Hi Djsleepy. Welcome to the Ghost MV thread. I just got here from the Square thread, too, but I didn’t miss the sale. My Ghost arrived yesterday, and seems very promising. I’ll post more after some experience with it.

Please do and glad.you got in on it:tup:

All I remember is about 5 million different sized silicone rings that were always breaking. I didn't use it long at all. Can't remember what I did with it; sure hope I sold it cheap...
Lol I know what you mean

I just don't know how people rate the mighty/crafty so highly
I had to pack the chamber full and tightly to produce even half decent clouds and after the 1st hit the taste went to burnt popcorn taste..efficiency wasn't as good as the ghost either..

Loving the ghost so far, herbs taste the best at lowest temp
Go straight in at level 5...

And sleep tight lol!!

So I’ve been loving the ghost so far. It’s my go-to vaporizer. However today I noticed the chrome chipping off of the crucible holder? I use the ghost exclusively at home, have never dropped it, basically I baby the hell out of this bad boy, so I have no clue how this happened. I’m not sure if it’s safe or not to continue using it. Any input would be appreciated. I’ve uploaded a pic for reference.

That looks to me like normal wear and tear from the tension spring in the back of the unit...carry on. Even if it was concerning, it's outside the air path.

How long have you had it?

I think it would be fine to use still..but id check with ghost just to be sure.

It should NOT be considered "normal wear and tear". I understand that it is outside of the air path, but what's stopping the chrome flakes from falling into the air path whenever I open the crucible holder to load another bowl? It's not like the chipped off chrome just magically disappears.

Just a couple days shy of 3 weeks. Didn't start using it until about 1 week of ownership due to time constraints and what not.

I wouldn't be to happy if it was mine after just 3 weeks..fair enough if you'd had it for a few months...I would contact ghost mate.

Any idea how I should go about that, as in should I contact them here or through their website? Not sure which one would be more effective.

I think this happens pretty quickly, and then it's done. My oldest beta unit, going on one year now, that has seen a ton of use looks just like that. There is a limited contact area and it won't spread any further. It's purely cosmetic at this point, and on the inside.

I was in that Square fest also.
I grabbed a Ghost over the summer as I waited for my Square to serviced a second time.

When the Square worked, it was incredible. But it didn't always work well. And, once I tried the Ghost I forgot all about the issues we had with the Square. The Ghost just worked. No special technique needed. No questioning the pack tightness. No multitude of parts to clean.

My only 'complaint', coming from the Square, is that the crucibles are small. Well, actually, they are fine, but the Square really spoiled me with nearly .25 in a packed pod. I'd have nearly a full gram loaded in the Square with no need to reload anything. But, the crucibles are a great size, and easy to swap out. And cleaning is so much easier than the Square.

I loved my Haze Dual, wanted to love the Square, but we move on to better things.

S&B should stick to the Volcano.

This is what I find so amazing about the MV1: the taste is so flavorful on the first couple of hits; I can taste all kinds of things. This vape is like a rosin press or something, and vaporizes just the sticky stuff. There's always tiny amounts of sap on the crucible cover and the heat sink, like a rosin press!!! (Unless it's reclaim?)

I keep saying this, but it works differently from every other vape I've ever had. Those guys broke through to another dimension with this technology, and I think everyone will have to step up their game or go out of business like Haze. This is a technological revolution and I'm not trying to be dramatic: vape tech will never be the same.

I never got this kind of high from either the Haze or the S&B Plenty, which would eat up a gram of bud at a time. With the MV1 .2-.3 of a gram--a crucible or two--gives me a totally different high, like a concentrate high. Smoove.

Have been watching this for a while...have been scouting another portable to add to my Flowerpot/Volcano/Mighty vape collection.

Was seeing too many issues for a while but things seem to be improving. If I see a good deal I just might jump...

I have had my Mighty for over 2 years and it still produces dense, tasty clouds like day 1. That is why people rate it so highly.

Ok, here's my mini-review after 1 day with the Ghost MV1.

Quick summary if you don't want to read the rest: This vape is excellent, with only minor downsides, and hits like a truck. It's a keeper!

About me: I have a fair bit of experience with vapes, a few years anyway. Like some others here, I had a Haze Square that both thrilled and disappointed me. When it worked, it was fantastic, but it was finicky and hard to use/clean.

Anyway, got the Ghost day before yesterday, charged it up, and familiarized myself with its use. Then yesterday I jumped in and used it the entire day as my main vape. I put about 5 full crucibles through it, less than I expected to use because this thing hits so hard I just didn't need more.

