Bleeding Gums & Sore Throats

Since using my Crafty with a bubbler the last two weeks I have been getting bleeding gums. I initially started using it because the 185d hot vapour - straight out of the Crafty - was giving me a sore throat & swollen glands but I'm guessing that the way I'm drawing now is passing way more hot air over my gums?

I also guess that pulling multiple hits until there is no visible vapour isn't helping, as once the light goes green I'm on it till It's spent.

So is it the heat or the THC that is aggravating my gums? And apart from stopping what would be a better alternative? As I'm thinking that a short Vapcap type of hit through a bubbler would be healthier than extended hot vaping?

I can’t say with the gums, but I can say I do get sore throats all the time with my mighty. I honestly think it’s life of a hydration issue because if I drink a nice glass of water before and after it’s so smooth. If my throats dry and I keep vaping all night that’s when I get the worst sore throats plus the mighty is a very harsh vaporizer at the temps I like. I max it out on 410 that’s when the sore throats come into play. I only have an issue when my throats dry. Just drink a lot of water and you will be fine. Other then that when your sick it’s just going to irritate your throat it’s how it is but you can dry using a bong if you have an adapter fir the mighty to use it with one.

Hey thanks for the reply :)

When I used my Storm vape with the glass mouthpiece I didn't have a problem and then things went downhill when I bought my Crafty. I would 'always' get swollen glands with my Crafty and even though I didn't get a sore throat it hurt quite a bit. I think It's the way I vape with the Crafty as I deeply inhale and don't stop pulling until the light turns red and as soon as it hits green I'm on it until there is no visible vapour. Obviously pulling this much hot vapour in a short space of time is going to dry my mouth/throat out but I have tried drinking lots of ice water and I've even bought a mini bong/bubbler but if anything that is making things worse.

So at the moment I'm taking a break from toking just to see if my throat calms down and I may have to buy a forced air vape and use bags as I don't think my mouth and throat can take hits from my vape anymore.

I just remembered puffitup.com. They make custom glass mouthpieces. Only problem is they are a loose fit

Bleeding gums= gingivitis.

I doubt excessive heat and dryness does anything to help, but it is definitely not the cause of your issues. Healthy gums do not bleed so easily, even in extreme heat and dry conditions.

Brush better, longer and more often.
FLOSS after every time you eat.

Your gums will improve in the coming weeks, but you got to be vigilant- especially with floss. Any bits that get under your gums and not removed will lead to more irritation.

Dry mouth will definitely cause gum issues. You don't want periodontal disease.

As FlyingLow mentioned you should stay on top of brushing and flossing. Brush AND floss three times a day. You can buy those gum stimulator cleaners too. Use those in addition to flossing. After having some serious gum issues I started doing this and it has made a big difference. You could ask your dentist about something called periodent too. Stuff works great.

I have to stay on top of it as I have dry mouth in general. Probably from medications of "all types".

just my opinion, but i'm with @FlyingLow on the gum problem.

i found once i started eating real food - NO processed foods (almost) - my body inflammation cleared up and my gums are healthy ... i also exercise - aerobics and strength training ... trying to see how much farther than 70 i can push this body.
