Some absolutely stunning work, as always Ed. That amboyna is just unbelievable!

Can’t wait to try some of your new glass! I collected glass pipes before I quit smoking and switched to vaping, so being able to use fumes glass with the woodscents is a win win win!

Just a dude
I’ve been spending quite a bit of time with the WS lately, it’s just a pleasure to use. I’ve been primarily using a VC of one kind or another, my favourite is my phattpiggie twist with a black glass condenser, it’s about a tip’s length longer than an XL and no carb of course. That combination is magical with a WS! Also been using a gong with a variety of j-hooks; I’ll bump up the VVPS a .1-.2 and then heavy clouds appear.

Anybody else in awe of their WoodScents like I am? It’s all so crisp, the edge on mine is So Freakin’ Sharp! Sometimes running my thumb along the top, it feels like I’ve been cut. Everything about it is precise. Which is especially impressive with mine, considering it’s got a live edge w/ 2 voids on one side, and looking at the bottom, you can see that it’s not even a perfect circle. Ed absolutely willed this crazy-ass blank into a WS.

I just love it because I’m not perfect either, so there was an instant bond. I’m going to get busy next year and make a Black Walnut stand customised for its wonky shape. Gotta say it once more, I’m so happy that I was finally able to get this thing. Whether you’re buying something in stock or something special, you’ll be getting a unique piece. No two are the same. A museum quality piece of woodwork that leaves me like:

:smug: !

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays, wherever you may be! :peace::leaf::peace:

Agreed, I can’t say enough about how much I love mine. Has basically replaced all desktop vapes for me.

Happy Christmas!

I was thinking of saying how much I love mine too!!! Isn't that funny??
Ed doesn't help with frequent shots of exquisite WS pieces that I don't have.
It starts that itch again, damn.
I try to read about the different vaporizers, to find what I believe, will fit my life.
The WoodScents is a perfect fit for me. I love that it heats in practically no time,
and it provides what I want, in a vaporizer. And the cherry on top is a vapcap,
which comes with a WS. Thanks Ed, you've made my Christmas.

Hello everyone and happy New Year!!! Dont get too excited about seeing midnight any longer and havent in a while. Doesnt hurt my feelings to be in bed way before then and if I am blessed to wake up the next day I will see the new year then. So hope you all had a blast and everyone is safe, happy, healthy and excited for this new year!

I just got home after bout a week away up in Arkansas with the wifes fam. Was a good time had even took a couple days out to drive down to south Louisiana for a duck hunt with a couple of great friends. Was a bit slow but we didnt get skunked and I brought home 4. Going to roast these birds rrrr!

I know I told you all I have been scoring some amazing wood, here is a look at something I have never had before, Karelian Burl

Karelian-Burl-Wood-Scents-Ed-s-Tn-T.jpg

Karelian-Burl-Wood-Scents-a-Ed-s-Tn-T.jpg

TBH ive never heard of it before but has been a lot of fun to work. Its really crazy with figure and personality. This particular piece has a red side that looks like most commonly seen burl with the eyes and such but the opposite side has these wild eyes and pastel tones mixing into it giving it a very mysterious look. I only got 4 of these, 2 are gone and may never get these again.

I have all my parts and heaters in and will begin assembly and bench testing of more WS next day or so and should have more available end of next week. I still have about 3 Amboyna Burl WS to assemble and they may make it to the website, thatd be a first.

Alot is going on and fingers are crossed for good news really really soon. I am anxious to see how this year gets kicked off and will be updating you all as soon as I am able.

@Whisper Glad it has arrived and you are right thats what everyone says, it does look larger but in hand its alot smaller, it feels right though doesnt it? I appreciate you letting me know how much you have come to enjoy it. The whole package is like no other, you get all that and then some and a portable all in one, it just makes sense to me. Anytime that itch needs scratching you let me know!

@-dab8- Thanks for posting up, the Amboyna is always fun to turn and that piece has a lot of charachter. Bro I dont know much about glass other than it will break. My guy said itd be cool and so it is. I am glad you like it and hope you have grabbed one. I like hearing how the WS has worked its way its way to the top.

