How ground up should it be?

I have a four section grinder with a kief collector at the bottom. Should I grind it until all of it goes through the first layer down to one of the ones between the top and the kief layer? Or having some bulkier bigger pieces up top is better? Or does it even matter?

Depends on what you are using to vape it as some vapes like finer grinds. Usually I like to seperate the top half of my grinder, break up the buds into smaller buds that fit between the teeth (deseed and destem as much as possible) and use the top 2 halves to grind until the grinding becomes smoother. This usually gets it to a nice easy consistency to work with in all of my vapes. (It also collects kif and reduces alot of stemmage)

in general, the finer the grind the faster and more thoroughly it will vape, because there is more surface area exposed this way. Its like pan frying loose ground beef compared to frying the same meat in thick burger patties - the loose meat will cook quicker and more evenly throughout, while the thick patties may get scorched on the outside while still being raw in the middle. At least thats how i'd describe it, but maybe i'm just hungry.

as AGbeer said above, it really depends on your vape as well. For something like the MFLB, or any vape that uses conduction at least partially, the finer the better. But for most desktop vapes its not as essential to grind quite so fine. Also, most desktop vapes dont have that fine of a screen like the MFLB so theres a chance stuff could get sucked through if ground too fine.

For use in my SSV, i just grind things up until they fall through the holes in my vapeworld 4 piece grinder. Its about the same grind as what i've always used in the past to roll J's with. The bits are about as big as, say, an uncooked grain of rice.

I use a medium grind(er) for EQV and a strainer for DBV. It all depends on the vape's requirements.

ew seeds. I can't remember the last time i had to deseed. get some dank. I don't really remove the stems anymore like when I smoked.. they are covered in trichs and I can't tell the difference in flavor so i just throw the entire bud in the grinder.

Honestly the seeds and stems arent an issue when it comes to VAPING (ive accidentally vaped plenty of seeds and never knew) I just like to ensure that my blend is as clean as possible so that I will have less to pick through when I am getting ready to use my ABV for cooking. :2c:

I have an EQ and I have a multi-chamber grinder, so there are a few 'fineness' levels build in to the grinder. I usually just use the top chamber's worth, but the middle one seems much more effective, but only for like the first hit, not beyond that, if that makes sense.

nah i think i know what you're saying. super ground up in the buddha seems to make it easier to get a smaller number of bigger hits, possibly the same with super dry.
