And I think cheaping out on the pump was a bad idea, or i might just have been unlucky with the brand i chose not a 100% sure on that.

Yes, but boy oh boy is there a big difference in price compared to top shelf like BVA. I have BVA hydro as it came with my NV press, but I did look up some parts prices and they are indeed expensive. Top, top, top quality but $$.

I believe I used teflon plumber paste (comes in a tube) in lieu of the tape....either is fine, but one or the other MUST be used to prevent leaks, IMO.

I've been getting accustomed with the foot pump. The model I purchased operates at 100-120 PSI from the compressor. I am able to get about 200 gauge PSI per pump with the compressor regulated to 100 PSI. Just did a small 3.5g load using a 2" wide filter, bottle tech style. This is definitely going to take some practice but I managed to get it locked down on the puck at 1200 gauge PSI (1125 PSI on puck) with no tearing of the paper or bleed through. Overall I'm impressed with the $110 foot pump. I am running it with a 4.0 SCFM @ 90 PSI air compressor. The foot pump itself boasts 7 CFM air consumption, no issues as far as I can tell. I'll be running a larger puck here soon to see how it handles that.

7g squish using the hydraulic/pneumatic foot pump, defintely not the same amount of finesse as a hand pump but very neat and easy effort for me.

No problem! Thanks to NT&E selling out of the hydraulic hand pump so quickly last year, we had to look at every other option....

Tried out the bottle tek tonight with filter instead of "naked",
Much better result imo!

I seem to be getting a few % that i wasnt getting in the flat bags,
And also the resin off of this Sour diesel seem to be generally hard to extract / get stuck as white thc-a powder on the inside the regulare bags. But im seeing much less of that with this method.

I have had best results with bottle tech. The best i got so far is a 1.30 yield off 6 grams in a 160u at 180 for 3:00 first squish .85 two min at 210 second .45 for a total of 1.30. I even go bottle with these small 1.25x3.25 bags with single grams out of a pollen press. The best i got on the small bags is .24 on a gram press with 90u bag at 200 for 2:30. I also have some 45u that work great for this with better quality but lower yield.

Just bought the 10t dabpress and strongway w gauge. I have a couple year old huge 20 ton bailey with plates and it’s just overkill and not ideal.

The dabpress sounds like it’s specced out right to me.. it’ll come down to durability for me I think because otherwise I know what to expect.

For folks using the strongway, are you guys using Teflon tape for the threads or a sealing paste (used this for Bailey and worked fine)

Also, I have some fluid for the old press but wondering if I should buy something specific for this?

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on downsizing your press and how you're getting along with it.

No tape or sealing paste needed at the quick coupler, just finger tighten it down all the way and you're good to go.

As for hydraulic fluid for your pump, the owners manual states to use a good anti foaming hydraulic jack oil.

I have some hydraulic fluid that I've been using. For my pumps that have specifications for the exact fluid they recommend 10 weight so I use it for all my pumps.

Hello All
I`m seeing if there is any update for the rosin bags.
I like that clear plastic card that`s in with the bags. So much easier to put the puck in.
One thing I have been doing is putting the rosin on a warming plate. I have one on my stove.
Just to get it clearer and not looking like very soft wax. What I have is a sugar bomb on the press.

EDIT: Roger said 3-5 days for 2.5x4.5" filters, pairs to pm40r cylinder pre-press.

How are you enjoying that method? Do you find it easier to get your dose size with that consistency?

You want like 25u - 37u when pressing something like bubble. I am not an expert I just got my dabpress like a month go but that is what I have been using.

You will have to experiment but generally you are going to want lower temps and less time.

180-200F is what I would suggest. Start slow with the pressure and let the kief turn into a hash brick first then ease into it a bit more and it should start juicing. Definitely suggest a directional fold packet for your bag, although may not be as necessary with these newer drip tech presses. Still rocking the 6 ton here!