@HughJundys How you liking it bro?

@pxl_jockey Brother I cant say how much I enjoy reading your post and appreciate it very much. Its not often at all that I get to do a piece like that. As we both mentioned there was several times I thought this isnt going to work, even if it does turn its probably not going to perform correctly. That piece really has so much going on with it and you think aint no way in hell it should work but it does and happy to hear it works very well. I wanna see that walnut stand you put together bro, thats a must. I hope all is well and thank you again for the recommendation also. Wish ya the best!

@KidFated. Taste it choice!

@Ramahs You have had yours for a bit now havent you?

@Ilikechicken3 its so good to see that rig again and all the wonderful pieces you got with it. You really got a winner and appreciate you posting up for others to see. I hope you are enjoying both and wish you all the best this new year!

I thank you all for the days past here and look forward to the days ahead, really feel good about it and hope you all do as well. I wish you all the very best in health and happiness!

I got this one for black friday and I'm starting to get it dialed in. I wasn't sure at first but after using it a bit I can really appreciate the design. It feels so good in my hand. My fingers grip the waist line while I spin it and flip it and the bead kind of rests against my hand. I'm getting better consistency than I ever did out of my old logs. I'm just in love with this thing and kicking myself for waiting this long to get one.

I really hope that the Woodscents will be available in Europe very soon. I have been waiting for more than a year to get my hands on one of these beauties. I have kept my vaporizer-collecting-addiction on hold because i was and still am shure it is the next best thing since sliced bread. The Splinter and the Sticky Brick also caught my interest but i think my patience will be rewarded in the end. Meanwhile i keep on checking the this forum almost daily for the good news from Ed. Greetings from Belgium from a vape enthousiast

Hey all,

Finally registered after lurking these forums for months. Stopped smoking years ago due to anxiety when high but recently came across CBD flower and like it. Looking to get a desktop vape and have been doing hours of research. I finally arrowed it down to log vapes (i.e., WoodScents, E-Nano, Underdog). After hours of more research...came to the conclusion that I would want to get the WoodScents.

Long shot to ask but figured I would try. Just wondering if there is going to be any more modifications or accessories added to the WoodScents? The reason I ask is because I am more than willing to wait months to get the latest and greatest. Actually highly debating to see if VapCap will release something new this year, just to get the latest tip and cap with WoodScents purchase.

Really happy to see that the glass piece was added free of charge! Truly shows your commitment to your product, especially with life/kids etc. Of course, would never expect that there would never be a price change but just another voice appreciating your support to the community.

I wouldn't wait that long to get one, log technology has remained pretty much the same for the past twenty or so years or however long these things have been out for and I don't see it changing much in the foreseeable future either. Wouldn't really worry too much about waiting for a new vapcap tip or anything either, I've got tips from pretty much the first gen caps to the most recent ones and my unrefined palette can barely tell the difference between any of them. If anything I like the older generation ones because it's easier to put the screens in

Either way you'll totally love it once you get it!

To second what @sixstringsmash said, I would go ahead and grab one. Any new DynaVap product will likely be compatible (they have worked hard to keep the tips backwards compatible), and you are getting a log vape, DynaVap stem, glass piece, water pipe adapter, and aroma tray, and probably even more that I’m forgetting at the moment, all in one. If I could only buy one vape thing, it would be this package. It just has everything you need.

I dont own a WS but I do know it comes with everything you could possibly need for vaping. Ed provides the complete package all in one. I will own one someday. Go for it, you wont be disappointed.

The first best choice I have made in years concerning my cannabis use was to get my first vaporizer. I say that not because it was the best vaporizer I could have owned (but my MFLB will always be in my cabinet, and always have a special place in my collection and my vaporizer use rotation), but because it was my first move toward vaporizing my cannabis and overall fucking combustion.

The second best choice I've made so far concerning my cannabis use, and my vaporizing hobby (as a fun "hobby" is what it's also become for me with all the vape tech available these days, lol), was to get my Woodscents log.

'Nuff said.