Performance-wise, this thing is excellent. I had no problems getting vapor, it just worked. Heat up time is very fast! I quickly figured out how much draw to give it, and how far to extend the stem, to get the right amount for me (I like a medium amount of vapor, enough to see but not enough to make me cough). Hits were flavorful right up until the end of the bowl. Those first few were just like the Square, full of terps and flavor, really tasty.

Did I mention it hits hard? I was a bit over-medicated the entire day, lol. I use a lot of CBD for my inflammation issues, and it went down super-smooth in this thing. And my normal THC bud had me floating. The Ghost MV1 delivers.

After using it the whole day, I took it apart this morning to clean. It turned out to be barely dirty. This thing will go a week for me, easy, before needing any cleaning. Taking it apart was a bit hard, cuz it's new and tight, but not too bad. And the rubber gasket on the top has to be on a certain way or else the top won't fit down right, but I figured it out. I can see that cleaning the device will be easy enough.

Battery life seems ok. I don't care for battery packs, I'd prefer external batteries that I can buy and charge in my regular charger, but at least this one seems fairly viable. I'm still gonna need an extra battery pack to get me through a day, though. Or leave it on charge, but that's a pain.

Filling the device is easy. The crucibles are the perfect size, for me, holding just the right amount of herb. Inserting the crucible is the hardest part, you have to align it just right and keep the lid from moving. Shaky hands need not apply. I didn't have any real problems though. I'm sure I'll slip and dump a crucible or two along the way, but it's fine. :)

Coming back to a partially-vaped bowl is no problem. The taste degrades verrrry slowly, and is good right up until the very end. Very nice.

The top gets hot with extended use, but that's expected. It cooled off reasonably quickly.

Downsides for me are:
1) The shape and feel. It's a weird shape that I find hard to hold onto. My hands are relatively small for a male, so perhaps someone with larger hands would find it more comfortable. For me, the combination of a very sleek and slippery finish (I got the silver satin, thinking it would have some friction to it -- it doesn't), the shape, and the weight of the device make it want to just slide out of my hand. I'll get used to it, but I wish it had a rubbery surface, or a glove I could put on it. Not a big deal, just a slight downside.

2) The "one button to rule them all" design sucks. To change temps, I have to press and hold for 3 secs, then release, then press and hold again for 3 secs, then release again, and then press multiple times to select the temp. And don't delay between any of the steps, or it starts over. Hello? Usability designer? Go back to school. Fortunately I found that I don't have to change the temp, really. Leaving it at 392 does pretty much everything I need it to do anyway. But still...it's not a good design. I'm sure it saves money, or something. Bleh.

3) The latch is hard to use -- it's so slippery and has barely anything to catch your finger, so sliding it is very difficult (especially with a bit of arthritis like I have). I examined it closely and figured out that I can insert a fingernail into the crack at the front of the latch and it springs right open without any pressure, though. It's okay, just not great, and I'm afraid it'll break sometime. We'll have to see.

4) LED hell. The device looks like a bad knockoff of a toy lightsaber. All those curves, and soooo many blinking lights. Seriously, why do designers think lots of LEDs are cool? Give me a nice little LCD screen that shows me temp and battery level! Fuck this "three green LEDs means this, and one red LED means this, and..." In use, it's like a disco, blinkity blink blink. Yeah. I hate that part. Again, I'll get used to it fast enough, but it's bad design.

Bottom line, I really like this vape! The downsides are pretty minor, and the performance is simply excellent.

I like the taste at level 1 and 2 then 3-5 becomes less flavorful but more cloudy

It can be confusing at first, after using it 2-3 times i find it very easy to use, it performs and looks sexy while at it

I just can't stop crying.
It happened again. The latch broke.
I don't understand. No issues prior.
Today I popped the heatsink out to clean.
I noticed a little chip in the latch catch.
Snapped a pic, sent it to ghost.
The chip was still attached, like a flap, so wondered about putting a drop of glue on it.
Reassembled after cleaning and that's when it broke completely.

I really love the vaporizer. A lot.
But the latch is a issue.
Hoping maybe to try a satin silver instead, if this is a issue with the stealth.

Never did the latch feel stiff in any way.
Always opened effortlessly.

Sounds like this is a BIG problem...hope mine doesn't break as I have a stealth too.

It's frustrating.
Like others, I babied it.
Probably more than most, because of the multiple replacements.
I absolutely love the vaporizer.
I hate the latch.

The latch worked easily.
Slide thumb across latch, and it would open with no noticeable resistance.
I'm in no way rough with it.

Frustrating
