@415vapor, those colors are stunning together.

So you drop in just to post pics as a tease, knowing full well that what we really want to know is your opinion on how it performs. (*I'm sure Grinders For Life, also, is waiting with baited breath to hear. :o ) All I can say is that you better check in tomorrow & report back! :goon:

Merry Christmas to all!

See? This is EXACTLY how scam operations work. Collect as many pre-orders for a device that is expensive, but not too expensive for people not to fall for it. Wait. Postpone the delivery several times. When people get nervous, let some sock puppets post that they have received something to calm the masses. Wait. Tell them it's the festive days, something unforeseeable happened, we do it all for quality, doesn't matter. Let new sock puppets post images and raving reviews. Wait until all chargeback timeframes are over. Win.

Looks nice. Really looking forward to mine when it arrives. I just hope it will not get delayed by customs...

Hey man, I like you and you're funny!

That's the funniest shit I've seen since the last funny thing I saw!

I am really excited for this grinder, but I won't get it soon :( that is making me sad, but just a little ... I'm more excited it's going to get here KAPOOYA

@Dynavaper, shame on you, you're terrible. I'm sure that GFL feels bad enough without you posting this. And you know, there's gonna be some nervous member who is gonna take it to heart & believe it's true, & then we'll have a conspiracy theory going on in the thread.

Who/what is juniper @Hogni? :hmm: You're confusing me today.

& @juxt, what is KAPOOYA? Everyone's confusing me today. :uhh:

That juniper thing is a secret between @Hogni and me. He must have been quite stoned to mention that here and was probably completely out of his mind. That wasn't clever and I am sure he regrets it already. I mean, nobody should know about the tiny secret that two grown up men and a handful of Juniper Berries have. And my apologies for being terrible. It's the season... ;)

Well, I wiki'd it an can't figure out any innuendo for it.

So, what you're saying is that now, as you've already gotten your gifts, & not a bag of coal from Santa, you can afford to be terrible ... especially since Xmas 2019 is 365 days away.

I wish I had this grinder in my hand. If I could, in my mind, think that I had it in my hand and make it real, it would be in my hand.

I really like the design of this grinder and everything, but im prepared to be disappointed. I have like 50 grinders already .. basically if it does better than just MUSH THE BUD UP, I'm gonna like it. I kinda know I like it already from the color. I knew I wouldn't like that SS one .. but I bought it anyway, what a fool!

I WANT TO LEARN TO DANCE BETWEEN THE RAINDROPS.

Sockpuppet, eh? lol. The bad thing is i'm a brand new account (been a "forever reader") AND my first post was here!!!

Last night I gave them a soapy scrub and let dry overnight.

1st impression: BCG has nice a nice heft to it but not overly heavy weighing in at ~160g. Moving from threads, to quarter turn, and now an all magnetic enclosure is a welcome innovative change! I can't stress how nice it is to "clamshell" open this grinder! Please repeat - no more turning!! The magnets are all very strong - it does not feel like it will just fall apart on me while in use. The subtle curve "brilliant cut" feels good resting against your palm - I immediately notice this feel compared to my flat bottom grinder. Since I only use fingertips for the top, I don't notice the dome, but if you grip differently then this works. A quicker way of saying what I mean is the curves are a nice ergonomic touch (pun??). The twisting action is butter smooth (it's brand new/clean, so duh). Love the color and grind size options available - you can build to your liking!

Disclaimer: Never understood what the fuss was about with grinders and so this would be considered my first quality purchase. Read: I don't have much comparative data.

Next up: actually grinding! lol

Fine plate pics!!
This pic I was trying to show the uniformity of grind. Most of the bud was smaller than the fat side of a toothpick.

Grinders generally behave differently (worse imo) when grinding small amounts vs fully packed. Showing here that a small load is not as fine as when fully loaded, but still not bad at all!

I ran about 3/8ths of herb on the dry side. Not bone dry, but def not moist like my other batch. Showing here that this is not technically advertised as a non-stick finish but the anodizing is smooth enough to not retain much. I used my finger to gently push the herb into a container. No scraping involved! I probably need to run at least an oz thru this and see how the action is. As expected, very smooth.

Just flipped the fine plate over to show the cleanliness of the grinding side.

Other data points: .5g will almost fully pack it. My use case is that I'd grind one nug at a time. I guess it being a 2" grinder vs the more typical 2.5" and larger makes this better for me in that I grind small amounts. The bowl holds an amazing (?) 3g of herb. Its to the brim, so probably not recommended.
Other thoughts: On my threaded (gasp!) grinder I will always inadvertently start unscrewing the base. I imagine 1/4 turn models could be even more problematic. It was a pleasant experience knowing that the base is locked into place! Filling up EVO ELB's was not an issue with that center post. Using the pax loading tool (a big scoop) was not an issue (now I did have an issue about scratching the finish lol). Just to be clear - it would be easier if that post wasn't there, its just not a big deal. This post is also a necessary part of the design.

Idea for @Grinders for Life on an iterative update: tweak the bottom center post so that it fits/locks with the top piece (in my pic both blue parts). Why? Now I have a portable container like what gr8tr v2 does but better because no threads! This leads me to accessories: build a proper top for storage. Build a bottom for 2 piece use. This may not be a practical idea due to hand movement, but have a funnel attach to the middle grind plate vs the bowl. I could grind directly into whatever I wanted. I'm gonna mod a funnel to attach to the bowl side. Build a top with a socket for those with wrist/hand issues or for those who just like using power tools! :p

Since thumbnails here are so giant I used spoilers to keep my post reasonable in length. Good idea??

GFL's most recent IG show three sapphire grinders, one of which was mine. Have the other two been received by anyone yet? Or am I still the lone wolf :(
p.s. GFL didn't send me tracking info but the email update I got was "order complete."

@elykpeace woo hoo! excellent way to kick off the new yr. can't wait to hear your thoughts. i am loving mine and its features.

zero cleaning so far and the action is still smooth. i'm on sticky bud now and want to get over an oz before i roll out another report. i did go back to my old grinder (zero cleaning) and the action is sticking...not a pleasant experience at all. i really hope the design with minimized areas of friction will keep this smooth sailing for a while. so far it seems like it!

tip: dont grind upside down. i was experimenting to see if it would grind even finer, but the way it's designed ends up making a mess. it's really not necessary tho considering the fine plate is quite fine. i am looking at the MF finishing or the storz small so that I can have a complete spectrum of grind - dust > fine > medium > coarse accomplished in just two grinders!

Fucking Combustion (mostly) Since February 2017
I've had a Beta version (before the new tooth redesign) for three months, and have been using it daily ever since. I have not cleaned it yet, other than regularly brushing it out, and it's still fairly clean. It doesn't have the non-stick coating of my SLX 2.0, but it's been much easier to keep clean than pretty much any other grinder I have except for the SLX. Combine that with the ease of use the threadless design adds, and it's still my #1 daily driver.

Just checked the site, ready to get a speciaal first gift for 2019...

Unfortunately, I am shown prices in dollars(100$), and not in euros like it was last week(66€ I believe).

This would mean, if I have to pay in dollar , it would cost me more then 100€ after the bank takes a big cut for changing my euros te dollars ...

@Grinders for Life could you look into this?

You guys maybe comming to spannabis in Barcelona in march? Because if so, I might prefer getting it from you guys in person