Really appreciate the response. That is such a deeper insight into the whole market that I had never thought of looking into. And the insight into the vapcap tips over the years having a negligible impact completely changed my mind about waiting for a potential new release.

I see the WoodScents made it into your top four over your Underdogs. Not trying to derail the thread of comparisons but just wondering if there is anything that really stands out with the WS over the Underdog for you?

That is a very good point, had actually never thought about the new VapCap being different than the previous one. But good to know that they are all backwards compatible. Definitely good of Dynavap to not change the size so everyone else's previous purchases are no longer usable with newest tech, like Apple changing the changer of every new release :/.

That is one of the huge selling points to me! Seems like everything you will ever need and more is included. I was originally thinking about waiting to see if a new accessory would come out just to have an even more complete package but based off of everyones input I am going to jump on it much sooner. Realistically, will probably find one attachment that I really like and not use the others anyway.

Just get you're woodscents @sisonpyh .
I have no doubt that you will be happy with your decision.

That is a pretty powerful statement! I am really happy to have switched to vaporizing. Can't believe how little I looked into smoking vs vaping, just never thought about it at the time. I remember trying a MFLB around when they first started coming out and really enjoying it. Never bought one though.

I see you have quite a number of vapes, anything in particular that the WS does for you over the others? Forgot to mention in my original post that I have a Fury 2. Really enjoy the fast heat up time but think VAS got me . I think a desktop + VavCap would complete my setup for anything I would ever need.

Also, any preference to grinder for the WS? I only have the one that came with Fury 2, eventually want to do research on grinders and get another one that would be better suited.

For me it's the quality of craftsmanship, the titanium heater, the consistent vape it provides, and the ability to fit any vapcap tip on the thing. I love my UD to death, it started my love of logs but my WS just vapes much more evenly and consistent. The one thing that I do like about the UD over the WS though is that the dogs tend to run a little hotter than the WS on just a regular power supply. On just a regular 12V power supply my WS will vape my herb to a nice even light brown while the dog tends to extract a much darker load. but as long as you have a VVPS(get one, it's hands down the best accessory you can have for your WS) on hand you're still able to crank that temp up and get that really dark fully extracted load with the WS too.

Always on, easy/convenient, extremely efficient, extremely (completely instant, and on-fucking-demand) fast to get a hit and move on (and it's got the highest quality titanium & wood only airpath).

And, it fits within the Dynavap universe! That's very important. My Dynavap parts play well with my Woodscents and my Woodscents plays well with my Dynapap parts! I love that about it!

Once I picked up a stand for my tools (made by Aezhenn), my Woodscents vaporization station gives me all I need at my desk.

And it works fantastically with water when I want those large, faster hits!

Sad to report that I'm finally out of the log club again. I never really had a great chance to come in here and have good discussion about this vape. After reading all of the great post about the amazing quality I was really expecting to enjoy it much more than I was able to. I'm still almost convinced my unit is broken from all of these post praising it, but Ed said it was perfect. Guess I can't be too upset since I have other vapes to fall back on, but I was really hoping to scratch a microdose itch here. I hope my ashwood ws is appreciated in it's new home.

Did you dislike the vapcap component or just the whole log? I think liking the vapcap is an integral part of this.
I'm curious what vapes you do like.

I loved the vapcap compatibility. I ended up using it as a vapcap for the most part. It was the best way for me to fully extract my material with the WS. Unless I was running at the max dial temp I didn't get great/any performance even though most people report great results on 7 or 8. If I was using my log it was at somewhere between 12-13 on the vvps through water because it would be a bit hot to just sip on. Any lower than 12v and my material didn't seem to cook at all, and this is a huge flavor sacrifice that also turns into one hit bowls. No hate towards Ed he really worked with me as I even sent the unit back for review. Maybe just not my kind of vape? I fully enjoy my Flowerpot SH, Mighty, SB Jr/hydrobrick, arizer EQ, and dynavaps. But I could only use the log in that one method no matter how much I used it. I handed it off to a buddy who also enjoys vaping, so I'm hoping to get better reports that he can work it.
